I've never used road sms, think free office is great for opening most office docs, like .pdf .docx, .xps etc on the go, yeah the screen does buzz a bit sometimes, took me a lot longer then a week to notice though.

The truth is that Apple currently has a better application store and music experience on the phone in general. I have only ever used the default Android music player, the one included on the Xperia X10 however, is apparently one of the best ones out there.

when i bought my samsung galaxy S the battery was ok better then a lot of phones not the best but glad urs works good lol and yes the screen is very responsive and very bright i had to turn mine down as well lol and it doesnt get that glare from the sun lol you have the same background as me :) i think the camera is amazing unfortunately i dont like that i cant ever send the pics in messages stupid ATT but i now just save the pics in my SD card and then put that into my computer and load them

I have the Vibrant and I love it. its the same as the i9000 but it does not have the front facing cam and the middle home key. But I agree it is a very nice phone. Light but very Solid and I really cant get over the display when im with friends and have have there iphones and evos and droids this Galaxy S screen just stands out and there is a really big speed difference this phone is much faster then anything out there and I love swype, its much faster then a full keyboard. Best phone.

@bornnraised1 im not sure about that. We also have the battery life display, video recording, best touch, no fragmentation on phones that come out this year. Also itunes, a lot of cool little features that they add to ios, we get regular software updates and much more ;)

I am thinking of getting this phone, so I've checked out many of these reviews. The one thing that is mising from almost every single one is call quality. How good of a PHONE is it???? That's kind of an important aspect when that is what you're buying it for in the first place no?? No wonder iphone 4 has issues. In the recent Futurerama episode where they parodied the iPhone, where the characters all went and bought the new iPhone, and it was some time before they realized it was a phone as well. So yeah, it seems to be about the wizzo bits, and not about its core function.

i disagree, with the evo comment. i believe the evo to be better for me as a user but i think the samsung is beautiful but tends to blow people away with its screen. the os and ui on the galaxy is also top notch. the sense ui is slightly better. im in britain so im waiting for the desire hd, being a evo variant coming here to europe finally. large screens on phones are great. just got to wait what screen htc have built into it. super lcd or super amoled.

Just wanted to point out that the device Chris reviewed is not the Samsung Galaxy S Captivate. Unfortunately, the Captivate doesn't bring a lot of those apps out of the box. On the positive side, it also doesn't have any issues with the camera. The entire design of the Captivate is very different from the device Chris reviewed. I think it was a pretty good review. He actually seemed to enjoy that one, didn't seem as forced as with the Evo.

whats great about this phone is that its hardware is just beautiful, i love it. i personally prefer htc sense though, i think its more full filling os however just imply touching the screen of this device is enough to blow u away. the colours are so vibrant and the images are just so crisp.

If U don't care about camera and inbuilt memory, htc goes all the way, as per today's situation, galaxy s going to be common and htc is little like out of the crowd, htc feels little business type but the main thing I liked about htc is you can easily navigate through home screens, well I go for Samsung just because I see the camera the most in my phone :)
