  • This intro is Soo fucking badass, I liked this one better than the first one with Tiamat. Cool show! ^_^

  • This was seriously the highlight of my Saturday Morning cartoons! Venger was so bad ass.

  • There should be a different D&D series for THIS generation. CGI, anime, or 80's style, so long as everything's in place.

  • Stupid noob idiot video for noobs kid like me

  • Dang, they got really good equipment! I mean, cloak on invisibility right off?

  • Awesome

  • sad that the cant make cartoons any more... stupid computer animations..

  • what's the meaning of "Dungeons and dragons" in Spanish??

  • Ahhhh Saturday morning cartoons. This and the Marvel power hr. Was the best.

  • Ticks me off to no end that this awesome intro is NOT on the DVD set. Only the original intro is on the DVDs, not the 2nd nor 3rd. Love this intro.

    Thanks for posting this!

  • @ShogoYahaagi The 2nd and 3rd intros are included in the bonus features on disc 5 of the original BCI box set.

  • @ShogoYahaagi AGREED!! They put this on the dvd as a special feature (the region 2 dvd anyway) but they point out that it is too damaged to have in front of each episode. To be honest I don't care how damaged it is, this intro rocks and the series is not complete without this in front of the right episodes.

  • This is one of the cartoons that would come on Saturdays, you would grab a bowl of cereal cover up on the couch with the bros, and sisters.Just enjoy the weekend with friends.Cartoons All day long. Its good to see people who grew up with the same generation, and know whats good shit man! Thanks for posting this video this cartoon will never be forgotten even by a new generation of people! Somewhere down the line someone will try to make a movie out this with new technology.

  • That's optimu's voice before transformers, got to be !

  • @FRANKIEFRESH9 Indeed, it is Peter Cullen voicing Venger, shortly before landing the role of Optimus Prime in Transformers.

  • Easy, a wizard did it. XD

  • easy, a wizard did it. XD

  • easy, a wizard did it. XD

  • @dndrequiem

Easy, a wizard did it. XD

  • Man. The 80's toonage rocked. From features like this, '81 Hulk. '83 Spiderman/Amazing Friends, Transformers to animated toy toons for Starriors and Air Raiders. Today's animation is a sad joke to this. If only a Time Machine would exist. I'd go back and gladly to stuck their for eternity!

  • Is there a movie made out of this? And if not, they should make a movie out of this.

  • 0:37 >:3 MUEAH

  • OH MY GOD...best cartoon ever made. Have such a serious and dark tone...along with some humor (mainly Erik).

Why the hell religious people and those "buy and sell" rights messed with the whole series? I'd really wanted to see more episodes, the last episode and also a movie. COME BACK DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS...PLEAAASSEEEEE.

  • woo wtf

  • Movies by Shadowyn films

    Title: Soul Searching .

    .

    movies by Shadowyn Films

Title: Soul Searching Wintertide -----a D&D Christmas movie.

Enjoy! we love any opinions and future story ideas!!

  • I don't like that Tiamat and Venger are eliminated from this intro. Otherwise it's way better than the original intro. Then again, the original really helped tell the backstory and get you in the mood. It's just when you watch every episode on Youtube in a row that it gets nauseating.

  • The idea is that the first season intro establishes the back story. The back story having been established, the second season intro shows the kids using their weapons with greater skill and confidence.

  • But Venger's not completely eliminated from this intro. That's him at the end--the great looming shadow, and his voice as well.

It's really only Tiamat who is gone.

  • awesome show

  • Essa abertura é da hora.Mas seriam esses seres verdes hobgoblins?

  • Love this game, and love this cartoon...I wanna play D&D NOW! It wakes up my inner gamer xD!

  • This is so much more sinister than the original intro. Love it!

  • i loved this cartoon so many years ago. they should bring it back.

  • There will never be a cartoon like this in the history of television, that had so much emotion well written stories awesome.

  • ITS ACE INT IT ;]

  • damn good show

  • now this is more like it

  • I love this show, one of my very favourite cartoons ever, I remember when I first saw it back in the 80's on a show called saturday superstore, I remember being scared of the monsters. What was odd was that I thought I saw an episode where dungeonmaster turned into a dragon, but when d&d come back on t.v a few years later I saw every episode and there was'nt one where Dungeonmaster turned into a dragon. I must've been dreaming.

  • ever watchthe 60 minutes special on D&D u tube it its fkng hillarious

  • anakik sul,aii jkk foodc end skifidool9nidjk

  • Ho-

    -ly

    shit...

    *head explodes*

  • The "last" episode doesnt get them home, it just solves the Venger problem once and for all.

  • but in he D&D lore gold dragons are good WTF

  • It never ended, the last episode is made by fans with the original writers of the cartoon, no sure if it's out yet.

  • wow did it end ? i thoght it was canceled b4 they got home .....its good to know they did....few lol

i bet one of the kids didnt wanna go fair that day...

