I didn't really understand your problem with the HDMI, but when I connected my laptop to add a screen, I changed the HDMI setting to PC Mode. Looks perfect now

@goguletz No it isn't actually. I can read these comments perfectly find and I haven't increased the font size. It's a really crisp clear image and everything fits well and I've been using it for almost 3 years now and it's worked great since I bought it

That blue port on the back I think thats a VGA or D-sub 15 not a DVI.... but maybe Im wrong i thought that DVI was the long one with 2 rows and then like a almost square looking thing on the far left or right

@dezophok No, it won't work as a TV because there is no input for the cable wire.

it has a hdmi input and if you have hd tv, this will work fine.

Any yes it is Widescreen. PC and Xbox will tell you soon as its plugged in. and once you see it you can tell. This video makes it look a little square.

I seen this at best buy and picked it up because it was only 125$. It works great and I like it better than me sony. Only problem is sometimes it wont read the hdmi/vga when I switch it. It may be because I need a new cord.

hey man i need help,kinda. I have this monitor but as I am trying to plug in the HDMI, the support on the back that connects to the base makes me unable to. Any other way to connect or you have some technique to do it? HDMI is too fat

@robertkyle12 I'm not sure what exactly you're asking, but I think you're saying the base is in the way of you plugging in the cable...Just bend the cable and plug in the HDMI cable to the back.

hey thanks for the review man, i am planning to buy one but only the 20". the only problem is that my graphics card is 9500gt and does not have HDMI port.. but i guess the agp/dvi will work just fine for me.

yes, it's widescreen, but the video is squished so its hard to tell, but yes it definitely is widescreen.

Use the line out in the back and plug it into different speakers

but just one question, a lot of people on forums have been saying they aren't impressed with the contrast ratio on hannspree. like 300:1 brightness . but I believe its the same as insignia. And also a lot of people say buying a pc monitor is better if you're into just playing games.

I have had no contrast problems, it works just as good as a tv if not better. The brightness is fine also, in fact I think it can go even too bright.

No, there are no vga inputs, the only inputs are dvi and hdmi so you would have to use an hdmi cord to play your 360 with.

I could record it with my camera, but it isn't going to show how they really look because it will be with a camera. Both the Soul Calibur 4 and the Calling all Cars reviews that I have show the graphics recorded with the camera. If you go to Best Buy you should be able to have them show you something on the screen if you ask.
