  • I was there in 1974 ... still a fondest memory!

  • and then bunch of indians walk by and are like wtf white people?!

  • What are the name of the songs in the video? They make the video relaxing to watch.

  • @snip4uumc Can a 7 year old hike to Havasupai? That all depends on the 7 year old. It is 10 miles downhill. The child should be able to walk for an hour without stopping. It also depends on the time of year. It can get over 100 F down there. I went a year ago at the end of April and it was snowing at the trail head when we started and 1/2 hour after we go out.

  • I made the trip when I was 14, when I was 17 my friends and I just took a helicopter in hahaha. So much better

  • One tip if you're planning this hike - no need to carry a lot of food. There are several places to eat in the village. The extra weight in my backpack really slowed me down, and carrying it was completely unnecessary. I'd love to go back - may plan a trip and take my 11-yr old daughter. Be sure to book well in advance as there is usually a waiting list. Namaste!!

  • @HardyHeaven you have to book this trip? i was thinking of just running it with a few friends. how much is it to go with the guides? and where do i book it

  • Thanks for the memories. I did this hike in May, 1991, when I was 28 yrs old, and it was wonderful! The water was freezing cold but I couldn't resist getting in. The hike took us about 6 hours but we stopped several times, did sack lunch, etc. I was so sore by the time we got into Supai Village that I could barely walk the addt'l 1, 2 and 3 miles to each respective falls over the next few days. I was still hurting when it was time to hike out but by the time we got back to the rim I was fine!

  • Great video work! This is wonderful!

  • my dad told me he hiked out here but like ran out of water and food on the way back. and almost died. im glad he made it. he said something about trying to drink water then it being rejected and throwing it back up O.o

  • I'm 41 and we hiked to the campground on the first day (10 miles), the Colorado River and back (16 mile round trip) on day two, rested on day three, and hiked out on day four. It took less than 4 hours for us to hike out. We carried all our own food and camping gear in and back out. This was at the end of April so heat was not an issue. My hiking partner is 26.

    Nice video!

  • @86mks hi,do u think taking 7yrs is bad idea??

  • So if you are over 40 this is not an easy hike at all???? But it looks so beautiful hard to resist going down to the base..

  • Nice photos. FYI, it is not the Navajo Reservation. It is on Supai Tribal land.

  • Did you get a sunburn in your tank top? How hot was it that day?

  • It is a heaven on earth! The water is irresistible!

  • how long was the hike? i heard it was about 10 miles but walking time? please answer bak asap thanks!!!

  • The honest answer is "it depends." Just figure that it probably takes 50% longer to walk the 10 (12 with switchbacks) miles through the canyon as it would to walk that far in your own neighborhood.

It took me about 4-5 hours when I was 16 and in shape.

  • is the water cold or warm?

  • great video, such a beautiful place we live in! Thaks 4 shareing

  • whats the song?
