@kalzx I seriously doubt you are going to be able to build a 250 that will reach 200 mph. It's IMPOSSIBLE. Only way to do it it so somehow manage to fit a suzuki hayabusa engine on the frame of the the what use to be a 250 and no longer is since it now has a 1300cc engine on it. An R1, CBR1000, GSXR1000 and the ZX 11 dont even have a top speed of 200 mph. Don't try to talk tough when you dont have a clue what you are talking about. It just makes you look ingnorant and dumb.

@irockon79 smaller cc two strokes need more gears because they have really no bottom end power. they have a close ratio gear box so they can keep the rpm's up and stay in the power band. smaller two strokes are ment for one thing. racing

@m200mw not really. if you want to stay in the powerband then no. they dont do well at low rpm it loads them up. they have a close ratio gear box so they dont loose too much rpm when shifting so u stay in the powerband. having a close ratio gear box means it needs more gears. like my rm400 has 5 because its not close ratio because bigger two strokes have more low end.

He's set the clutch to release / grip fully that far out. Most racing bikes have their clutches set similar to allow quick shifting to take less time to change gear.

@sorryunlucky If he had it set to "release" out that far that means the clutch is already 75% engaged the entire time and the bike wouldnt be going anywhere. The clutch needs to be moved a certain amount of distance to work properly so the guy in the video isnt shifting correctly.

You most certainly do. If you don't use the clutch it wears the gear box out and when the gearbox goes you might as well scrap the bike as they're expensive to buy IF you find one. And fiddly to fit and require a bunch of special tools, so plus mechanic labour.

A manufacture bike such as a Suzuki, Honda etc have fiddly gearbox's. Someone brought a Chinese import to me and I had to pull half the engine off with a grabbing tool because they messed it up on a field.
