She could be a great character but the writers have given her nothing.

She should have been Dean's girlfriend, someone he could depend on apart from Sam make his soft side show even more.

Completely Agree about Anna. I think the writers just went too quickly into her story. It was rushed and so I didn't really feel much for her character. I hope if she is in the next season, they hash out her character a bit more.
