These stupid ass White Boyz don't know that they are in presence of real musicians. James Alexander and Larry Dodson are the real deal straight out of the most musical city on planet earth,Memphis TN. No Musician like a M-Town Musician. Not NYC,LA Atlanta,Chi,Austin not even our white neighbors to the east;Nashville. The Funk,Blues,Rock and everything else is wicked down here baby! Elvis was a fuckin joke by real Memphis music standards. He shouldn't have even come out of this town!
I agree. Man, not knowing that James Alexander is a bass giant, a music legend, AND the only original member of the Bar-Kays (who thereby obviously played on *all* their records) is a bit.. shall we say.. ignorant? ;) But thanks for uploading the clip.
I just happened to do a search on "Larry Dodson" and this video came up. And it's been online for only 7 days?!! Wow, what a coincidence. I'm really glad you shared this, jumpbackjake. At first I didn't think you knew who you were talking to (James Alexander, bass, is one of the original Bar-Kays. He played bass on EVERYTHING done by them I believe.) But as I listened, it was obvious you guys know the music. Please post more like this.
