I respectfully disagree. The stage was set perfectly for Rodgers to fail his first season starting, but he managed to put up commendable stats and assert himself as a leader in the clubhouse. The point that fans that wanted favre back, the point they were making was not that Rodgers was a bad qb, it's that favre is better, and there's no doubt about that. MVP candidate when you're 40. he beat Rodgers twice this year. If Favre wins the superbowl (which he really has a shot at) this year, then there is really no more discussion, it was a bad decision to let favre go. And when I say Favre's got a shot at the superbowl is because I don't see anyone in the NFC that can beat the Vikings.

Obviously Rodgers can be one of the elite qb's in the nfl, he;s in the pro bowl this year, a great football player. But Rodgers IS NO FAVRE. I respectfully disagree. The stage was set perfectly for Rodgers to fail his first season starting, but he managed to put up commendable stats and assert himself as a leader in the clubhouse. Now the Packers are 10-5 and preparing for a wildcard showdown. What Rodgers ultimately will do, we will have to see. But I think his future looks bright.

Its barely his second season as starter so give him at least 3 more season to see what kind of QB he'll be. Rodgers is more patient in the pocket and smarter and he looks like he wont CHOKE like the previous QB who played for them.

As a Viking fan I love Farve he is the man and I pick him any day over Rodgers. I will admit though, Rodgers is a good QB and he has a good future, but Farve is still a legend and should be remembered by Green Bay fans as the man that led them to a Super Bowl victory

Our QB is playing better than Favre right now but the vikes have one thing we don't have. Protection. A-Rod has been on his ass more than any other QB in the league this season and still has one of the best QB ratings in the league... We don't need Favre, we need an O-line.

I was really disappointed in (some) packers fans when I heard they were using favre's jersey to on door mats and burning it in barrels. If a great player wants to play and the team didn't let him, can u blame him for playing for another team,?Even if its your biggest rival? No, cuz he just wants to play football, if you don't want him, maybe somebody else does. It's sad that fans go to extremes to show their hate to a QB who gave the best 16 seasons of his life.

thank you saying this. both of them are great qbs. but i would like to see favre score about 30 points a game and then your defense give up 31. ITS NOT HIS FAULT. he cant do everything . and then rodgers gets blamed for not being able to win a close game. not his fault the defense let the offense score with 20 seconds left.
