  • The personality of the person with a brain injury does NOT change - their behaviour changes as a result of living with and coping with the damage done to the brain. See 'Anne E Ricketts' on youtube.

  • :(

  • Yes, they are perplexing. My brother never came back from a "road trip". I have no where to go to mourn him. I still love my brother but he is the exact opposite as he was before his accident. He used to be sweet, empathetic, and a "go-getter"! I wish my Mother would understand why he is so bitter. Additionally, it did not help that she kept his settlement, formed a business and cut him out! May God help Larry!

  • You're not helping anyone.

  • Very well said. Thank you .. This is a very serious issue and it covers a full range of illnesses not just brain injury. Emotions of sick or terminal people can be devestating to family or any caregiver. Now a video has to be done about the personality changes in caregivers! It is a fact that most caregivers go through serious health issues both emotional, as well as physical due to caring for dysfunctional patients.
