He doesn't seem short tempered to me, just busied with all the people he is signing autographs for and perhaps somewhat tired/rushed. He may not have been in the mood to start delivering more than his autograph ;-) Kissing somebody for example (unless it's customary).

I think personally that though he's an extrovert on stage - he's quite reserved otherwise and private. He may get a little uncomfortable with the attention outside of the stage. He's just human afterall.
