These guitars are amazing. I played one, the sucker was loud acoustically (sign of a great, resonant guitar), had great pickups and a killer neck. I would only change the black pickguard to a 1 ply white (as seen in the video) because it doesn't match the beautiful translucent blonde finish at all.
WOW! I'm really impressed ... for example 1:15 ... GREAT! Man, you belong to a large stage! And I love that Classic Vibe Series too! Cheers from Austria! Thanks!
What's the quick lick AFTER "Lover's Jamboree" at 34 sec's when you change the pickup position?? I've heard a few guy's playing that, but can't figure out what it is.
@ParkourKaze The general consensus I get from people is that the Classic Vibe series are much higher quality than the standard Squier models. Obviously there is a price difference, however its something like £40 which I would say is worth spending.
Hey man i have just got me CV and was wondering where you got youre white pickguard becuase i am struglling to find one anywhere with the 5 screw holes as aposed to 8
hey guyz help me out pls! i wanna buy this guitar but it's body is made from pine tree and a good guitarist told me that i have to stay away from guitars with pine tree it will get worse in years. and since this is gonna be my first tele i wanna keep it forever so some1 using this baby for some time can give me some advices? since he told me that i started looking at squier tele custom :/
@imasneniraas Hey there. I have a question: where did you find a white pickguard for your tele classic? I want to get one so if you can give me a link or number where you ordered yours, I'd appreciate it!
big difference. pick them up and you can tell automatically. the affinity body is like maybe 1/4 inch thinner. the classic vibe feels like a real guitar. great neck. really good fret work and decent pickups.
it depends what ur into. if u want somthing really stable with a twangy country sound that can also hadle metal/hardcore/indie etc. id go for the tele. if u want something really versitile with a tremolo then go for the strat..
if ur trying to get a norma jean/he is legend thing go'n then get any standard tele. if u want something heavy then the jim root signature would be the way to go
This is a great beginners guitar! It doesn't have a whammy bar so it stays in tune perfectly. It's also easy to play and the sound with stock pickups is really good for even hard rock. I've played gigs with it and it is a professional grade guitar :-)
Agree with you on the quality, I've had at one time or another a 60's, 70's and 80's tele, for what I must of paid for those back in the day, this thing is true bang for the buck !
Well do like Les Paul did... cut some sides off and acoustic and glue them on the 4x4. Call it an Epiphone. Then maybe you'll develop a famous guitar model. :)
I bought this guitar today with a 15 amp Vox. Neck and action are perfect-
Plays great. I also tried a PRS singlecut that had alot more grunt, but not anywhere near the same clarity on the lower strings. Maybe just that particular guitar.Go figure-
Played several American and Mexican Fenders while deciding and kept coming back to this one. Fret edges are unfinished, but for $150, you can't go wrong.
these guitars are amazing, i've been wanting one for a couple months but didnt want to order online without playing one, the local shop got one in and i played it a few minutes and had to have it. its a beauty. the neck is super comfortable, it stays in tune really good. i didnt have to change action, intonation or anything else. the only complaint is neck pup is not as defined as i would like it to be but thats a cheap enough fix.
i'll have to try that. theres no screws to lift it on the pickguard so they must be under it. for the price theyre hard to beart especially sincer is raising some of their prices now. mim strats are 550 now! wtf
You know, I have played many Squier teles, Mexicans, and many Americans. I have never played a better feeling guitar. It is definately better than any mexican standard tele I have played by far.
i have a similiar question like Thoragz. i have a mexican tele but i like the classic vibe like yours and you might say its all what i like but my question to you is. would i be happy if got the classic vibe and got rid of my mex tele. p.s. im not liking the mex tele to much these days one of the pickups fried and im not happy now that its been worked on it sounds different to me
Go to a music store and try out the Squier Tele, I've had the MIM Tele, And sold it, This by far a better Tele, In my opinion, I can't stop playing it, And, I have Guitars worth 10 times more, It's up there with them.
I really like the white guard on this thing. It makes the color look more blonde whereas the black guard makes the finish appear more white. I've got one of these on order and if they are as good as their supposed to be, I may end up getting two or three of them as a platform for refinishes, upgrades and other mods. LOVE the Twang Kings in the other video by the way. Thanks for posting!
That's a 1-ply guard from a Fender 50's Classic. Any Fender sized pickguard fits, this guitar IS a Fender. I put the original thick black guard on after this video, see the DiMarzio version!
VOX AC30 CC2X, blue speakers. Marshall Guv'nor booster. Check my other Classic Vibe Tele clip with a VOX Big Ben booster and DiMarzio Twang King bridge pup! Sounds so much better!!!
I actually found the compensated saddles by wilkinson to not be that great for getting perfect intonation. I could actually get just as good intonation with the standard saddles that came on my classic vibe.
Finally, it's nice to hear some distortion! Don't get me wrong, I'm no metalhead, but all the tele videos out there are people playing clean, and they basically all sound the same. Also, I like the new Squier guitars. Many of them have maple fretboards, which is rare in that price range.
I'm considering buying a new guitar and can't decide whether to buy Squier Duo-sonic or this Telecaster. It looks very nice with that white pickguard, though, so I think I'll go for it. Is that pickguard a genuine Fender part or did zou get it someplace else? And thanks for the post, great playing
Thank you! I'm still considering my options, but I'm thinking about putting a P-90 in the neck position (never liked the tone of the regular tele neck pickup.
what switch is that you are using there ?

