there's a difference between satanists and freemasons. satanists worship the devil thinking he's evil and masons see the devil and not Jesus as the messiah.

They're definately following some sort of timeline. That is why they chose this time. I don't know, Age of aquarius. In the first part towards the end even Bush says, "an ancient hope for a new order of the ages." We have to remember that these people know more about history than we do. I'm not sure how many books are in the vatican library, but I have no doubt some are kept secret.
