I despise government telling me what to eat and what not to eat with their stupid FDA food pyramid. Shove it up your ass! And get your damn gov't PSAs off my tv. I despise politicians saying that it's "urgent" to fight obesity through gov't initiatives for "healthier lunches" in schools and getting rid of vending machines in HS. I loathe gov't telling us what we can and can't put it on our own bodies or use our bodies how we want it as long as we aren't harming anyone who's actually alive.
I loathe the GOP because it's full of uptight white men who are afraid of change and cling too tightly to tradition. I loathe the Democratic Party because they don't know how to be strategic and win elections. It's only after the failures of Republicans for 6 years that the Democrats could finally regain a majority.
Most Democratic politicians also seem to have no spine, and many of them are just too liberal for my taste. I'm conservative on things like crime, and I'm pro-death penalty.
I'm a social libertarian, which means I take conservative and liberal pro-individualist positions on social issues, rather than collectivist bs on gay marriage (from the right-wing side) or nonsense about being anti-smoking from the left. I despise the gov't trying to tell us what we can adn can't hear on tv or the radio or any other broadcast media. I despise nosy parents regulating with the FCC. I despise "safety" and helmet laws. I despise just about every sign of a nanny state.
Kucinich and Gravel voters and supporters should line up and protest and cause a disturbance within the Democratic National Convention! We have to get our voices heard! We will NOT be denied by a bunch of elitist blind idealist douchebags who vote for Obama and Hilary and don't really care as much about qualifications and message as they do about popularity and "charm" and charisma and meaningless superficial nonsense.
This will truly be the worst election ever. It's tweedle-dee vs. tweedle-dumb to the 3rd power. When both parties nominate people who don't know what the fuck they're doing and flip-flop on an incredible scale, we're truly fucked.
I hope the people actually wake up soon, so we can save this country from impending disaster. All those idealists can fuck off who think that voting Obama in will solve all our problems. I'm a pragmatist! I don't believe in meaningless dreaming.
Mike Gravel was the DNC candidates' Ron Paul, but it's too bad he didn't have near as much of an impact. DNC voters put all their weight behind fucking Obama and Hilary, perhaps the 2 LEAST qualified candidates. Hell, I have more respect for Joe Biden and Chris Dodd than those TWO! DNC voters must truly be idiots. At least the Republican voters nominated McSame, someone who's just as conservative on the important issues as Bush.
DNC voters, meanwhile, nominated a moron named Obama.
Barack Obama and John McCain equal no change. Who knows if true progressives like Mike Gravel and Dennis Kucinich will run again for the DNC nomination? And I'm pretty sure Ron Paul's run for the GOP nomination was a one-time thing.
So in 2012 that means we have really will have no one from either party who actually is qualified to lead. That means it will be ESSENTIAL to vote independent or 3rd party. Let's send a message to the 2 parties to wake up and stop being so fucking ignorant.
Tell them that we don't all fit nicely into their Democratic-Republican spectrum. Most Americans are actually moderates, and only about 40% (or less) combined are liberals and conservatives.
Hell, I find the idea of political parties disgusting in the first place. It causes too much blind faith and partisanship to a certain faction. I was a member of the LP for about a year, but then I didn't renew it. I hate the idea of being some shill for party leaders who want me to just follow them
If parties aren't renewed and refreshed every so often, they get stale, like the 2 parties are today. Both parties have no new ideas. The only guy in the conservative-Republican faction I see with any new ideas who people really pay attention to is Newt Gingrich. Even Ron Paul, a guy with real solutions, is brushed aside and laughed at.
Hell, I considered joining my College Democrats once, but then I realized just how partisan and meaningless it is. They rejected new ideas I put forth.
New progressive ideas that people have been fighting for for years like clean elections, ending the Drug War, and real media reform, were 3 major ideas I proposed on their facebook group. And what did the chairman of the group say in response?
"Oh, well, you know, we're not gonna do that, but we do have 3 [meaningless and pointless] 'issue campaigns' this year." FUCK YOU, sir! If you're not gonna get with the times and adopt real progressive positions, you can go to hell and die as a party

