  • what switch is that you are using there ?

  • This is affinity , not classic vibe !

  • Great playing, I like it!

I might buy the same guitar now. Does it stays in tune? I bend strings quite a bit and plan to use it on stage. Would you recommend that guitar?

  • is the CV worth the money or should i buy a mexican instead?

  • I see you have a lovely firebird behind you

  • do you think this guitar would be good for doing gigs?

  • These guitars are amazing. I played one, the sucker was loud acoustically (sign of a great, resonant guitar), had great pickups and a killer neck. I would only change the black pickguard to a 1 ply white (as seen in the video) because it doesn't match the beautiful translucent blonde finish at all.

  • Not Bad ??? lol

This is the best tone in youtube so far

  • geeez I would give my right arm for your chops

  • @yellofury

You'd only have your left arm left, so what's the point in that ;-)

  • @imasneniraas Lolol...

    Dm

  • man you should work for fender i'm buying one just because of this video

  • WOW! I'm really impressed ... for example 1:15 ... GREAT! Man, you belong to a large stage! And I love that Classic Vibe Series too! Cheers from Austria! Thanks!

  • What's the quick lick AFTER "Lover's Jamboree" at 34 sec's when you change the pickup position?? I've heard a few guy's playing that, but can't figure out what it is.

  • i love that sound!

  • it's eric clapton!! haha

  • @ParkourKaze The general consensus I get from people is that the Classic Vibe series are much higher quality than the standard Squier models. Obviously there is a price difference, however its something like £40 which I would say is worth spending.

  • Can u give me the Lovers Jamboree tab's or guitar pro? :)

  • Hey man i have just got me CV and was wondering where you got youre white pickguard becuase i am struglling to find one anywhere with the 5 screw holes as aposed to 8

  • How did you go about getting the pickguard changed and how much did it cost?

    Great playing :)

  • hey guyz help me out pls! i wanna buy this guitar but it's body is made from pine tree and a good guitarist told me that i have to stay away from guitars with pine tree it will get worse in years. and since this is gonna be my first tele i wanna keep it forever so some1 using this baby for some time can give me some advices? since he told me that i started looking at squier tele custom :/

  • @tehboygktg I think it will be fine if you take care of it. For the price even if after a few years it isn't so great you could easily replace :)

  • perfect tone

  • nice medley , nice tone.

If it works for you ,It'll be more than enough for me.I'm buying one tomorrow

  • great playing m8! :)

  • which is best the 50s vibe, the 60s vibe....strat or tele?

  • Got One yesterday. I have an American delux strat it`s a hard act to follow and the benchmark for quality in a fender, but this

thing is great..Build quality is very good it feels good, plays well and looks fantastic.

An absolute bargain at £ 250.00.

Played through my fender supersonic it sounds as good as anything at three times the money. What to buy next ? Mmmmmm.....!

  • Classic Vibe 60s strat or this?

  • Very nice playing too!

  • This is probably a stupid question but is it possible to put a normal whammy bar to one of those guitars. Does anyone know?

  • You'd have to rout a vibrato bridge cavity, and the way the bridge pickup is mounted doesn't allow for that I'm afraid...

  • Well thanks for the reply anyway. I already ordered that guitar yesterday and thought maybe I don't need one!

  • You don't need one? Dude, everyone needs more guitars:) Besides, the classic vibe series are of amazing quality.

  • Heh I meant that maybe I don't need a whammy bar. I have a cheap strat copy which has one.

Yeah, I ordered a classic vibe telecaster, because everyone thinks they're great. Practically every review I have read has been a positive one.

  • they make bigsby vibrato for telecasters. No cavity or anything. Not really a Whammy bar more a of a slight vintage type vibrato.

  • wat pedal did he use???

  • marshall guv'nor overdrive

  • Thanks, the sound comes also from a VOX AC30. It's a great amp that makes every guitar sound good.

  • @imasneniraas tele with an AC30, its a winning combination.

  • wat does he say in the end oh behan chod right??

  • very nice with the wihite pickguard

  • Nick Lowe's Lovers Jamboree. Also recorded by my band Rock-Ola & The Freewheelers.

  • @imasneniraas Hey there. I have a question: where did you find a white pickguard for your tele classic? I want to get one so if you can give me a link or number where you ordered yours, I'd appreciate it!

    Have a great day!

  • its a good guitar,n' the great player

  • i got one i bought it yesterday and it rocks!!

  • got to say thats some nice playin too:)

  • squir bullet is inexpensive?? i am begginer and squier bullet in Portugal is 115 €

    is a good guitar?

