High Hook up on Schutt ION 4D (what to do)

the hook up where it goes through the mask, is basically the excat same thing...i talked to a schutt dealer and the guy that helps design and build all of schutts helmets......he said that, the reason i wouldnt want the high hook up, as you see here...the straps from the chin strap get in the way of youe periphal vision, and they told me i really wouldnt like it.....

@am7ip yeah it would block your vision but some people dont like the look of the strap through the mask like me. you can get the same feel as the high hook up but theres just something about the look i dont like

@shawdabest it's not exactly the same, it just doesn't fit as well as the regular high hook up. Schutt actually designed it so your vision would not be obstructed. they made the mask so there were no bars there and thats why they designed the mask to be able to have the chinstrap go through the mask but yes it also serves as the purpose to have the same "feel" as the high hook up

@papalii42 haha well that all depends on the size of your head. like if the circumfrance of your head is less than 22 get a medium but if its bigger get a large to measure you can just use a measuring tape or something within that nature or take a cloth and wrap it around your head and then measure the cloth's length but if your head is exactly 22 inches get a large it will be comfy

thats one way to do high hook up good job!... yes u r right high hook up is amazing more comftorble and easir than low hook up!..... another way to do a high hook up on any helmet mowly for the ion 4d its just to remove the little snapperon the chin strap then put it threw the little line threw the facemask then put the clip thing back on its much easier but i like all ur reviews!

@XXDucttapeAPE1XX It like a regular helmet just with an air liner in it for a little added protection but mostly a custom fit most of the protection comes from the foam or tpu though

@XXDucttapeAPE1XX Just wipe the visor off with like a micro fiber cloth or like a nike dri fit shirt you can use eyeglass spray too and wipe the visor off with that but even using your breath will work. I just use a white cloth. But, if you're trying to get rid off scratches they wont go away

@XXDucttapeAPE1XX mine was 380 because of the finish (gold flakes) but i have seen them for 200 at some online retailers but they dont come with fase masks I dont think that you will find anything as good as the dna for under 175 but just remind your parents that you need to be SAFE and PROTECTIVE on the field and saftey is vital on a football field