  • it was canceled before they got home. i got the box set. and it has some people reading the script and it is set to pictures. this is my favorite cartoon.

  • Is the last episode called "requiem"? i can't find it

  • .... is the missapear .... forget it

  • Bobby pwn the dragon zomg!

  • what the???.-..

  • ahhh the good old days i loved them

  • Oh wowsers! I LOVED THIS as a child!!! Uni! Cool - I feel like I have just gone back in time!

  • You did! :)

    lol

  • Keen Scythe

  • Dungeons and Dragons Roller Coaster ride? Shit, that would've been awesome.

  • are you serious? the 80's must hav fukin sucked

  • no, jrax0, just you, O Jaded One.

  • This confirms the ineffectualness of their weapons. They stood little chance before. Their chances are weakening now.

  • fuck yeah

  • 0:42 save VS. crapping your pants *roll* fail...

  • The devils want to kill me, emergency status worldwide launched.

  • Does anyone remember Turbo Teen from the 80s cartoons?

  • Yeah, the GOOD old days. Brings back memories.

  • you should order the DVD.

  • Nice Cartoon!! We made a movie about it.

Check it out at my profile!!

  • Optimus prime in another transformers movie this year?

  • LMAO! I WAS GONNA SAY THE SAME THING

  • holy crap!! i loved this cartoon!!!

  • Lol m2;p

  • Miss those Saturday mornings of the 80's!!!

    I had the toys too!!!

  • want to play an online game like dungeons and dragons for free? Go to my channel and click the link at the bottom of my box and start playing!

  • A trilha é otima! E a voz do Senhor dos Magos em ingles é bem pior!!!

  • This cartoon should have been more edgy. I know it was the 80's. The unicorn is so lame!! Get better animation, deeper, more graphic story lines and bring D&D back!!

  • The series is awesome and so is the DVD...thanks 4 posting this intro.

if there is a list of all-time greatest cartoon shows this one should be in the top 10

  • That's not the thrid intro... Dungeons & Dragons had ony 2 intros, and that's the second one...

  • Diana was my fave;)

I'm not sure if, Venger's voice changed or was it "sneaky"; Shadow Demon, after a few season's? I have it on DVD but it's lost ALOT magic as really it should of been seen as a; "Cartoon Breakfast" or "Afternoon Teatime" view on tele.

    Thanks!

  • This intro is fantastic!!

  • I don't remember this intro.

That would be messed up if they were still there, over 20 some years and still trying to outrun Venger.

  • Could the dungeon master defeat Tiamat?

  • what would uni kiss from Avenger?

what is the next Dungeon Master?

THERE IS NO ESCAPE FROM THE REALM OF DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS ... Jailbreak ... *FEIX*

  • Lol

  • uni is so cute!

  • I always remember uni being a complete pain as she(?) was one of the reasons they never made it home!

  • Comment removed

  • Seems J K Rowling took the idea of Harry Potter from Presto.....hmmmmmmmm....doesnt Presto look familiar?????

  • Why,why and Why? Why movies companies not make a movie of this excellent cartoon?

  • @fredvegerano I feel your pain Fred, you have no idea!

  • @fredvegerano You sure you want that with everyone doing a "RE-IMAGINING" of everything these days?

  • @stupidstuffx :Yeah! You are right!Movies companies and producers are re*imagine the old films and series!I love D&D a lot!Hope anybody can make the right thing with that awesome series.I loved everytime they got to earth but only for a shoert time!

  • @fredvegerano, cos they already used the title to make a lame-ass film.

  • I always find this opening far more distressing than the first. They're only children having to make adult decisions. Even worse is that they never did find the way home...

  • I think they decided to stay in the end.

  • really I never they never made it home. So are they in hell or something?

  • They were still in the realm at the end of Series 3, when the series was axed. There was talk of a 'requiem', but it was never completed. I believe that, consequently, you have to make the assumption that they are still there!

  • really hows acrobat fight

  • man, this still gives me goosebumps 20 yrs later, hehehehe ^_^

  • This is the theme that was supposed to show the kids as they grew more confident with their weapons, and more trusting of each other. Unlike today's shows, the characters evolve, mature and change.... just like real life.

  • I understood that was the idea too, but when I see this, they seem to be much worse off than when they started!

  • Maybe not better off, but now better prepared.

  • They and their weapons still seem largely ineffectual to me. Why else would they end up o the top of a mountain?

  • The best weapons in the world can be rendered useless when confronted by enough enemy forces.

  • So, they are doomed?

  • this show was amazing.

  • "There is no escape from the rehlm of dungeons and dragons"

Correct me if I am wrong, but is that the voice of Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.

  • No, Shredder was James Avery from the Fresh Prince. The voice in this is Peter Cullen who played Optimus Prime.

  • The fact that you know this send shivers down my spine

  • I used to make a game out of matching the voices to the actors in the credits. Just got bored one day.