  • no :(

  • Can any one tell me if its a really big diference between squier afinitty telecaster and squier classic vibe 50's tele ?

  • yes, big quality and sound difference. get the 50s tele

  • big difference. pick them up and you can tell automatically. the affinity body is like maybe 1/4 inch thinner. the classic vibe feels like a real guitar. great neck. really good fret work and decent pickups.

  • better wood, better pick-ups, better manufacturing quality, overall better guitar

  • i want buy one fender squier but i am indecise stratocaster or telecaster?? who is better??

  • this telecaster

  • it depends what ur into. if u want somthing really stable with a twangy country sound that can also hadle metal/hardcore/indie etc. id go for the tele. if u want something really versitile with a tremolo then go for the strat..

  • i really like the teles and im into metalcore, hardcore and pop rock. what telecaster wuld b a good choice 4 me?

  • if ur trying to get a norma jean/he is legend thing go'n then get any standard tele. if u want something heavy then the jim root signature would be the way to go

  • The Squier Tele Custom, Tele Custom II, or the John 5 Tele would work great for those styles of music

  • i just tried both of them out today actually and the telecaster is by far the better choice.

  • Im in the same position, I only have the money for one and can't get the other for a long time

  • how much did u get it for? cos the ones i look at getting are all around $700 aus

  • I paid $680 AUD for mine half way between the gold coast and brissy. Got a free strap and lead thrown in too.

  • I love when somebody is showing the guitar on YT and know how to play on it ;) This Squier is great and you proove it!

  • Dude, that is some advanced right-hand technique you have going there.

Good sounding guitar too. Didn't you like the black pickguard?

  • Is this an all round guitar??this is gonna my first guitar and i wanna play everything from metal to rock??

  • This is a great beginners guitar! It doesn't have a whammy bar so it stays in tune perfectly. It's also easy to play and the sound with stock pickups is really good for even hard rock. I've played gigs with it and it is a professional grade guitar :-)

  • Wow thanks,now i cant wait!!!

  • Agree with you on the quality, I've had at one time or another a 60's, 70's and 80's tele, for what I must of paid for those back in the day, this thing is true bang for the buck !

  • nice job !

-just curious,is yours a lighter or heavier one? i have one coming, and hope it isn't much above 8lbs .

  • Mine is a light one, only 7lbs!

  • I bet you could play a 4x4 with strings on it and it would sound good.

  • Thanks, but I already tried and it didn't sound that good :-)

  • Well do like Les Paul did... cut some sides off and acoustic and glue them on the 4x4. Call it an Epiphone. Then maybe you'll develop a famous guitar model. :)

  • good chops. how does the neck profile compare to a '52 reissue?

  • It's thinner and flatter. I like a '52 ri neck better.

  • I bought this guitar today with a 15 amp Vox. Neck and action are perfect-

Plays great. I also tried a PRS singlecut that had alot more grunt, but not anywhere near the same clarity on the lower strings. Maybe just that particular guitar.Go figure-

Played several American and Mexican Fenders while deciding and kept coming back to this one. Fret edges are unfinished, but for $150, you can't go wrong.

  • I thought pine wouldn't make a good tone wood. guess I heard wrong.

  • these guitars are amazing, i've been wanting one for a couple months but didnt want to order online without playing one, the local shop got one in and i played it a few minutes and had to have it. its a beauty. the neck is super comfortable, it stays in tune really good. i didnt have to change action, intonation or anything else. the only complaint is neck pup is not as defined as i would like it to be but thats a cheap enough fix.

  • Yes they are amazing axes! Try lifting the neck pup closer to the strings.

  • i'll have to try that. theres no screws to lift it on the pickguard so they must be under it. for the price theyre hard to beart especially sincer is raising some of their prices now. mim strats are 550 now! wtf

  • 50's teles had black pickguards !

  • Telecasters (earlier Broadcasters and Nocasters) had a black bakelite guard from 1950- 1953. 1954 was the transition year to white plastic guard.

  • thanks for that info.

    you play that tele great.

im trying to find one to buy. all my local dealers are out !

  • Where did you get that white pickguard? which model? i'd like to install one on mine too. thanx.

  • You know, I have played many Squier teles, Mexicans, and many Americans. I have never played a better feeling guitar. It is definately better than any mexican standard tele I have played by far.

  • is it light or heavy , please

  • This one is light, about 3 kilos only! They vary, I played a real heavy one too...

  • Which amp are you playing with there?

  • VOX AC30 CC2X, blue alnico speakers.

