  • Great video, very informative!

  • This is what i have looked for 20 years!!! Great lesson. Thanks a lot

  • Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!—at long last. After trawling through thousands of idiots' 'instructional' videos that try and fail miserably to demonstrate this jazz improvisation concept of using the guide/colour tones, at last this guitarist; Jeff Richmond demonstrates clearly and unambiguously what it's all about—Thanks once again Jeff. I was getting fed up with the other 'lessons' - What rubbish they are...

  • we all choose the g string

  • Magnifico, grazie della lezione!

  • tell me if i'm wrong or write its a method i learned.. the Fm can be soloed over with a Ebmaj7 scale, Bbm=Abmaj7, Bb7= Emaj7. Dbmaj7=Db scale, G7= Cmaj7, C= Cmaj7

  • Hello sir is there any theory why u r going from a flat to c or it is just random scale merge n if u r changing key which chord should be the last for the first key n which chord should be first in second key just a thumb rule. Sorry but ur lesson is amazing n helpful. Thank u n god bless

  • How's Tina Fey in bed Jeff? Sorry I'm sure you get that a lot haha.

  • Holy nice lesson!

    Your my hero!

  • This is "All the Things you Are"

  • many jazz standards use this progression, every chord is a 4th away

  • Top Guitar Instructor !

Thank you for sharing the video guitar world magazine

    John

  • youuuu aree the promised kiss of spring time (8)

  • how do you construct a chord progression?

  • @23445545665 Thats impossible to teach in 500 letters -_-

  • Gracias!

  • sounds very similar to "Fly Me to the Moon"

  • @Stevenarius It's called "all the things you are" it's a jazz standard..

  • @Stevenarius I was thinking Autumn Leaves

  • insane tone

  • what jazz standard is this? sorry for the ignorance im just startin to get into jazz xD

  • @HiImJerry8 All the Things You Are

  • excellent lesson

  • si ma la tecnica dov'è?

  • Wow that's the jazz standard All the Things You Are. Never realized that before about that tune, just the third of each chord. I wonder if that's how Jerome Kern came up with it.

  • Fly me too the moon~ Take me far beyond the stars.

I really love this progression, thanks for sharing~

  • all the things you are

  • we missed you and ofcourse your and your Relic!

  • you are at MI now??? i was wondering where you went... Tariqh totally fucked up. everyone missed you at LAMA!

  • man.. how come he makes it look so easy? but when i try it on my own, it sounds like grease.

  • Sadowsky Jim Hall signature

  • Does anyone know what guitar he's using ?

  • Great lesson. Thanks!

  • Our name is RICHMAN not Richmond! Stop screwing it up please :)

  • @mrichman Jeff Richmond is Tina Fey's Husband, not this guy

  • @skurasch huh?

  • great guitar btw

  • This lesson fcnk Rock!!

    :D

    (thumbs up lmao)

  • This guy is brilliant really. He makes it seem so easy. The concept of course is simple but putting it to practice is something else altogether.

  • I like the sound of the melody more than the solo at the end. Im a simple kinda guy though

  • such a lovely sound

  • beautiful tone

  • @0mgh4xftw wonder what pickups he's using

  • it's very difficult, but the guy seems very proffesional

  • This song is called 'All the Things You Are'

  • @xdivinebladex it has a feeling of "fly me to the moon" though :)

but yeah the song is great! :D

  • as a matter of fact, if you play the fly me to the moon melody over those chords, it fits right in. i found that after trying to solo over it the first time

  • okey! :) nice

  • Its Autumn Leaves

  • the melody sounds a whole lot like all the things you are

  • @xdivinebladex

actually it's the first 8 bars of all the things you are :)

then it goes a 4th below

  • @ibanezbloke pretty similar. autumn leaves ends on a minor chord though. ;)

  • wow

  • what kinda guitar is that?

  • Its a sadowsky. Sweet guitar.

  • awsome :)

  • I lost the game
