@ScottRichardStoller Depends on the type of Canadian you are. 1) Nice and has good taste in movies. 2) A 12 year-old Canadian pot-smoker who thinks he's bad-ass, yet clearly had no idea what the movie was about. #1s have very valid opinions. #2s do not. Could you do me a favor and send me some Tim Bits?
Metatron: God? Lonely. But funny. He's got a great sense of humor. Take sex for example. There's nothing funnier than the ridiculous faces you people make mid-coitus.
Bethany: Sex is a joke in heaven?
Metatron: The way I understand it, it's mostly a joke down here, too.
uh can i get a nickel bag 15 bucks little man put that shit in my hand-if that money doesn't show then ya owe me owe me oh my jungle love yeah oh ee oh ee oh i think i wanna know ya know ya yeah what
since i have been watching harry potter, I see snape in alan rickman its just so weird and not human for him not to have a serious face and insulting a child :)
I can see where Catholics would be offended, but most of us Catholics are pretty laid back when it comes to making fun of us. At least in my experience. It is a very funny movie. And is it just me or was "Jersey Girl" a good film?
@SwillettisRwillett The movie is very funny. A couple things to look out for though: A) I hope your friend is okay with the catholic religion being made fun of. B) it's a also a part of a 6 film series (Kevin Smith's New Jersey Chronicles, or Askewniverse) that begins with Clerks, then Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back, and finally Clerks II. If she hasn't seen the rest of them, she'll miss out on some of the in-jokes from the other movies. Hope this helps!
@pbiasizzo Sorry. I just wanted to mention that the series actually plays out in a different order. Instead of coming one right after another (which is how they were released) the series actually goes: Mallrats, Clerks (takes place the day after Mallrats - the funeral is of the girl who was meant to be the contestant), Chasing Amy (this is where Bluntman and Chronic begins), Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (that's how they got the money they were owed to get to Wisconsin), Dogma, and Clerks II.
@SwillettisRwillett I love the disclaimer at the beginning of the movie. It does take on a few of the issues about religion today, but, when all is said and done, this is a fun movie to watch...the Chris Rock character is excellent!
@Exoixx no it doesn't, a man who spent his life denouncing religion and mocking the ignorence of religious people, appearing in a film that was created to celebrate the faith of a religious person.
@xXKidzOnKrackXx to be fair though it had some sound theological ideas behind it. Or at least that's what I said all those years ago in my religious education exam.
