He is right, when the EMP rocket lands in DC-and the East Coast. So he goes in and uses ALL of his Martial Law powers. Bad dog!

In the missions following, "Second Sun" and "Whiskey Hotel," the EMP has fried everything on the East Coast, leveling the field for the US and Russian forces fighting for control of Washington, D.C.

@XxNoobificatedxX actually, Price intended for the ICBM to go off. It became an EMP for the Rangers in America and helped them keep their hold on Washington D.C. Price just didn't feel like telling the rest of the team (Ghost included) what his plans were. ^_^

It's like he said in the briefing: the EMP from the nuke will be the "bigger blast" to put out the "oil fire" of the Russian invasion of the East Coast. Granted, it will also damage or even cripple the U.S. forces, too, not to mention civilian casualties (poor, poor space walker...), but at the very least, he thinks, it puts them on an even playing field... or tips it in the American's favor, since they're on home turf.

Well excuse me, but I own this COD4 and i clearly saw that Price was injured and after you complete the mission, the cutscene shows some medic trying to rescuscitate Price and then he starts banging his chest so at that moment I assumed he died. I'm quite shocked though to see him alive and well in MW2.