We, the supporters of Gravel, Paul and Kucinich have to maintain solidarity. The more honest candidates whose campaign we protect, the better our chances of succeeding in the long run. Imagine having one of these candidates winning both nominations. How often does this chance arise?
I love this guy's ability to expose the bullshit the other candidates have. He just doesn't seem to have the charisma of Ron Paul though. I wish the Gravel and kucinich people would join with us.
I love Mike Gravel, "Follow the money" That's right, follow the money. You want to know who is going to be running your country follow the money. Right now, Ron Paul has the majority of the people's money... Ron Paul 08
I find Mike Gravel refreshingly honest, and I believe he is the only candidate who truly has the public's best interest at heart. He wants to end this disgusting war, find a solution to our health care catastrophy, and make positive changes in the out-of-control spending in Washington. In my opinion, we should take care of our own with our hard-earned tax dollars, before we send a single cent abroad. Mike Gravel has my vote!
They say he's 'crazy'. The way we live now is crazy. I want something completly different and new. This guy might be it. Please view searchword wilburjr-thanks.
Look guys, the Democratic establishment FIX is in. Its TIME to Mess with BOTH established parties & Shake both establishments to its knees! Don't let them take your vote for Granted. Registar republican, vote Ron Paul in the PRIMARIES who also voted against Iraq War.
This guy has the best PHILOSOPHY of any of the candidates. Why don't people think about what candidates really think about? Instead of focusing on the motive behind the mainstream candidate's political loyalties, the media tells the country who the "good" candidates are. Mike Gravel has the firmest intellectual grip on the entire scope of political issues that concern our country - and no one even knows who he is.
Gravel's great. I hope in my heart if he doesn't get the nod, that he does find some way to exert influence in some fashion upon whoever does. Hillary isnt Bill back in the white house. Gravel needs to keep his voice loud in washington.
Mike Gravel is the only smart person in the running for the Prez,he is the only one that has the back bone to do the right thing for the USA and the world.
Ron Paul is good for prez and Mike Gravel for vice prezz would be the way to go but you can't have your cake and eat it to. Ron paul is very impressive and is probly the only other one in the running that's for the people.
I like him and as he's a Democrat that says a lot for me. Great energy for someone who's 77! If he were the Demo nominee and anyone from the Rep's was the nominee other than Ron Paul I'd vote for him!
I really like both Mike Gravel and Ron Paul. I'm sick of having to pick between "the lesser of two evils", I want to pick between the greater of two goods! I personally learn more towards Ron Paul, but I don't rule out Mike Gravel.
Do you know were I can find more information about gravel and poul. When I started to read books about your goverment i got scared that bush would be crazy enough to nuke other countries. Then I found out about these two men. I was like seen a light.
I am disabled and have not voted since I registered at 18, the first thing they did was send me a jury summons! This Man makes me want to find a way to vote! Gramato8intheUSA
I can't stand the pro-gold standard stance of Paul and I think he looks unpon federal social spending too disfavorably. But, Paul and Gravel make more sense than the other candidates for either major party I've heard speak.
The Congress with sufficient resolve and the strength of leadership can enact this law to withdraw American forces from Iraq within 120 days. Violation of this law would cause the President, the Vice-President, Secretary of Defense and the Secretary of the Treasury to commit a felony, setting the stage for their immediate impeachment and prosecution.
They pull the exact same stunts with Dr. Ron Paul, this isn't about republicans vs. democrats anymore, it's about war vs. peace. The party division is a distracting sham.
I just found out about this guy today, thanks to travisandjonathan Red State Update: if it had not been for them making fun of the rock video I would never have found this guy! My whole family have become instant supporters! Gramato8intheUSA
If I had the money I would send it, but I will be spreading the word about this awsome candidate to all I come into contact with from now on! This is what I have to offer!
I'm poor in cash, but I can talk 'till I'm blue in the face! Lol! But really I had never heard of him 'till now, how many others are out there? None of my family knew of him either! We don't live in caves! We need to tell each other about this guy! Yes I like his policies!
Well I will take Kucinich, Ron paul or Gravel. All very good choices that are likely to do good things for this country should any of them win. The Constitution and Bill of Rights must be restored to full power if this country is to remain true!
I would love to see a race between Gravel and Paul in the end. There could only be one winner of such a race and that is the United States as a whole.
One thing I have to give to the dems, is that they are welcoming Gravel to the debate, on thr other side the republican are trying to ban Paul from the debates.
Yup does the U.S even need more 20 nukes i mean come on. Wasting all this money on straight bullshit. I was listening to the radio like a month ago and they were talking about geting rid of old nukes cause they are outdated and making new ones. I was like whata fuck are they thinking.
gravel speaks out. tackles problems directly. i want him to win.
the only concern is that if in a future issue, if hes president, will he be open enough to admit hes wrong and change his ways for a certain topic (everybodys wrong sometimes), because he really believes what he says (thats what i like about him- and i agree with his points of view, even though im a moderate republican)
If we stuck to the Constitution as written, we would have: no federal meddling in our schools; no Federal Reserve; no U. S. membership in the U.N.; no gun control; and no foreign aid. We would have no welfare for big corporations. "No American troops in 100 foreign countries; no Nafta, GATT, or "fast-track"; no arrogant federal judges usurping states rights; no attacks on private property; and no income tax.
Gravel is the only democratic who has decency and stands out from the crowd of useless politicians. He put Obama and Hillary in their place. He and Ron Paul look like the 2 strongest people. Support them if u want change. Instead of just talking corrupt whore politicians do something about it
CNN didn't show the full clip when Mike Gravel, the senior statesman, told Barack Obama that we were safe, "for awhile," after pressuring him on who he was going to Nuke.
people need to upload more clips like this. I prefer funnier stuff myself, check out dolphinhump. lostfrog . com , I laughed so hard I got kicked out of class! haha.
I'm a conservative fellow, but Gravel strikes me as superior to ALL the Republican candidates. I think he's "talking straight" and not just trolling for votes by saying what people want to hear.
I am liberal (on social issues and on national health care wavers provided by the government) and I like Ron Paul (a Republican nominee) as well even though he is conservative. He truly wants to fix the problems we are in. You may want to check him out. I am some of his videos in my favorites. If you are a conservative and like Mike Gravel, then you will love Ron Paul most likely.
I like both Ron Paul and Mike Gravel, and I like what both have to say on several issues. I think both are intellectually and morally superior to their respective competitors.
I hope Gravel keeps mentioning direct democracy as well. The truth is that no politician, not even Gravel, is going to be entirely disinterested in his or her own position when he or she is making a decision.
"If you took the most ardent revolutionary, vested him in absolute power, within a year he would be worse than the Czar himself." - Bakunin
If you like Gravel, please consider donating to his campaign at his website. The US and the world needs a change and this is one man who has the will to do it.

