The Dreamcast was a fantastic console, far superior to that piece of garbage the PS2 that it was in competition with. Why it did not wipe the floor with that piece of garbage the PS2, I'll never know.  But then again, there are a load of lemmings walking this earth. @TONYLOVESU I love the dreamcast but it was just destined to fail it had 1/4 the ram of the ps2 much less processing power and developers criticized it for not having enough space on gd roms.

Had sega addressed these issues the dreamcast would probably be much more alive today.

@Max1130 You claim it was technically inferior, yet as far as I can remember the games looked far better in comparison to the PS2's. Take the ports for example... games like Virtua Tennis, Crazy Taxi, Resident Evil Code Veronica, all looked worse on the Sony PS2, than they did on the Dreamcast. If a machine that was technically inferior could produce graphics that were superior to a machine that was alledgedly more powerful, then I'd rather have the Dreamcast. Dreamcast>PS2.

I mean look at some of the sonic games on gba that are almost unplayable.

Perhaps because Sega can't port to other machines for the life of them? Took a look at games like Gran Turismo 3 and Metal Gear Solid 2 (which are merely 1st generation PS2 games, let alone stuff like Final Fantasy XII and God of War II), then ask yourself sincerely, could they be done on the Dreamcast?

PS1>Saturn.

Oh, and I hate to break it to you, but the Dreamcast was NOT in competition with the PS2. It competed with the N64 and PS1, both of which, the Dreamcast couldn't outsell either.

Anyone notice the kanji at 00:00:26? Turns out (according to a friend) THIS is Point Double X, the place Purge designates as the handoff point in Report 3 to free the hostages and the President in return for 6.6 Trillion Space Dollars. Wonder why it was cut out of the English version...?
