  • I can't help it Kelsey! =)

  • Damn you Dave! You know this has been stuck in my head for two days! Send me another link when i am not expecting it! I dare you! LoL damn it....

  • I drove my Sarsen through your garden last night I kicked your front door down around at midnight Something's telling me, boy, that your avoiding me And when I find you, you will run for your tea.I've got a brand new shiny helmet, and a pair of kinky boots. I've got a lovely new flak jacket, a lovely khaki suit. When we go on night patrol, we hold each other's hand, For we are the British Army, and we're here to take your land.

  • 11 people didn't get a brand new pair of roller skates.

  • Fantastically entertaining :D

  • Simply a great cover. Really enjoyed this!

  • I love this!

  • Your song always makes me smile!

  • hiijaaahh!!!

  • tolle stimme , geile musik :)) gruss aus deutschland :^^

  • The bassist is about to drink her milkshake . . . . . .

  • i LOVE that mans Stache. bahaha.

  • The Dollyrots did this too :] but they called it Brand New Key.

    Love both!

  • brought a smile to my face. we just played this song this afternoon at my uke group :)

  • This is win!

  • My dad played ukulele. Long live the BF's!!!

  • man im in love........great cover!

  • this is the best ukulele video ever

  • awesome ... the singer 'Melanie' did a great original in the 1960's - 1970's, but this is SO neat with all the folks 'ukulele' -- ling away!

    Cool!

  • Oh yeah!!! Perfect fun.

And Ned, please don't take off that mustage, you are the perfect Arsin Lupin or Hercule Poirot !

  • Better than Joni Mitchel. Bravo bastards!

  • A singer named 'Melanie' did the original, not Joni ... not sure if Joni Mitchell would have even considered covering this song!

  • eu vi tantas vezes que nem sei dizer, faz tempo que não curtia tanto uma banda assim

  • Bravo! You guys are gold! Keep it up! (with or without the Ukulele team) ... LOL.

  • I forgot how much innuendo there is in this song. I love it!!!

  • Would luv to see YTW duet wit Melonie on this - GREAT do over!

  • LOL, omg, i love this. you guys are brilliant :D

  • Love that voice

  • This is friggin awesome

  • It was a good idea to include the ukulele group- gives it a sort of Polynesian feel. Feels like a whole new song.

  • I close my eyes an its like being at a Joni Mitchel Concert, Bravo vid again.

  • Man, I love the Fairies...

Kind of odd of them to use someone else's melody without at least putting it in as a note somewhere.

    (The Wurzels - Combine Harvester)

  • That's because the Wurzels took that melody from Melanie (Safka)'s Brand New Key. The song is about 35 or 40 years old.

  • Ah, ok. Never knew that. ^^

  • i've been trying to find this song since july when i heard a circus kid play it! omg i love it

  • oh my god i freakin' love the ukelele group!

  • it's western and it's good shit man shut up

  • Original was done in the 70s. I don't think it was Western then was it?

  • For someone who favorites Hillary Duff and Britney Spears on their profile to be dissing this is ridicules....

  • Sexy, sweet and so genuine....Beautiful!

  • Love it!

  • And the last time I checked, this is still a free country and people can sing about whatever they damn well please!! Spare me the self righteous crap of "scandalous" music, if you only knew half of what is sung about on this planet you'd be shocked and your ears would burn off, ohh the horror!

  • For all those who complain of the songs inneundos, some of you don't pay attention to A LOT of other music out there that is far more cheeky than this!! There are songs that sing about all kinds of stuff and that are far raunchier or suggestive than this cute little song; even if there may be a suggestion of sex. I guess we can all just sing about the paint peeling off the walls but I'm sure someone else out there would think that was dirty too ;)

  • nice work... cool clip :)

  • OMG! Is rngod2121 is actually being serious?

  • every time I here this song, I think of that scene in boogie nights....

  • she is pure hotness

  • This is an outrage! Bill O'Reilly needs to investigate this and determine the exact manner in which these innocent ukulele players were forced to play in this band! Clearly they didn't understand the ramifications of this video, supporting the agenda of the Bastard Fairies who promote such scandalous songs, written by the all too well known feminist activist Melanie Safka.

  • Obvious troll is obvious.