Both Ron Paul and Mike Gravel are wonderful potential candidates. I would love to see a situation where both end up running against each other.
For the first time in years the American people would have the opportunity to choose who would be the best of two excellent candidates.

Gravels like that guy on the football team thats crazy, but is good at making me laugh. Also the football team is the democratic debates
louisvayofan1 4 years ago
Well I will take Kucinich, Ron paul or Gravel. All very good choices that are likely to do good things for this country should any of them win. The Constitution and Bill of Rights must be restored to full power if this country is to remain true!
oreandra 4 years ago
I would love to see a race between Gravel and Paul in the end. There could only be one winner of such a race and that is the United States as a whole.

Get this guy on television more often! What a breath of fresh air!

One thing I have to give to the dems, is that they are welcoming Gravel to the debate, on thr other side the republican are trying to ban Paul from the debates.

u need nukes for deffense?
GuiltySpark347 4 years ago
Yeah. In theory its supposed to be a deterant. But you're right. They're offensive not defensive weapons.
takedown47 4 years ago
Yup does the U.S even need more 20 nukes i mean come on. Wasting all this money on straight bullshit. I was listening to the radio like a month ago and they were talking about geting rid of old nukes cause they are outdated and making new ones. I was like whata fuck are they thinking.

We recently made videos with Mike Gravel. Check them out now!

Ron Paul is a sane guy with revolutionary ideas. Gravel just sounds like a "revolutionary"...in the bad way. He sounds dodgey and borderline insane.
thebrokenladder 4 years ago
Was he insane when he, by himself, waged a 5 month filibuster ending the draft?
puppydogbreath 4 years ago
Determined insane people can do great things. Hell, I'm kind of schizophrenic myself, and I make great things. I make music. And hair dolls.

I think that I still prefer Ron Paul, but Gravel is by FAR the most interesting of the Democrats. The rest are cookie-cutter clones, including Obama!

I used to suport Obama. Since I heard Mr Garvel, he bacame my hero. F... Obama.

gravel speaks out. tackles problems directly. i want him to win.
the only concern is that if in a future issue, if hes president, will he be open enough to admit hes wrong and change his ways for a certain topic (everybodys wrong sometimes), because he really believes what he says (thats what i like about him- and i agree with his points of view, even though im a moderate republican)

Mike Gravel, Ron Paul and Ralph Nader.
After my Candidates research these guys are the voices of reason.
I'm glad to see that there are some good people out there.
Thank You !

VOTE FOR DR. RON PAUL 2008

Gravel is the only democratic who has decency and stands out from the crowd of useless politicians. He put Obama and Hillary in their place. He and Ron Paul look like the 2 strongest people. Support them if u want change. Instead of just talking corrupt whore politicians do something about it

I totally agree!Gravel is a great man! very outspoken.
Mike Gravel,Ron Paul & Ralph Nader. Americas last hope.

CNN didn't show the full clip when Mike Gravel, the senior statesman, told Barack Obama that we were safe, "for awhile," after pressuring him on who he was going to Nuke.

I'm a conservative fellow, but Gravel strikes me as superior to ALL the Republican candidates. I think he's "talking straight" and not just trolling for votes by saying what people want to hear.
celewign 4 years ago
I am liberal (on social issues and on national health care wavers provided by the government) and I like Ron Paul (a Republican nominee) as well even though he is conservative. He truly wants to fix the problems we are in. You may want to check him out. I am some of his videos in my favorites. If you are a conservative and like Mike Gravel, then you will love Ron Paul most likely.

I like both Ron Paul and Mike Gravel, and I like what both have to say on several issues. I think both are intellectually and morally superior to their respective competitors.

Ron Paul & Mike Gravel 08 Unity, Honesty... screw the "parties" they didn't invite us to their party
gmfutube 4 years ago
I hope Gravel keeps mentioning direct democracy as well. The truth is that no politician, not even Gravel, is going to be entirely disinterested in his or her own position when he or she is making a decision.
