Abigor were always in their own progressive little world.

Listening to them since Nachthymnen come out and I think I actually prefer this and Fractal possession!

hmmm. I guess I like it. But to me...this is not a progression from their older material. It doesn't feel like Black Metal anymore. So many bands are following this Industrial BM trend since "and oceans" started. Shame : /

Oh, I love their old stuff too; it's legendary. Ever since Silenius left, I thought they didn't really do anything great till the Fractal Possession phase. True, several black metal bands are going into the "industrial black metal" style (as loose as that is), but I've never heard anything like this anywhere. This is truly unique.

After having given Fractal Possession a thorough, considerate listen, I had an ominous feeling that Abigor was on the start of a vvveeerrryyy interesting path, and that their next album was probably going to be not only better, but more profound.

Low and behold, they released this, and I was blown away. Just blown away. I can't stop listening to it.
