Unbelievable that the official Super XV report says the Cheetahs supporters team won the tug of war. Who do you believe? Tony Johnson and the official website report or the mouthpiece of the Auckland Rugby Union?
Direct quote from the official report says: The half time score is Blues 14 Cheetahs 3 The second half is underway. At half time there was a tug of war between the Blues fans and the Cheetahs fans. The Cheetahs fans won. Google the super XV website and read it for yourself.
This is atrocious. With the RWC coming up we do not need our international guests treated like this. The Blues have tarnished our reputation, give the kids the voucher they deserve! This act just reinforces the opinion that the rest of NZ has about Auckland! I wonder what Adidas think about the mis-use of their sponsorship???
For shame Auckland Rugby, that camera angle is pretty conclusive, and if the unbiased commentator reckons the Cheetah supporters won it then I would take his word over the rah-rah man in the middle with the microphone.
