I don't get why he'd pull some trickery to appear to be keeping his campaign promise, seeing as how he doesn't give a shit about breaking the promises of not having lobbyists in the white house, ending the wars, overturning the patriot act, making legislation public for (2 days?) a set time period before it is voted on so it can be reviewed, decriminalizing medical marijuana, ending corporate bailouts, and.....crap, I'm running out of space here....
I personally think that another reason doctors would be in support of this, is due to the fact that it would probably be almost impossible for them to lose jobs. It would allow them to create giant unions in order to inflate wages so they get paid more (maybe not as much now but more than they would under the plan), have to work less (no incentives to be better), and eventually never get fired while robbing people of jobs. Nice work Dems. I'm ashamed to think I was once one of you.
1. Fox does NOT state that Hannity, Beck, or anyone who is a commentator, that their show is their own personal thoughts or is in noway the news. Fox promotes republican agenda, just search for Rupert Murdoch Iraq war he he says is! I like how you state that people think Fox is bias, but you point the finger instead of providing evidence that it isnt bias. Come up with something new instead of being a Fox News mouth piece.

Actually, all major news corporations in the US are right-wing. There are anchors (like Olbermann and whoever else) that appear left-slanted or are, but it's counter-intuitive for a corporation to be left-wing. The problem with Fox news is that not only do they completely lie all the time, they're also mainly outright racists and bigots. I can't believe they're allowed to be shown on TV. I want to see public executions on national television before I want to see their shit.
Oh i see, so all doctors are money hungry and none of them would support ObamaCare because they feel that no-one deserves to be refused medical treatment based on wealth...
HTWW are you fucking joking? First of all with anitta dun, she also said one of her favorite political philosophers was mother toresea. And I think she meant it in an extract-sort of way, like the emotion he put into what he believes. And we all know where you got your info from, glenn beck/fox news, i was watching too. and with media bias, rachel maddow had a good segmant on why media bias is different when it comes to fox news, check it out. LiberalViewer made a video on it also recently.
Fox News isn't simply biased in it's opinion shows. It's reporters and news programs are so busy sucking up to the GOP that the news programs are frequently wrong in their reports.
I never have gone to high school, nor will I ever attend it.
Your calling my bluff on what?
How would you know what hobbies I do or dont have, I had an enjoyable heated discussion on youtube with someone for half an hour which I learnt alot from, get over it, take youtube for what it is a medium for nerds to act hard :D
Haha you think you are more intelligent and know more about politics than me? Just because you are older than me doesn't mean you know shit all about politics. Please actually try tackling me on an intellectual level rather than stooping to childish insults.
PAHAHAHA, you really are the most retarded, ignorant piece of shit I have ever seen make a comment like that. You call him racist for not agreeing with suppression and then you make a statement like that. Do you not understand what a "commie" is or are you actually mentally inept? Why would a rich white man make jobs for a chinaman? Please actually think before you type next time.
I have heard that it is not working in England but because I have never visited england or used the NHS, I have decided to go with SteveOnYouTube analysis of the NHS since he stated he was english and was satisfied with the NHS. I was trying to tell him I am happy he is satisfied with the NHS but that is England and this is the U.S. I & many are satisfied with our insurance and do not want gov't control of health care because gov't does not have a proven track record with managing expenses.
:O You just don't understand business do you? Why do you think people do not want the OPTION of free health care? Because then the companies making the products will not make as much money. Yes fine, keep your health insurance, but don't starve people who can't afford it just because you are fed lies by the only people who are going to be hit by this plan, the rich! And by the way the NHS is fine, you can buy your own private insurance over here if you want to.
I think i know what i am, and i'm not a commie. Maybe your a marxist as you see everyone as a threat and to be conspiring against you? Maybe you wish to be into the ruling class, but are unable to get there? Fuckin commie.
I don't want to get rid of the full class system, just break them down a bit, so smug cunts like you don't rule. Prick.
the white house says that fox isnt a real news organization. thats okay because obamas administration isnt a real presidential administration in the first place !!!! go watch on here "DEMOCRATS ARE COMMING FOR YOUR HEALTHCARE COVERAGE"
Actually, Hitler WAS a philosopher. Not a very bright one and definitely not a very pleasant one, but a philosopher none the less.
Mao on the other hand was NOT a philosopher. He never came up with nothing new and his sole aim of anything he said was to gain more power for himself. He was constantly changing his mind according to what was most convenient at the moment. If fascism had been the opportune way of gaining power, Mao would have been a fascist.
Do you understand political systems? Do you understand that if ANYTHING Kia-Shek would've been for facism if they lended him power (aka. if the Japanese had befriended Mainland China)? Facism severes control of state communism, it pitches the elite above the weak.
Not only did Mao shape Maoism (there is more than one form of Communism?!?! :o), he wrote SEVERAL philosophical treatises, a highly talented calligrapher with an individualized style, and considered an influential literary figure.
