Last few things, we should be able to hear the characters attacking and being attacked like in every other fighting game. This game barely has that. We need more grunts! Lastly, the storymode shouldn't have those 2-D cutscenes. It sucks and looks copied and pasted from the shows which is just plan lazy.
He calls the story in SSBB repetitive but Punch Time Explosion is also repetitive. They better fix a lot of crap when they make this for the consoles.

2) The story mode better have more things to do.
3) The voice actors for most of the characters.
4) Gameplay
5) The characters should speak their lines in storymode rather than just introduce themselves.
6) Balancing.
7) Buttons.
This game had good intentions, but horrible execution.
Yeah you should really have a lot more respect for smash bros considering your game is based on its revolutionary gameplay. At least don't scoff while you deride it's story mode which you clearly had little experience with given your confusion as to which game it was even in.
The game looks worth trying, but up to this point no one has been able to successfully make a good smash bros clone. Jump Superstars, Naruto, Battle Stadium DON, Turtles Smash Up...all failed. I don't have high hopes

At least this game has no way of being absorbed other than as a kid's game.

Why is the camera zoomed in to the character that you play as? They should let you see where the other characters are as well, zoom out the camera a little bit.
Johnny Bravo is an Assist Character. If he was a proper playable character I think he would kill everybody. Since he is the Chuck Norris of when Cartoon Network was good right?

I am a little disappointed that they didn't include some characters from other shows. Hopefully when the console versions get released this september, they'll include characters from Ed, Edd, and Eddy, Courage the Cowardly Dog, HiHi Puffy Ami Yumi, Teen Titans, etc. I can't ask for too much, but hopefully when it is released for the home consoles they'll include some more shows, and possibly more characters from the currently represented shows. I like how they used a lot of more classic cartoon characters (Captain Planet, PPG, Dexter for example) and not just the new ones... most of which aren't very good imo. I heard the console versions will have more characters, so I'll wait and see if Cow and Chicken, Johnny Bravo, and others make it in before buying... which is too bad, as I'd like another 3ds game. This was a great idea though, hopefully it ends up being better than most cartoon based video games.

I bet this game would sell 10 times more, had they added Finn & Jake, Gwen from Ben 10, and some other, retro/ alternative choices, instead of like, the whole Power Puff cast. Don't get me wrong, but if you're going to do that, at least add the Rowdy Ruff Boys and such. I mean, Chowder, K'nuckles, Flapjack, and Billy+Mandy & Dexter vs. Vilgax? That's WAY too vague, though they were some of my favorite shows. Also, the supers seem too overdone. Add DLC characters and I'll buy.

This game looks great, I've always dreamed of a portable version of super smash bros. (but a cartoon network version is the next best thing) only problem is the voice acting, they really should have gotten all the original voice actors, especially for people like flapjack who's voice now echo's in my nightmares.
One reason why NOT to get this game: they were too lazy to use the original voice actors for all the characters. Don't you want them to sound EXACTLY how they sound in the show, rather than similiar?!

@DrPokemonblut Thumbs up times 100. This game doesn't even begin to stack up to Smash Bros.... Not even the FIRST Smash Bros. The developers should remake this game, but in sprite style.... 3D doesn't do these certain characters justice. Cartoon Network characters deserves a better game than this.

@Allplussomeminus this game looks pretty solid yes its not as good as SSB but its a good solution for a 3ds ps3 and xbox 360 version of smash bros
by the way the beta version of this got a 7 imagined what the final will get an 8 and also the console versions a 9?

I think the one way we'll see a 3DS Smash Bros. game is if this game succeeds and HAL Laboratory takes notice OF the success of this game, which steals a lot from Smash Bros.

@masterman280 whys everyone saying that? where did you hear this from? i read up on the official punch time explosion site and watched the interview with the developer talking about the 3ds version and he said "this game will have 4 player multiplayer, locally and online, we also have download play". what was your source?

I like how they used a lot of more classic cartoon characters (Captain Planet, PPG, Dexter for example) and not just the new ones... most of which aren't very good imo. I heard the console versions will have more characters, so I'll wait and see if Cow and Chicken, Johnny Bravo, and others make it in before buying... which is too bad, as I'd like another 3ds game. This was a great idea though, hopefully it ends up being better than most cartoon based video games.

Looks like a pretty great game. I'll probably pick this up after I get Ocarina. I always wanted a Smash Bros. for handheld. This is close enough. Cool character substitutes.

it would be better to be a marvel vs capcom 3 style of the game and not just cartoon network but vs anime like naruto pokemon goku vs nickelodeon danny phantom and spongebob aang vs disney king mickey jake long jack sparrow games like red alert 3 cnc kane john cena or (any other wwe superstar you like) lara croft rambo chuck norris indiana jones richter belmont sonic solid snake it would be EPIC!!!! it shoulbe 90-120 chars in the game. no thx to Crapcom for dissapointment jeez

I bet this game would sell 10 times more, had they added Finn & Jake, Gwen from Ben 10, and some other, retro/ alternative choices, instead of like, the whole Power Puff cast. Don't get me wrong, but if you're going to do that, at least add the Rowdy Ruff Boys and such. I mean, Chowder, K'nuckles, Flapjack, and Billy+Mandy & Dexter vs. Vilgax? That's WAY too vague, though they were some of my favorite shows. Also, the supers seem too overdone. Add DLC characters and I'll buy.

This game looks great, I've always dreamed of a portable version of super smash bros. (but a cartoon network version is the next best thing) only problem is the voice acting, they really should have gotten all the original voice actors, especially for people like flapjack who's voice now echo's in my nightmares.

should have stuck to the the original 'cartoon cartoons' like Johnny Bravo, courage, cow and chicken, i am weasel, ed edd n eddy.
"Ben Ten" and "kids next door" were well after my time.
You are probably blending the 90s and 00s in order to garner wider appeal but it still feels like you are mixing "justice friends" and "looney tunes"
