I'm an older gay man and I was tossed out of the house at 17 by my non religious family (even atheists hated gays back then).

I never had to decide that, I was born a man. So there is nothing to decide in that respect. What a load of tripe. Even if there is an absolute standard of morality, it's not enforced in this lifetime. We determine what is wrong through our own judgment, not by what a book tells us to think.. If intolerance of gay people feels wrong to me (and it does, since I'm gay), then that's all the justification I need to be opposed to it. End of story.
And if intolerance of gay people feels right to some people, you have no justification for opposing it. If all we have is moral preference then there can be no 'right,' or 'wrong' morality, and you lose all argument against anyone with a different moral preference than you.
If you are only saying that you don't like intolerance, that is one thing, but to claim anything is 'wrong' is to borrow from my worldview.
Morality is just a matter of opinion,so yeah there are no real 'rights or wrongs.' Some are argued to be because they're popular opinion. Most of us know what it is like to feel pain, so we can empathise with other people who are suffering. Homosexuality is not a choice,it's simply the way one turns out. If homosexuals are made to suffer, then I feel sorry for them. One way people get labelled with opinion derived adjectives like 'bad' is by treating people with a lack of empathy for their pain.
It's just a case of how vague language is. If you want to be like this, then never refer to a food you like as 'nice,' because that is your opinion. People will use words such as right or wrong for emphasis. Saying, 'I don't like intolerence' sounds pretty weak, so one will say it's 'wrong.' I think intolerence towards homosexuals is fucked up, because there's absolutely no reason for it and I don't like to see the pain it causes.
I wrote another comment and it didn't appear, so I'm sorry if it appears later. I said, if there is one moral absolute, if you want to call it that, then it's the natural instict to survive. Consequently we generally don't want to kill ourselves or harm the species in general. We're all products of this. I don't know if your case is supposed to be in favour of there being a God, because the issue of morality can in no way be used to prove God's existence.
So, what is 'right' then, survival at all costs, survival of the individual, or survival of the species? Is survival more important than justice, or altruism. or aestheics, and how do you know? What if someone happened to prefer death over survival, what makes you right, and them wrong? Moral preference does not make absolutes.
Morality is just a word. All I have argued is what I believe are some of the reasons for human behaviour. I already said that right and wrong are just a matter of opinion, however it is partly influenced by natural instict. Empathy is a feeling, morality is just a word. I can't understand the lack of empathy some people have for others. Your morals are the same as mine,they're opinions formed by what has influenced us and whatever provokes emotion such as empathy.
Animals kill each other, and so do some humans, absent an absolute standard, those actions cannot be wrong. According to YOUR worldview, child molestation cannot even be 'wrong.'
If there is no right or wrong, there can be no 'right,' or 'wrong' empathy either. Why SHOULD anyone even feel empathy for anyone else for that matter?

It is when differing views of what is right and what is wrong collide that human morality evolves. That's how slavery was abolished, the womens rights movement was formed and why homosexuality is more socially accepted than it was previously. The actual argument for legalizing abortion is that outlawing abortion merely drives it back into the back alleys. That leads to maternal deaths in addition to fetal deaths. Some "christians" might argue that the women deserve it for getting pregnant. Fine, DNA matching could identify the male who was ultimately responsible for her death. How about 10 years for involuntary manslaughter for every maternal death to a backstreet abortion? Seems equable to me.

Morality is just a matter of opinion,so yeah there are no real 'rights or wrongs.' Some are argued to be because they're popular opinion. Most of us know what it is like to feel pain, so we can empathise with other people who are suffering. Homosexuality is not a choice,it's simply the way one turns out. It's just a case of how vague language is. If you want to be like this, then never refer to a food you like as 'nice,' because that is your opinion. People will use words such as right or wrong for emphasis. Saying, 'I don't like intolerence' sounds pretty weak, so one will say it's 'wrong.' I think intolerence towards homosexuals is fucked up, because there's absolutely no reason for it and I don't like to see the pain it causes.

It is when differing views of what is right and what is wrong collide that human morality evolves. That's how slavery was abolished, the womens rights movement was formed and why homosexuality is more socially accepted than it was previously. What is right and what is wrong is not set in stone, it is a matter of opinion, and majority opinion can and does change over time. It's that simple.

As I said, it is a matter of opinion, and if the majority share an opinion then they will consider themselves to be right. Just as the minority who disagree will consider themselves to be right. Most of us believe we are right most of the time. This concept should be fairly obvious.

The actual argument for legalizing abortion is that outlawing abortion merely drives it back into the back alleys. That leads to maternal deaths in addition to fetal deaths. Some "christians" might argue that the women deserve it for getting pregnant. Fine, DNA matching could identify the male who was ultimately responsible for her death. How about 10 years for involuntary manslaughter for every maternal death to a backstreet abortion? Seems equable to me.
Good contraception is a better idea.

Congratulations to your attitude! Your words are really true.. I consider your words not only against intolerance against gay people, but against intolerance within societies incommon, not only in the US, but also in my homecountry Germany. As an example I want call racism, which "sleeps" under the surface of, I think, every society.
Unfortunately really intolerant people won`t really listen to this video, but I did several times. In this sense I wish you a nice day!

Those people who say "It's a choice." are absolute morons. Why would anyone choose to make themselves the target of so much hatred, ignorance, and stupidity?
What consenting adults do with each other in the privacy of their own homes is NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.

"It's not something you choose" It still annoys the hell out of me that so many straight people can't accept that! I have a couple of christian friends who believed homosexuality was a bad thing THEN BECAME GAY! They've become so close to me now because they've lived both side sof that and appreciate now that they were wrong, and that it ISN'T a choice! Sometimes I find myself wishing everyone would wake up tomorrow bisexual so this homophobia thing would go away