You mean besides my master's in political science?
Mao wrote a lot of things but none of it was philosophy. It was old platitudes from marxist and nationalist thinkers - often contradictory and used at will when it was supporting his desire to gain power.
Mao cared nothing about searching for truth, he was an intellectual midget and very possibly a sociopath as well.
Then why would you push facism with communism? These are both completely opposing train of thought. I would agree that he had basing with the Marxist/Leninist teachings (including dialectic materialism). One of his greatest achievements as a philosopher (in broad terms) was the translation of Marxist philosophy into understandable Chinese, carrying it further in his studies on contradiction in society, among organizations and groups of people, nations and so forth.

Is tortured to death not extreme enough? What Bush & company came up with ways to REALLY, REALLY TORTURE people TOO! Don't be disgusting and deny that. Also Bush is a war criminal so don't play that off. And if Fox was so great, why the hell didn't they report that Bush lied about the very reason he attacked Iraq and that he committed a war crime? If you're worried about deficit, why aren't you calling for a stop to all these illegal wars? Did you EVER talk about if we can afford funding a war?
They didn't report on Bush lying about why he went to war because there isn'y any evidence that's true, just speculation from the left as usual. Just because you liberal freaks throw out insane accusations constantly over and over and over doesn't make it the truth. Ohh, and last I checked Obama is preident and can withdraw troops anytime he wants, instead we are probably going to increase troop levels in Afghanistan and land in Pakistan soon as well.
First of all, why am I getting the down votes, what I wrote was true. Second, it is NOT "speculation" that Bush lied about why he went to war. He claimed that the reason he attacked was because Saddam didn't let the inspectors in! But the FACT is Saddam DID let the inspectors in! That ISN'T speculation, that is simply the FACTS of recent history! Look how the supposedly "liberal" media decided sweep this BIG LIE of his under the rug.
Did you even read what you quoted? Conservative commentators on Fox do acknowledge that they're conservative - all the time. Beck makes that clear nearly every day on his show and so does Hannity. The others are either independents or liberals like Shep Smith. So what were you babbling about again?
If you can't recognize MSNBC as a liberal news operation, then you're delusional.
You quoted something that specifically mentioned conservative commentators, not Fox News in general. Next time read what you quote. And everyone has their biases, but Fox, the news side, provides regular reporting. Just because you have an opinion and you express that opinion, doesn't mean you're not fair and balanced. The fair and balanced part is giving guests on both sides ample opportunity to state their case, which Fox does do.
But that bias isnt towards liberalism or conservatism, its towards corporatism.
All issues framed in terms of the two party system...thus reducing the scope of debate to a narrow spectrum of acceptable ideas....focusing on neutrality, not objectivity
Think about the election. If the media is liberal, why did they marginalize Kucinich? If fox is really conservative, why did they marginalize Ron Paul? cuz neither serves the corporatist agenda.
Because Kucinich and Ron Paul are unelectable nuts, maybe? As for Kucinich, though, I see him on the left wing channels (and on Fox sometimes, too) all the time. Beck, I believe, has had Ron Paul on before. He's also had his son on. What more do you want?
He doesn't love him now, either. He's stated on his show that he disagrees with Paul on certain matters and respects him on others. During the interview with his son, Rand, I think, he said something to the effect of, "You're less extreme than your father...." This is after the election.
Ron Paul is unelectable for many reasons. Let's start with the most obvious. Those newsletters. Remember the newsletters? You're going to run a guy with that in his past against the first black president?
The media would destroy Paul on that note alone. It doesn't matter if he was responsible for them or not, or if they're even worth bringing attention to. The media will spin it however they want to, and it's not going to be in Paul's favor if, god forbid, he got nominated.
And no, Fox News did not shape my opinion of Ron Paul. Ron Paul shaped my opinion of Ron Paul. I don't like his foreign policy and I hate how he panders to the conspiracy kooks in his base.
His popularity increased after that note...cuz unlike other politicians...people believe him
Ok, then just admit that you arent a constitutional conservative...
cuz agree or disagree, his positions are consistent with the constitution...
and if fox news was at all interested in conservatism or the constitution...they wouldnt be calling positions consistent with the constitution "radical"
fox, like all corporate media, are bias towards corporations, not the public interest
LOL, and what proof do you have that his popularity improved after those racial newsletters were uncovered? That doesn't seem to likely to me. Paul isn't a very honest guy, either. A woman came up to him and asked why he hadn't done anything to expose teh TROOTH about 9/11, and you know what he said? His answer was basically that the politics in Washington are preventing him from speaking out and exposing the truth. If he really does believe in that nonsense, that response is cowardly.
also, would the liberal media (msnbc) use psy-ops and put on the "pentagon pundits" (look it up) to cheerlead for a war if they werent controlled by a defense contractor that had a massive stake in sending us to war?
