Wow, havent longboard in quite a few years and i havent checked on any of my videos in a year. JUST SO PEOPLE CAN UNDERSTAND, yea i know the video wasnt the best but it was something me and my friends did when we were bored. We had just started longboarding for a few weeks so thats why we were only doing easy tricks. I no longboard b/c over the past yr i have gotten involved in motorsports, primarily amateur drifting. Anyways just wanna thank those that supported my noob ass in this video lol

I'm looking at getting my first longboard. i've skated regular skateboards before so making the switch wouldn't be that hard but i was at my local skate shop today talking to the owner about them and he said the original trucks they just go from point A to point B not in between. the board that I'm looking at is the Hybrid 35 and just wondering how do these boards ride? i am thinking about putting original trucks that they have at the shop on my cruizer but idk if its worth getting it

@hb15577 i can do both, and actually doing tricks on a longboard is harder. Also, try bombing a hill with a generic skateboard and you'll get speed wobbles going 30+ mph. No disrespect or anything, but don't diss something you know nothing about.

I have an Apex 34 with S8 trucks, lime retro freerides... I never rode the hybrid before but the apex 34 is nuts, it's good at everything. Even if you wana go downhill, just buy some white springs for $12 and you can go pretty fast...

I have the Hybrid 35. its an awesome board. i haven;t riden it a whole lot cuz of the real cold weather. i can tell you that its amazing. it can out carve almost every board. especially with s6 trucks. Its good for technical tricks its great for sliding, and overall flatland. The Apex has an outstanding reputation that im sure it lives up to. It has more flex, and is a better board for dancing and hills. If you want more info check out some vids with the Apex 34 im sure someone can help you out

hey dude, the hybrid has minimum flex.; barely bends at all. its stiff, you dont even know it has flex unless u have ur face like an inch from the board when someone is standing on it. lol But its definitely not a boring board. If you want hit power carves and get the best surfing feel, you want the hybrid. B/C it's so stiff, you can really throw that carve out there fast and then bring it back really fast. Most hectic(in a fun way) pumping and carving i've ever done.

oh dude, ur griptape is gonna die in like a month or two if you ride it even at a moderate amount of usage. the spray on grip tape that the apex 37 & 34 is shitty. Mine is already worn out, i have to really work on my balance to keep on. the spray-on grip doesnt stay on very long. get the full black grip tape. It doesnt look as nice but it lasts longer and is more efficient.

really?!? I've had my apex since June and its august now. My grip tape is crappy and its really sketchy on turns at fast speeds b/c my feet keep slipping off the grip. i could rub my face on the griptape and it wouldnt hurt. thats how worn out it is already after only like 2 months.

its hard to choose sometimes. Hybrid was my 1st board & i love it. Its carves like nothing else i have ever ridden and thats a good thing b/c im a carving maniac, as you can see. lol BUT for all-around goodness, i have to choose the Apex as the best. It just does so many things so well. It will not carve as well as the hybrid but its just more versatile and easier to ride over long distance. Hybrid for carving, Apex for everything else.

nope, i was thinking along the right lines. I wasnt talking about hills, i was talking about flatlands. imo, hybrid carves better the apex and the apex pumps better the hybrid. Hybrid can pump but its too tiring since it doesnt have flex like the apex, so thats y its not as good as the apex. Apex cant carve as SHARP as the hybrid, it just pumps better. Try pumping a hybrid for a long distance, & in 10 mins, you'll have a heart attack from the stress.
