It really helped, thanks a lot. I have one questions, I could not Place the Banner (Custom code) on on right corner on the top banner, the position option just has top, does not have top-right. please advise..
@atozsan Thanks for your question. 'Positions' relate to your template. Depending on your template these positions and names of them will often times change. My best guess is that is why you don't 'see' this.
@sandrenko27 - Thanks for the question. You can upload them into your media manager, but the banner rotator module in this video is reading out of a specific folder. You'll want to place your images there, then they will show up in the drop down as an optional picture to use. You may also want to adjust your global settings and the path to your media manager folder.
Hi, I´ve followed your steps and managed to get some banners on my site, but I still got some question. Somehow my Joomla does not show .swf banners if they´re not in the code, but simply loaded from the ftp. Do you know why this is? And also tried to rotate banners following your steps, but they don´t. I´ve put two banners in the same category, but the second one doesn´t show. But when I create a module for the the second one, it shows both of them, one above each other. Can you help me please?
@umcacpepa - .swf files need to be surrounded by object or embed code. The banner rotator is per page load. Also, make sure that none of the banner are to 'sticky'. Finally in the banner module set to show randomized, and only to display 1 - or else you'll get the doubling effect you see. Hope this answers your or helps. @nicholas21521 - Other than the banner rotators that comes freely with Joomla a high end solution that is also open source is OpenX - although much - much more involved.
@stepinoutwithstyle - It's best to look at it like "content" whether it is in the form of advertisement or not. The "banner" rotator will simply rotate whatever content you give it.