  • i have a similiar question like Thoragz. i have a mexican tele but i like the classic vibe like yours and you might say its all what i like but my question to you is. would i be happy if got the classic vibe and got rid of my mex tele. p.s. im not liking the mex tele to much these days one of the pickups fried and im not happy now that its been worked on it sounds different to me

  • Go to a music store and try out the Squier Tele, I've had the MIM Tele, And sold it, This by far a better Tele, In my opinion, I can't stop playing it, And, I have Guitars worth 10 times more, It's up there with them.

  • Ok thanks for help! The classic 50's costs like €250 more so Ill give them both a try see if its worth the extra :)

  • so which one you like better? This or the mexican classic 50's? And do you think the mex is worth the extra money?

  • The 50's Classic is better and more vintage correct. Worth the extra? Dunno...

  • And the 50's Classic neck is awesome! The best Fender neck there is.

  • Hey man, how does this guitar sound with distortion?

  • I mean.. Very high distortion.

  • dont buy anything with single coils if you are planning on using a ton of distortion..

  • So now I am thinking "Oh.. So why that many rock guitarists use telecasters"..

  • I really like the white guard on this thing. It makes the color look more blonde whereas the black guard makes the finish appear more white. I've got one of these on order and if they are as good as their supposed to be, I may end up getting two or three of them as a platform for refinishes, upgrades and other mods. LOVE the Twang Kings in the other video by the way. Thanks for posting!

  • Where can I get a 5 hole white guard bro? I would realy prefere a tortoise but can't find a 5 hole anywhere d you know where?

  • Hi, what kind of neck does the GUITAR has, a Soft V neck, a C neck, a big C neck, just a D plain neck???

  • A C neck, quite comfortable with medium jumbo frets and bigger radius. I like the bigger neck of my Fender 50's Classic much better, though.

  • so, this neck would be smaller than my other guitar (HW-1 Telecaster)

  • Hey wut brand pickguard is that and did u have to make any modifications to get it to fit?

  • That's a 1-ply guard from a Fender 50's Classic. Any Fender sized pickguard fits, this guitar IS a Fender. I put the original thick black guard on after this video, see the DiMarzio version!

  • Which Vox is that?

  • VOX AC30 CC2X, blue speakers. Marshall Guv'nor booster. Check my other Classic Vibe Tele clip with a VOX Big Ben booster and DiMarzio Twang King bridge pup! Sounds so much better!!!

  • Do you have any intonation problem with the 3 barrel bridge?

  • No, but installing compensated brass saddles helps getting perfect intonation.

  • I actually found the compensated saddles by wilkinson to not be that great for getting perfect intonation. I could actually get just as good intonation with the standard saddles that came on my classic vibe.

  • how it is good vs. fender classic 60 telecaster? I play 60 Rock n Roll. It is good for this style? Thanks!

  • hey would anyone know how much would this cost in australia? please reply :D :D :D cheers

  • Finally, it's nice to hear some distortion! Don't get me wrong, I'm no metalhead, but all the tele videos out there are people playing clean, and they basically all sound the same. Also, I like the new Squier guitars. Many of them have maple fretboards, which is rare in that price range.

  • Awesome. As if I didn't want one enough as it is! Thanks for the vid!

  • I'm considering buying a new guitar and can't decide whether to buy Squier Duo-sonic or this Telecaster. It looks very nice with that white pickguard, though, so I think I'll go for it. Is that pickguard a genuine Fender part or did zou get it someplace else? And thanks for the post, great playing

  • why you change the pickguard?? classic vibe is great anyway

  • rock on daddy-o

  • Well played,

What do you think of the classic vibe Tele squier, I read a review recently and it was favourabe,I was going to buy one, have you tried the strats ??

  • I love the tint on that neck.

  • Do know how the body is routed beneath the pickguard? I'm kinda looking for a tele to modify a bit, and this seems like a good option.

  • Two holes for the pickups. You can put a humbucker to the neck, it will fit...

  • Thank you! I'm still considering my options, but I'm thinking about putting a P-90 in the neck position (never liked the tone of the regular tele neck pickup.

  • I'm not sure, that a P90 will fit because that is wider than a humbucker. Maybe a humbucker sized P90?

  • Are the P-90's wider than a humbucker? I've always been under the impression that they're slightly smaller all around...

  • Not wider but "longer". A regular P90 wouldn`t fit in a regular humbucker routing without further modifing of the routing.

  • regular tele single coil routing for the bridge and humbucker routing on the neck position

  • i am so getting one of these guitars as soon as possible, they are so nice

  • Loistava video Freewheeler! Soundi aika loistava!! t. kloppis ;D

  • Not as bell-like as ash, but more midrange and more snap. Not so much bottom.

  • what do you know about pinewood tonewise?
