@adonelahi Couldn't agree more, unfortunately it doesn't seem possible since the movie was schedule to be in theater by summer 2005 and now we are about 6 years later, it is very unfortunate indeed + just by that small clip of a trailer you just know it would have been a masterpiece transforming countless lives just as the Gospel of John did...
@JCYTT1I3777 You said it, it would have been awesome. That is a shame... If this company doesn't continue in Bible movies I sure hope Mel Gibson does...
Is it true that the film will come??I´ve read that no, that this video was made with images from "The Gospel of John" and other files! Help!I want to know it!
I want to have my onw dvd on this production as soon it comes to sell.... This will be a faithful chapter by chapter and verse by verse of the bible writtens. my name jorge castillo
Mark was actually Peters translator. the gospel of mark is actually the gospel of peter, according to Papias of Hieropolis. "For he (Mark) never heard the Lord nor accompanied Him. But afterwards, as I said, he accompanied Peter, who accomodated his instructions to the necessities of his hearers, but with no intention of giving a regular narrative of the Lords sayings." thus, the gospel according to Mark should be the favored book of the catholic church. the end. (the GNT is my favorite.)
@allrza hmmm not necessarily that is tradition which to most biblical scholars and me is extremely unlikely that Mark receive the story from Peter & if it was the case the Gospel would be attributed to Peter not Mark…
@allrza Many letters were dictated to a scribe but nevertheless the author remains the dictator not the scribe but that is not the case with Mark’s Gospel + in Mark’s Gospel only we see some geographic mistakes in the story meaning the author was most likely not a eyewitness nor receive the story from Peter but most likely by oral tradition perhaps bids from Peter and other eyewitness than he merged all the information together and wrote the Gospel…
@allrza but I agree it is the first Gospel ever written + Matthew’s & Luke’s gospel borrowed heavily from Mark so every Christians gives huge credits to Mark’s gospel who also inspired two other Gospels to flourish without his Gospel we will never know how or if the Christian movement would have expanded to the ends of the earth.
@JCYTT1I3777 i gave documentation for my views. perhaps your views are the ones that are just fantasies in the wind! at least i backed up my point with writing from an ancient bishop! you agree with me that it was the first gospel written? when did i say that? you dont agree with me at all. dont say you do. (since these words were typed on a keyboard, the tone is not set at all. i want to assure you that i am being fun and kind-hearted with this, not vile and full of hatred. peace.)
@allrza So I guess you are a Catholic but I am not but we are both Christians. With all do respect that is one of the difference between you & me you said you back up your views with an ancient bishop sorry but for me that doesn’t mean anything to me ,I only quote the Bible no one else since no else as any relevant authority for me & also for many other Christians
@JCYTT1I3777 Mark was not one of the 12 disciples, therefore when an ancient bishop who spoke with the people close to the disciples and to the disciples themselves concerning matters of the early church, his writings do hold a significant relevance. would i say Papias' writings are scripture? of course not. but was mark there for all the events he discusses? no. so there is a good chance that he not only learned those things directly from peter, but also accompanied him as an interpreter.
@allrza *scripture. scripture. (im writing this word multiple times because i posted "*SCRIPTURE" in my edit, and it still came up "ure". scripture. scripture. scripture. scripture. s-c-r-i-p-t-u-r-e! (im not nuts. thanks.)
@allrza When you read Mark's Gospel as well as Matthew's & Luke's all 3 were composed by a collection of sayings, teachings, miracles stories received by oral traditions perhaps bids from Peter and other eyewitnesses but not by a single eyewitness like Peter or someone else in contrast John's Gospel which is extremely different both in content, details and theological perspectives is far more likely to be the story from a single eyewitness... anywho what matters is that we follow the Gospel !
@allrza That is why even if I am an agreement with the majority of modern biblical scholars on this one I will never quote them to back up my views but please as brother & sister in Christ investigate my claims and views... they are far from just fantasies in the wind I could assure that…I respect your views & hope you’ll respect mine… peace!
@JCYTT1I3777 lets let Papias defend himself. here is a remaining quote from one of his fragments. "...for i did not take pleasure as the many do in those who speak much, but in those who teach what is true...if any follower of the Presbyters happened to come, i would inquire for the sayings of andrew, peter, philip, thomas, james, john or matthew... For i considered that i should not get so much advantage from books as from the voice which yet lives and remains."
@allrza Concerning the so called “agreement” it has nothing to do with the first Gospel ever written but I agree with you that this Gospel should be given higher credit (not necessarily favored) that many Christians omit because that Gospel is the shortest and less detailed that is why I kept going by saying The Gospel of Mark is the first ever written which both Matthew’s & Luke’s Gospel alike were inspired by & that explains why both of the 2 Gospels are more detailed & longer. Peace !
@JCYTT1I3777 my pursuit in this is souly intellectual. if my view on the book of mark is inaccurate, i would like to know any and all relevant arguments to disprove me. the gospel of mark is attributed to mark because he wrote it. Papias spoke directly with people who knew the apostles, therefore his writings have much higher relevance than people give him credit. im actually not a catholic, but i see why you would think that, they do get over zealous about people of position.
I was wanting to get some knowledge on the release of "The Gospel Of Mark" and am very inquisitive of the status of the release, considering how great The Gospel of John was. Any information at all will be very appreciated, Thank you so much for your time!
Is there anyone I can get in contact with involved with making this video that you are aware of? I really want this to come out and bless folks like myself as did the Gospel of John.

Hello All: Has anyone received an update on the Gospel of Mark movie yet????? I know (based on the comments) that something was going to happen maybe in 2009 2010, but are they in any kind of production. Perhaps the actors may know who played the roles in Gospel of John. Just really looking forward to it. I love watching the trailer, but I pray Lord you bless us all to see this movie come to fruitation in Christ Jesus Name..amen.
Please let me know when this movie come out - I can't wait to see it. I loved the Gospel of John as it was potrayed so faithfully. I thought this film was suppose to be out already.

Scratch that last comment. Turns out the DVD at Lifeway Christian Bookstore is NOT "the Gospel of Mark," but rather "Mark's Gospel" - a one-man stand up recital of Mark's Gospel. There was a miscommunication when I called them, & asked about it. At this time, they, not I, know when the Gospel of Mark will be out. In fact, I don't know if it's even been started to be made yet. I guess we just keep on praying. Sorry for the confusion.
The Gospel of John was soooo awesome!!! I was greatly sadden (sp?) to hear that the Gospel of Mark was never finished ='[

" Many many thanks for your enquiry about The Gospel of Mark.
Regrettably we haven't as yet been able to put it together.
Sorry to disappoint........Maybe next year?
Meanwhile I wish you and all your youtube-rs well over Thanksgiving.