which is best the 50s vibe, the 60s vibe....strat or tele?
exactaman2003 2 years ago
Got One yesterday. I have an American delux strat it`s a hard act to follow and the benchmark for quality in a fender, but this
thing is great..Build quality is very good it feels good, plays well and looks fantastic.
An absolute bargain at £ 250.00.
Played through my fender supersonic it sounds as good as anything at three times the money. What to buy next ? Mmmmmm.....!

wa0000 2 years ago
This is probably a stupid question but is it possible to put a normal whammy bar to one of those guitars. Does anyone know?
Miika153 2 years ago
You'd have to rout a vibrato bridge cavity, and the way the bridge pickup is mounted doesn't allow for that I'm afraid...
camel747 2 years ago
Well thanks for the reply anyway. I already ordered that guitar yesterday and thought maybe I don't need one!
Miika153 2 years ago
You don't need one? Dude, everyone needs more guitars:) Besides, the classic vibe series are of amazing quality.
camel747 2 years ago 9
Heh I meant that maybe I don't need a whammy bar. I have a cheap strat copy which has one.
Yeah, I ordered a classic vibe telecaster, because everyone thinks they're great. Practically every review I have read has been a positive one.
Miika153 2 years ago
they make bigsby vibrato for telecasters. No cavity or anything. Not really a Whammy bar more a of a slight vintage type vibrato.

Hi, what kind of neck does the GUITAR has, a Soft V neck, a C neck, a big C neck, just a D plain neck???
richon2001 3 years ago
A C neck, quite comfortable with medium jumbo frets and bigger radius. I like the bigger neck of my Fender 50's Classic much better, though.
imasneniraas 3 years ago
so, this neck would be smaller than my other guitar (HW-1 Telecaster)

That's a 1-ply guard from a Fender 50's Classic. Any Fender sized pickguard fits, this guitar IS a Fender. I put the original thick black guard on after this video, see the DiMarzio version!

beatlegretsch 3 years ago
No, but installing compensated brass saddles helps getting perfect intonation.

Two holes for the pickups. You can put a humbucker to the neck, it will fit...
anghelyi 3 years ago
Thank you! I'm still considering my options, but I'm thinking about putting a P-90 in the neck position (never liked the tone of the regular tele neck pickup.
raizumichin 3 years ago
I'm not sure, that a P90 will fit because that is wider than a humbucker. Maybe a humbucker sized P90?
anghelyi 3 years ago
Are the P-90's wider than a humbucker? I've always been under the impression that they're slightly smaller all around...
raizumichin 3 years ago
Not wider but "longer". A regular P90 wouldn`t fit in a regular humbucker routing without further modifing of the routing.
