its PAL on ntsc, pal game is fast itself but when u pop it in pal console its normal, the other way arround if you put ntsc game to pal console it slows really badly though

LOL! the problem is: The game/console is designed to work on PAL (Europe) not on NTSC/J (Japan) and the europe version has a slower format than the NTSC/J Format.

nintendo never had a super mario bros/duck hunt cart combo for the Famicom, I think it was only for the NES.

There are a few pirate carts that have 32 nintendo games with super mario bros on it.

For some reason the UK, French and German versions had the 8-bit artwork much as the rest of the black series games in US. I live in Sweden and we kept the japanese artwork from the games, much like Super Mario Bros./Duck Hunt as well as the rest of the black series.

Luke what PAL for showing me teh rarez

Someone mentioned that the NES10 chip mod was needed to play PAL games, while this is true, additional steps are required. To get the correct speed/sound you will need to swap out the CPU and the crystal as well. I did a socket CPU mod on my last JAMMA NES. The only thing left would be to swap the crystal, then I could convert my NTSC NES to PAL.

To all those who are curious:

Luke is indeed playing a PAL version of the game. The speed discrepancy is due to the fact that the game was modified to run on a 50hz console. He's running it on a 60hz console, which speeds it up considerably. If he were to create a 60-50hz switch, he could run it as though it were on its native console.

You can run PAL games on NTSC consoles if it's a Model 2, or if you've disabled the NES10 lockout chip on a model 1 by lifting and grounding Pin 4.
