I'm pretty sure Soilwork and In Flames shared a practice room back when they were new and they're all the best of friends. When this song originally came out, they had In Flames in their video, and Soilwork also appeared in In Flames' single for Trigger in that same time period.

When I listen to him I immediately know what's wrong. It's a combo of having raw vocal chords and him just singing/growling for so long that he's ruined his ability to sing certain notes without either cracking his voice, not making any sound with his vocals, and not hitting the key. It happens. He never could exactly hit all the notes live anyway but it's becoming more obvious here. Soilwork is more of a studio band but it's nice to see them live. Also, he sings for Coldseed.
And also for Disarmonia Mundi and Terror2000. /cough I agree, though, I think Speed is starting to tear his cords up, I always figured that's why he went from screaming to growling in later albums, less damaging.

Now now, James from Metallica blew out his vocal cords several times, but he can still sing. Granted, he had to go sober to do it, but it shows that Speed can keep it up... he just needs to take care of himself, he ain't 20 anymore
Or he might just be deadtired from always doing his 100% on concerts so he toned it down. Singing so loud like he does, so clear its VERY hard. It takes a fuckload of energy so Im guessing he just dont do it on concerts to not be dead afterwards.

Yes he did, just not that often. It's no more a problem today than it was back then. Singing like that takes its toll sometimes.
A singer only involves the crowd as much as he is during this Wacken show when their voice is hurting.
Like others have said, he just needs a little time to let his vocal recover.
