Citroen SM = Concorde of the roads.

I'm drivin an old Citroen with this suspension for nearly 250000 Miles and it never broke down and is very, very comfortable and practical if maintained properly, which is really easy and cheap to manage.

Rolls-Royce and Mercedes used similar systems in their most expensive cars.

Mercedes actually licensed the design from Citroen for their 450SEL 6.9. So basically that car uses a Citroen-designed suspension. Mercedes also added a few improvements to it but the design and origins are from Citroen. Coincidentally, Citroen and Mercedes are my two most favorite car brands. These are emotional brands that bring a smile to my face with their innovations, cars, style and history. Lexus? BORING.

Very cool and very interesting. I agree, cars no-days are slightly boring and are mainly used to profit. Build the cheapest car, from the cheapest parts, make it functional and sell at a profit.

one of the best fld has brought to us. loving alex roy on the show. what a car. makes me proud to be european. it's odd, coz as a european, ive always dreamt of owning an american classic and apparently the americans want our classics :D citroen don't make em like they used to which is a shame. they are bringin back the DS name over here, but it will never live up to the classic DS. i wonder if alex will trade an m5 for one of these? :P

The SM also featured directional headlamps, just like the DS. The breaks and the steering were innovative and great. And what about the whipers? :-)