    =/

  • LOL!! U funny Right-Wing boy. :oP

  • I had one that was updated with a rap beat.. help me find it guys.

  • That's real cute! I'd go rollerskating with her any old day.

  • LOVE IT!!

  • that rocks

  • The He-yah is tradition amongst Hawaiian musicians as you can see by the others joining in. It's a joyous sound of celebration. Listen to Iz (Israel Kamakawawiaole, most famous, version of Somewhere Over the Rainbow)... he has a great variety of cute little yah noises to celebrate the end of a song. What makes this version so cool is the addition of the ukes.... you have to let the Hawaiians do their thing if you're going to invite them on your song. Open your mind and your heart will follow.

  • I like the one guys fake mustache.

  • Yellow Woman you are my lovely hero.

    you bastard you!

  • Hello :)

UMmmm LOL this is SO werid but if anyone is reading this. MSG ME! fY

  • I wished someone would me a music video about this song. When it can out in around 1970 I remember getting this on a 45

  • Great cover and we think the Bastard Fairies version is better.

    Rock On!

Paul Brown and the Killing Devils

  • also this song is about sex.

  • she looks like she's constipated. other than that awsome!

  • This song rocks! Most their songs are saracstic (which is cool) but this one displays alot of respect. Look at how she hits the same notes as the original, her clothes are so different to the other videos, But most of all there was a part where she sings "oh" over and over and that was prime opportunity to be a perv and she didnt do this. Maybe its because respect is given where earned. Either way I like this song and i usually hate remixes but this is great. Good job!

  • was all good up until the end when the idiot in 2nd row yells out "ya",, what a good way to ruin ur songs ending, u can tell YTG was a lil upset too by her facial expression. other then that,, then,, the other version they did theres an idiot who slams his hands on the table blowing the song,, u shouldnt let idiots in ur videos..

  • YTG? Who might that be? Yellow Thunder Woman?

  • a combine harvester is cooler than roller skates

  • they riped off the worzles!?!

  • Cool. I was wondering where the Bastards have been. (Maybe it is me who hasn't been around.)

  • nice work... cool clip..ehehe

  • I had to download the original song from itunes..

  • Is YTW in the club?

She's looking a tad bloated here.

  • she looks hot no matter what..

  • Hey!"

If'n YTW is a tad bloated I'm just a wishin it'wasa ma'sen as put her that away!

  • I am a new fan of the Fairies. Love most of what I have heard so far. Not the best effort vocally on this song though. Have they recorded any original music or just covers?

  • Did you found the answer to that question? :)

  • AbUnoDisceOmnes - Yes, thanks.

And to whoever gave me a Thumbs down. WTF? I am trying to find out an answer to a legitimate question.

  • Don't let a small thing like a thumb down get you mate, Youtube is full of dick heads!!

  • Boy don't I know it. I just got finished chastising a British Guy for Slamming Americans. I cannot understand peoples hatred of us. We didn't elect our Leader, the Supreme Court did. We can't help it if he is a retard. Thanks for yourr words of encouragement.

  • Dude! If we can't flame the US who are we going to flame?? Our own countries? Serieusly! It's so easy with the states no matter what I can come up with everyone just agrees with me... Did you know that over 60% of americans didn't go to high school?!!

  • I don't doubt it. WE are all entitled to everything so why work at it right?

  • I could believe that over 60% of us don't have the equivalent of an highschool education compared to other countries.. IE. our standards may be lower..

But no way in hell can I believe over 60% of us "Didn't go to high school" MAYBE if you said didn't earn a high school DIPLOMA, but that still would be a stretch imo..

(Then again.. if you pitch in a lot of the older folks.. who knows?)

  • Hey I just wanted to say to all of you that your band is inspirational and moving, and as of right now the music you all made is helping me through a very tough time. I also wanted to let you know that I am posting a video open to all artists by way of the pen or brush, to do the art of my next tattoo, and i'm saying in the video that I am posting that I want the tattoo to contain some inspiration from your music...

Thank you all for taking the time to read this!

  • ...Want to marry her.

  • loved this song before.. love it when she sings it even more.. :-D

  • Who sings the original version of this song? I've always wondered. Thanks!!!

  • Melanie, 1971, went to #1 on Billboard as "Brand New Key."

  • Thanks!!!
