sorry about your bike. my GSXR was stolen just last week, but by sheer luck the police caught the van transporting it a couple of days later and charged the guy with having stolen goods. i haven't got my bike back yet but the police said they broke the steering lock and ripped out the alarm (who thought it was so easy?)
@IgWannA2 buy a gps tracker and set it to sent you a msg when the motor its moving.....they are very small now days so you can hide it very good on your motor.it has battery and can be charged when the motor its running....very good product i have it on mine....

There is still the chance with a tracker that it wouldn't get a GPS signal in a van or a garage... so it's never guaranteed. A big ass chain like an Almax is your best bet, but my Almax 3 weighs 9kg, not exactly portable!

If it was illegal to ride without helmets, that would solve a lot of bike theft problems. Not every potential theif is going to have a convenient helmet at their disposal are they, and if the cops see you without one, you're fucked.
Every video I've seen on youtube about someone steeling a bike, the bike is always unlocked. A cheap $20 disk lock would have prevented this guy from rolling it away.
The steering lock is useless. Someone with even just basic critical reading skills would understand that I meant something in addition to the steering lock, like a chain or a disk lock.
@alehax27 - With a college education under my belt I don't think reading skills are the issue. If t he steering lock is useless, then the manufacturer or insurance company should do something about it. I always keep full coverage insurance on my bikes, let them get stolen.

This bike was most likely stripped into bits and parts was all sold on Ebay or another selling website.
Next bike you get, i recommend you use a master lock and bore holes on the triple tree so you can lock the bars in place completely.Also, nothing stop theft better than putting it in a garage.
Disk locks are useless .. since, it only requires to lift the wheel of the bike off the ground ... then they throw it into a van and go ... (i know what i'm talkin about, that's how they've stolen my first bike) ... and don't talk me about XENA disk locks with alarm ... you can defeat the alarm by pouring water inside or freon ...
You can guess on the video that the stealer went away to come back with a van ...

Feel for you dude. This is my nightmare. I use a thick masterlock and chain it to a tree but when I need to, I just run the lock though the tire and frame. Not sure how effective it is but the hope is that it'll be too much of a pain to bother with.

@IgWannA2 So when your motorbike starts to move.... :) you start running and trucking after it....hope never happens....You can even make a secret call and here whats happening around your bike...or buy a sim card with gprs credit also and track it always over a program...Also combine with the tracker 1 motorbike alarm so when they touch the bike you have a siren...IF ALL THIS DOESN'T WORK.... ITS A GOOD EXCUSE TO BUY A NEW MOTORBIKE.

If it was illegal to ride without helmets, that would solve a lot of bike theft problems. Not every potential theif is going to have a convenient helmet at their disposal are they, and if the cops see you without one, you're fucked.

Every video I've seen on youtube about someone steeling a bike, the bike is always unlocked. A cheap $20 disk lock would have prevented this guy from rolling it away.

@alehax27 - With a college education under my belt I don't think reading skills are the issue. If t he steering lock is useless, then the manufacturer or insurance company should do something about it. I always keep full coverage insurance on my bikes, let them get stolen.

I'm sorry to be the one to say this but the police don't give a shit like when my Motorbike got stolen I had to find it my self it was a off-road bike so the Police didn't care they hardly care about road ones unless there on the roads going the speed limit.
This bike was most likely stripped into bits and parts was all sold on Ebay or another selling website.

Next bike you get, i recommend you use a master lock and bore holes on the triple tree so you can lock the bars in place completely.Also, nothing stop theft better than putting it in a garage.

Disk locks are useless .. since, it only requires to lift the wheel of the bike off the ground ... then they throw it into a van and go ... (i know what i'm talkin about, that's how they've stolen my first bike) ... and don't talk me about XENA disk locks with alarm ... you can defeat the alarm by pouring water inside or freon ...
You can guess on the video that the stealer went away to come back with a van ...
Next time, attach with a ALMAX chain, they're the best

Feel for you dude. This is my nightmare. I use a thick masterlock and chain it to a tree but when I need to, I just run the lock though the tire and frame. Not sure how effective it is but the hope is that it'll be too much of a pain to bother with.
