From your description you obviously respect the police and your government. This is fine, but please, please learn that there is a difference between what is Legal & what is Lawful.
The police nowadays have two roles. The 1st, to protect you by upholding Common Law. They have sworn an oath to do this. The 2nd is to Enforce Civil Statutes only given the power of Law with your consent which are largely used to generate revenue. These police are only carrying out one of these roles. Guess which?

At least some at Forbes Hall got pepper sprayed, because a group were throwing garbage from Forbes Hall on an ambulance in the street. They got what they deserved.

Listen, there is an INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION going on and therefore security is going to be tight and tensions are going to be high. The cops gave ample opportunity for the dumb ass students to go back to their dorms to study instead of assemble in mass and be a potential threat to the world leaders, the cops, the city, the buildings etc. The students instead chose to be rubberneckers and demonstrate their supposed self righteousness against authority. Those who stayed outside deserved it.
