  • Great sound on the recent show vids. Thanks for posting.

  • I almost don't know which sounds better: Derek's slide or Oteil's playing.

  • sheesh...Trucks made me nearly faint.

  • Simply Great.... Duane and DIckey were original and wrote the songs but these guy's are better musicians .... Thanks Crow

  • The sound quality on this is amazing.

  • People Come on!! I hear this Duane Allman arguement all the Time!! you're right they they should just stop....stop makeing this amaizing music, keeping the spirit alive, stop touring, and giving us the chance to see the INCREDIBLE musicians playing some of the BEST MUSIC EVER MADE.... Although he is my favorite guitarist, duanes dead man. and they are keeping his spirit ALIVE through his music..CAN"T ANYONE be Happy!!! ENJOY it MAN!!!

  • nice organ

  • nice live version

  • I understand the nostalgia and wanting to remember Duane and all that, but the present duo is better than Duane and Dickey ever were. I love the originals too, but these guys transcend that. Especially Derek. He really is a genius. The best rock guitarist I have ever heard. Better than Duane or Clapton or Hendrix or anyone.

  • you know ... when you cook the allman jelly-jelly down to the essential base , you're left with the essence of it all... the INCOMPERABLE , ONE-AND-ONLY -- GREGG ALLMAN

  • Thanks for sharing! These guys are the true definition of a "band". these guys can play!

  • Yeah baby!!! Only 17 days until the NYC run starts!!!!!!! Going to the first three nights...almost can't contain myself

  • super cool number

  • I get a kick out of all these "opinions".... It's always the guys that have the attitude of this one is better than that one probably DON'T PLAY at all..

anyone with a true love of musicianship just listens, enjoys, and keeps the music Alive by not being so damn judgemental. My 2 cents..

  • @sfvwillie777 tell it like it is cousin... duane would have loved derek trucks and

what he's representing : which is duane allman's style reincarnated w/ a twist.

  • Little confused here. When you are a musician of the caliber of these people, including Duane and Dickey, let's not forget Barry or Warren or Derek or Oteil... when you are of this caliber there is no "BETTER" there is only "DIFFERENT".

  • Way great vid thx 4 posting

  • amazing Derek Trucks !

    really exciting !

also Oteil Burbridge,on bass, is my recent favorite !!

  • This is so ridiculously good. I'm so jealous of Derek Trucks. haha

  • who cares how they look... they can still play!! I'm sure your Mom taught you not to judge a book by it's cover??

  • Stop drinking your bath water! Except for Greggs occasional hep. c problems they are as tight as ever. Derek and Warren more than make up for Duane and Dickey. I've seen both line-ups many times and I'll take this one any day!! I saw Dickey solo last year and the high cost of low living has caught up with him for sure!

  • Oh, I'm sure Dickey's in bad shape. No doubt about that. But I think you're sniffing your armpits too much if you really mean that the Derek/Warren lineup more than makes up for Duane and Dickey. Warren's great, but let's be real here!

  • Thank You! Why do these armchair, garage band critics have to constantly compare them. Greg, Duane, Butch, Barry and Jai Johnny set the stage for Derek and Warren! If it weren't for them, there would be no Derek and Warren! Yes, they were/ are destined to be rockers even it it weren't for the Allman Bros., but people need to stop, shut up, and enjoy the band for the music they've given past and present! Right or wrong?

  • c'mon bro in no way do warren and derek make up for skydog and dickey.you need to think before you type.and absolutely no disrespect to warren ans derek they both have skills but not like duane and dickey and what about berry that dude played his bass like a guitar just like phil lesh plays his bass now phil plays like he invented the bass but berry was no slouch

  • they werent what they were with duane, but their a hell of alot better than they have been in years past

  • Fuckin troll.

  • Derek Trucks has redefined blues guitar playing yet again in a post-Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan world.

  • Nicely put. Your comment made me laugh because its written in a very academic way... Nietzsche has redefined the concept of the will yet again in a post-Aristotelian world.

  • Wow. Lost ABB for a while. Man, these guys are stunning. Almost reverential. Warren and Derek have the spirit.

  • seein em on aug 16th, cant f'n wait

  • it almost comes to a point to where it is just showin off!!1 My cross to bear !!

  • cross to bear and stormy monday, the best of the Allman Brothers. Thanks for posting jcrow

  • When they talk about Great American bands they have to include The Allman Brothers!

  • Chuck is that you? Wanee bound for the fourth year in a row!

  • thank you for this fantastic video. I was probably standing 30-40 feet to your left. God bless Wanee and the Allman Brothers Band! I'll never miss it.

  • Thanks Jcrow ! I had over-indulged earlier that day, and I was in a beer-induced coma while this show was going on . Trucks left the next day to play with Clapton . However , I did catch them with Jack Pearson . I'm headin' to Wanee again this year . See you there .

  • Thanks for the vid jcrow. Do have footage of their cover of "Anyday"? It's from the same weekend, but I wouldn't be able to say which day.

  • It's Part 5. Thanks for the comment!

  • great vid man... i got a little clip of the solo at the jazzfest... yours is better though, full songs!

  • Sorry bros, but this is inferior...compared to the original. As good as the replacements are - it's just not the same w/o Duane, Dickie, and JJJ!

  • It's not the same, no- but I think it's the best lineup since the original. Did you watch more than just part one?

  • i couldn't agree more, but i don think this isn't as good as when they were at jazzfest

  • i mean "this is as good as when they were at jazzfest"

  • @CEBREESE ?? this is great.!!

because its "not the same" does not make it "inferior".

    what are you not hearing?¿

    rock on

with ya stuck back in the day self..;)

  • @CEBREESE Yes, my response is a liiittle tardy, but .. I beg to differ: Warren and Derek are 2 of the world's finest guitarists, and frankly, sorry I do believe Dicky and Duane, though great guitarists, are no match for these 2 guys. Dick and Duane have the 'advantage' of being among the living no more, and dead artists are always considered superior because of their legacy. Heck, Elvis made more money dead than alive. Just my point of view, take no offense. ABB = Fantastic band, all these years
