  • OMG... Ricky Gervais grew a beard!

  • I guess the question is then: How does one create chewing gum that lasts more than a few mins of flavor

  • Whats this? 1080p? 0 dislikes? I'm in the right place.

  • But does chewing gum lose its flavor on the bedpost overnight?

  • 2:51 HAHAHA omg.

  • smelloscope anyone?

  • Would food taste better if we chewed "mouth open"? Particles can travel out mouth and up nose during regular breathing.

  • Gum is illegal in Singapore!

    I hate gum myself.

  • What about sugarfree chewing gum? I'd like to know how that differs.

  • Yeah, my left nostril doesn't work at all, and i am only 14 years old...

  • @Timurv1234 that happens man, id never been able to breathe through both nostrils, either the right or left is consistently blocked. i think it is common in a few cases, i think... dont quote me on that.

  • @teequlah Yeah, but i can breathe through both, but i can smell only through the right one...constantly....

  • Funny apparatus!

  • Argh, please don't give the impression that is acceptable to stick chewing gum underneath a table!

  • What about sugar free gum?!

Also no wonder why food isnt that great when Im sick ):

  • How does sugar free gum work?

  • @Tehtog the same way just with aspartame or saccarine instead of sugar

  • @grnlfe01 Please stay clear of sugar free gum & all foods and drinks labeled Diet, Low Sugar, Sugar free, containing Aspartime, Artificial sweetener, 0 calories etc...

These are marketing names for Aspartime, & Aspartime is poisonous.

In studies it is proven to cause irreparable damage to neurons, highly suspected to contribute to Alzheimer Disease & Dementia.

The FDA "criminally" authorized Aspartime for use in the softdrink industry in the 50s or 60s while ignoring clinical trials...

  • @trespire I'm well aware of the health risks of aspartame. Its one of the reasons I don't generally chew gum. I was just answering tehtog's question.

  • @trespire You might want to consider backing up your claims.

You should watch C0nc0rdance's video "Artificial Sweeteners". Don't contaminate peoples minds with your own opinions or thoughts. You mention Aspartame (you can't even spell it correctly), probably the most studied sweetener there is - yep, it's considered safe.

So either you stop being shallow minded and look at the science, or just stay scared of things you don't understand. I give you this chance to make it right. Your choice.

  • @pierreaupeix Thanks for your advise with regards to backing up my claims.Usually I don't write comments of this nature, however I truly believe we are all being made utter fools of.

I kindly invite you to make your own unbiased online quick investigation, using good common sense, taking a critical point of view of the information presented & the interested parties presenting it.

  • @grnlfe01 ...cont. and under pressure from the food industry. Aspartime is a white powder extracted from the feces of genetically modified bacteria. It is not a natural substance, so the body doesn't know how to get rid of it, there for it can accumulate in out tissues.

I apologize if I sound alarmist, but this "scam" of selling a poison labeled & marketed as healthy for us really ikes me.

Stick with nature, personally I'll prefer loss of denture to Dementia, teeth can be substituted.

  • Thanks for the upload. Always fun to watch foodskey videos.

  • Very cool! Sounds like the machine is loud. Could anyone else hear the scientist's voice pushing the noise floor down? (audio compression)

  • Its Ricky Gervais when he gets older.

  • holy crap, I found him!!! nytts.org/nytts/photos/heinrich-macroclemys.jpg

  • Ricky Gervais's long lost brother?

  • He is a biker obviously.

  • must be in the job requirements for a male food scientist to have a beard

  • The hoses should be more flexible and with one tube per nostril. You would get more accurate results.

  • I thought he was going to tell us what chewing gums are made off, and yeah its made out of rubber.

  • That guy looks like an older Ricky Gervais with an awesome beard

  • ...a good signal or a bat signal?

  • That is pretty awesome, a machine that sucks tastes out of your nose and records them. :O

  • I didn't know a mass spec could be used this way, really cool. :)

  • This guy is awesome but 2:52- Holy shit!

  • House bricks. Nice to see they are still a valuable piece of high-tech lab equipment.
