alright i have a question. i bought this game several years ago and dont have the recept. when i install it, after it completes, it says the game is corrupt and when i restart my computer after that it goes to system recovery and i have to delete it. i assume my cd is corrupt. is it legal for me to download a torrent since i own the cd?

i'm sorry to hear you bought it. it could've been a great game, but not only it was rushed with lots of bugs (and i mean A LOT) but the patches left most of them unsolved. for what I read in playlogic forum, lots of people wanted their money back.

still the ones who actually managed to play it, love it.

from what I've seen, game art and concept is almost perfect, but the programming and support is mediocre.

How do you shoot the cannons in this game? It says space bar on the controls, i have enough cannon balls and i give it time to reload but when i press the space bar nothing happens. Can anyone help please :S ?

look at the the indicator at the top right with the green squares. The green squares are your cannons. The ones that are red wont work. When they are dark green you can fire them at boats when they are in range and in the line of fire with the active green cannons. (unless you press tab go into boat mode you can fire them at any time)

nah not really.. i finished 2 times pirates of the caribbean and I know the game perfectly, i am in a modding team for POTC called pirates ahoy! if you want check us out (google it :) were famous heh) and rly AoP is better than POTC.. the models and all that and no bugs(when patched) and thrs much more to do.. except one thing that bothers me.. thrs no outskirts.. u cant go in the jungle or on the islands for searching some kind of treasure or w/e.. that sucks (personal opinion)

I have this game & it's quite good! I reccomend it but make sure to patch it. It is not online, BUT- a new game- Pirates of the Burning Sea IS a MMO that allows players to choose between Pirates, Brittish, Spain, and French. It releases 01/22/2008, I playe dthe open beta and am hooked, ship to ship PvP is a blast!

It looks too much like the "Pirates of the Carribean" game for me. That game didn't even have anything to do with PotC except that they just popped the black pearl in for a little while. It was still a pretty fun game though.