  • Comment removed

  • @djzee1000 Nope. Shredder(1987): James Avery, Dorian Harewood, Jim Cummings

    Venger: Peter Cullen

  • Umm, I don't remember any D&D campaigns looking like that. O_o

  • i remember watching this as a kid, did they ever get back home?

  • no they didnt cbs cancelled it before they got to do the last one

  • what the fuck! what is it with us tv networks canceling good shows, so they ended it before they got home, the bastards!. i know its only a cartoon, but it pisses me off, like when freaks and geeks got cancelled.

  • that's not true, they did get home in at least one episode, but they couldn't stay b/c Venger followed them back to Earth ("The Box").

  • Is it me or does vengor sound like optimus prime?

The eighties must have been that guys "prime" for doing character voices

  • The same man did the voices, yes.

  • figured that

  • a few nights ago, i had to stay up till 4:00

    to watch this on jetix

  • still love the series after all these years, i got the dvd set, best $30 I ever spent :-)

  • The musical score for a cartoon was awesome. The stories were so layered, hard to find that now on a Saturday morning.

  • certainly better than the stuff the kids are watching these days :-) they had morals and meaning in almost ever episode...

  • Really? Where did you find it? Was it at a used record shop? Or can I find it at a "Borders" type place..

  • i bought it sat wal-mart a couple years ago who knows if theres still copies out there...

  • If you're British, you can still buy it. If you're American, I couldn't comment, I'm sure.

  • Now that's how I remember it! wow, I even think I got a slight chill by the end there...

too bad the video is not the best quality, but I have been watching this on Jetix for over a year now, and they don't use this intro

  • tinks animation is equal to that of himan the years 80

  • It IS from the 80's ._."

  • best think in America is Dungeon and Dragons

  • lol eric "no, sweat *face to face with goblin, hehe AHHHHHH!!!!!" erics hilarious

  • I love 80's cartoons. they're soo ridiculous.

  • D&D was animated in Japan. A lot of the 80's cartoons were contracted out to Japan.

  • Best cartoon of the 80's.

  • SWEETNESS

  • man i wonder how gay you would be to go there

  • or straight!

  • most awesome :)

  • look up Vidagisvardagendargen Chronicles Episode 1 for a craptastic time!!! It's a D&D spoof.

  • was that the voice of Optimus Prime ?

  • peter cullen

  • Um..kind of. Venger was also voiced by Peter Cullen who did O.P.

  • Greatest cartoon along with inspector gadget! great memories!

  • I always watched this show as a kid. It never made me want to do anything strange. Some kids might be influenced, but those kids need better parenting. And that voice announcer is the same voice of OPTIMUS PRIME in the cartoon and in the new Michael Bay movie.

  • so is the dungeon master the devil or what?

  • No, he's the old guy in the robe who goes about helping them.

  • You talkin to me?

  • Am I talkin' to you? Am I talkin' to you? Then who the hell else am I talkin' to? Am I talkin' to you? Well I'm the only one here. Who the fuck do you think I'm talking to?

Heh, sorry, couldn't resist. Yes. Yes I am.

  • what did you like about me?

  • You really know how to dance?

  • Only if his dungeon is too hard XD

  • Wow, you know whats funny about this? That 5th graders don't play DnD.

  • I don't recall seeing this intro. Thanks for sharing!

  • No me moleste mosquito!

  • No me hinches las narices con ese comentario

  • que esta canción es de parchis no de los dulces

  • dungeon master is paul daniels for real! this guy is the spitting image! LOL LMAO!

  • Yeah you KNOW that was rarer than SHIT because I know for a FACT there is NO way that show woulda stayed on with THAT intro back THEN! *flicks bick, headbangs* YYYES!

  • vinger is a pussy!

  • Man, did these kids ever get back home or what??? Seems like everytime they find a way, it's always destroyed or somethin' But this was one of my favorite shows back then.

  • they never got back home in the cartoon they pulled the show. They wrote the script for the series finale episode which is called"requiem" in that they got chose if they wanted to go back or fight a new evil, becuase Vengar gets turned back into a good guy

  • This was the 2nd intro, used for the 2nd and 3rd seasons. The 3rd intro was made for the 2000 re-airing on Fox.

  • what happened in the 3rd intro?

  • The 3rd intro that Fox used in 2000 kept with the ride on the rollercoaster until they were sucked in, then it turned into a montage of fast-paced scenes from the show with new music, culminating in the title of the show.

  • Thank you for posting - Beacuse I remeber this Intro but sadly it was on the DVD set for season

  • This may seem weird/crazy but whenever a certain episode from the 3rd season was on I would have a dream that I was in that episode. Talk about living in that realm! That opening was sweet.

  • This was the best opening of the series, shame they never got round to using it.

In my opinion, it gave it a darker feel.

  • they did use it,but its not in the box set

  • interesting opener for the cartoon the other one (the original) is better at establishing the characters but this is good too.

  • I don't remember that opening, but it's good

  • I don't remember that opening too. I think that show bombed in the 3rd season, which is too bad because it was the best show on at the time.
