Wow, this is amazing. I have never joined yarn before, but am completing a baby blanket for my cousin that is requiring 3 skeins of yarn. I am just about down to the end of the first skein and was getting nervous about joining. This seems to be an excellent method, and I will be trying it with my sport weight yarn!
@LRF965 I have done it with fingerling and slippery cotton yarn, but, I think the only way to know is to try it on a scrap piece of the yarn in question. Hope it works for you
@Momo3Reds That join saved my life this morning while making a pair of mittens I found a knot in the yarn and of course it couldn't be on the top of the hand... nope it was on the palm where it would show. Did my braid and knitted away. When the mitten was finished I couldn't find the repair till I flipped it inside out and there were my little tails. :))
Thank you everyone... your kind comments are appreciated :))

@SuperLottie99 Yes absolutely,,,, I use it even on cotton yarn. Any yarn that has 2 or more ply's so you can split the strands.

Brilliant! Thank you! Am furiously knitting fingerless gloves for a requested gift and panicked when I came across the knot.
