YOU HAVE VERY BAD FOOT WORK AND BRING THAT HAND BACK WHEN YOU JAB!! .. YOU THROW 3 JABS BUT YOUR HAND STAYS OUT THERE THE WHOLE TIME... YOU GONNA GET ROCKED IF THE OTHER GUY HAS ON BOXING GLOVES TOO...
How long have you been training?? Theres a few little problems, but I'll just say one i dont think anyone else has. You lower your hand nearly every time you jab before you throw the punch, its telegraphing and makes it easier to read. try doing it slower in front of a mirror to help stamp it out
@ezdraelon I'll take your advice and look for this tendency in the mirror. But the truth is, I've not been with a real trainer in a few years (the guy in the video is just someone I've taught how to hold the mitts for me). Also, my background in boxing comes from Muay Thai boxing, so oft times I want to use my legs. These are not excuses and I welcome CONSTRUCTIVE critisism for that's the only way to get better. I haven't done much work since this video, but may get myself to a boxing gym.
keep ur hands up when u throw ur combos, ur hands drop to ur chin. overall ur ok. u should work on pivoting ur body into ur punches ur using alot of arm right now.
just a bit of constructive feedback..i agree with all the balance feedback below but also i recommend your trainer not to stick his hands out so much..tell him to place his mitts to closer to his body for instance when u throw the jab the mitt is way too far away from the trainers face and provides an unrealistic target+set up for the power shot..

Never cross your feet weather in range or not. Feet movement should always remain the same.. Your out of range but If he would had came at you hard. Your hands are really good.I wasn't trying to disrespect you... Please put up more video and I will give you my point of veiw. If it is correct form, I will tell you the truth. If it goes against anything I have ever learned in my days or taught my fighters then i will be true... I have been coaching boxers for over 25 year.
Thanks for the critique, it's welcomed. However, I think I only cross my feet when I'm well out of range. When he's pressing me and close, I'm typically moving the way you should, no? I'll try and put up a sparring session sometime so people can give better feedback on it.
I disagree slightly. I wouldn't use focus mitts to TEACH boxing. Instead, I use it to refine technique and drill.

Your feet work is bad... Your crossing your legs. Other then that you have good hands. Keep training and work on your foot movement

@ravenclaw67 You're doing a good job, when ur out of range you can do whatever u want to do, as long as ur alert and awake lol.
