this vid is WAYYYYYYYYYY out dated we use "stud guns" now to pull the dents that way theirs no holes in it and you want to get it pulled out more than that so you can use a polyester filler to smooth the pannel not gob job it with bondo hair.. plus with holes you can hit a pothole and the mud WILL crack.

That car is a big chunk of metal, those taps with the hammer did nothing. But this is a do it yourself vid, of course its not porperly educating. Even if u are using old school or crappy tools, the dent need's further pulling. If hed pulled it out much more it be ok..

Body shops dont use those dent pullers anymore the are extinct if you do use a dent puller like that either weld your holes up or spread a fiberglass filler over them since fiberglass is moisture resistant it`ll last longer than just packing bondo over it if you do that the filler will just suck up water rust out your panel then crack off

You can use the dent puller just instead of packing bondo over the holes use fiberglass filler and pull the dent far out enough to where its about 1/8 inch deep rough the metal up with 36-40 grit apply the fiberglass then sand then apply body filler

Dpends what you are doing if you are putting a red fender on a white car you want to paint the fender with a sealer so the red doesnt show through the white if you strip the whole car to bare steel yeah primer it all with a self etching or epoxy primer to protect the metal if youre doing body work shoot it with a primer surfacer then sand and apply a sealer or epoxy primer over it

FYI, I used the exact same procedure & restored a top cab corner on my pickup truck. I defy you to tell which side. So, it's often better to keep your mouth shut, if you don't know what you're talking about. And you obviously don't!

I have done body repair and custom cars for over twenty years and have never drilled holes to pull a dent. get a stud gun or weld a tab on if you cant afford that then take out the interior and use a prybar, if you dont weld the holes up or at least unercoat the back side where the bondo worms squeeze through it will soak up water eventually rusting. if you are going to teach . teach the right way, that is butchering the work.