MSNBC's Keith Olbermann got on TV and denigrated George Bush, the war, and everything else associated with him every night for as long as he's been on. To top it all off, he's in primetime. If what you say is correct, the higher ups at MSNBC/GE would've had him booted along time ago.
thus they asserted the opposite, that the media was liberal...
the evidence...that the majority of journalists are dems...
its like saying that the workers on the factory floor determine what the design of the car is going to be...
it changes the conversation from, is the media objective or are the dominated by corporate interests?
to...the blanket unevidenced statement that the media is liberal. asserting the opposite forces one to deal with bs before they can ever really analyze..
Why do Democrats recite the same stale idiocies over and over, and over yet again?
Democrats are a toxic farce. Their politics don't appeal to reason, but rather are proselytized. And through whatever fraud, obfuscation, hoax, or other deception serves them best at the moment.
"There has been comment upon my contribution to Democrats like Senator Kerry. Senator Kerry is a good man. I've known him for many years. But it happens that I vote for Viacom. Viacom is my life, and I do believe that a Republican administration is better for media companies than a Democratic one."
-Sumner Redstone CEO Viacom - Time Magazine 10/4/04
realnarutoboy, the media DID marginalize Kucinich. NBC DISINVITED him from a debate he was supposed to be in for example, that would have been the highest level of exposure he would have gotten in the campaign and NBC robbed the public of it. ABC went as far as deceiving the primary voters into thinking Obama was the ONLY Dem candidate against the Iraq war from the start, this was done by Stephanopoulos telling viewers that of the top candidates, ONLY Obama was against the war from the start!!
then do some research and find out where the whole idea of the "liberal bias" came from...
During the 80's and 90's business interests began funding think tanks like Heritige etc...
In an effort to move a somewhat consolodated media even more to the right...they argued for more consolidation under corporate ownership and most importantly...
they asserted the opposite about the very nature of corporate owned media...tbc
All corporation are in business to maximize their stakeholders' profit; FOX, MSNBC are no different in that sense. On the news side FOX and MSNBC are unbias, they report and we decide. They are different in commentary because FOX leans right and MSNBC leans left. I prefer FOX because their analyst is based on Fact not emotions such as MSNBC. I use watch Oberman but grew tired of his higher than thou attitude and faulty analysis of events. He actually was the one to direct me to O'reilly.
After sitting thru many of Oberman's insults of FOX news. I decided to check it out. Once I discovered FOX, It became my favorite news channel. I did still watch MSNBC's Abram and Joe but stop watching once Abram went off the air and replaced by Maddow (can't take her either) and Joe moved to mornings.
I actually find it pretty funny that the GOP has become some delusional and paranoid. And can't stop themselves from making much ado about nothing. It's a real shame, too. They are going to get schooled again in 2010. By 2012, I doubt the GOP or conservative movement will have anymore than 20% power.
You're the one that's delusional if you actually think the GOP will get "schooled" in 2010.
Just please remember - your delusions and apparent ignorance of what's actually going on in this country will lead to the Democrats demonize in 2010. :-)
I think you have to be a dimwitt to see the world in such black and white terms. Hitler is one of my favorite political philosophers to study, does that mean I'm a nazi? lol. I said Hitler, omg I'm a nazi!.. That's about how stupid this Glenn Beck shit is.
Ok let me explain for the profoundly stupid. I thought the war in Iraq was a bad idea, I don't believe in the idea of pre-emptive war and exporting democracy. I'm aligned with Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich on that. However, now that were in the war, I don't want the U.S.A to lose a war and have our soldiers get killed simply so I can save face and make George Bush look bad. No, that would be very republican of me. I hoped George Bush was right about exporting democracy with little cost.
How come Fox news doesn't talk about the fact that When Obama got into office there was a catastrophy he inherited from G.W.B. and when G.W.B. was elected, during this same time period he came into a presidency with a balanced budget and a surplus of money in the treasury. I think he was already taking his first vacation by this point. The organization is clearly against this president no matter what he does, he's a democrat. Fox news if nothing else is a partisan organization.
lol, it's like he goes and tries to get the olympics and he fails so they boo him. He wins the nobel prize out of the blue, and they boo him. Whether he wins or loses they do want him to fail and thats just really pathetic and sad. As much as I didn't like George Bush from the beggining, I wanted his goals to succeed at least, I didn't want him to loose the war in Iraq or anything like that. It's called, Loyal opposition, you don't see a whole lot of that on the right.
Well, we weren't in two wars that have been going on almost twice as long as WW2 and the economy wasn't collapsing was it. I've heard the arguments about Clinton and frankly it's been a corrupt system for a long time, but Bush W. drove the bus into the ditch. There was a surplus of money when he got there, the housing crisis probably would have happened anyway, at least we wouldn't have been bogged down in pointless wars on top of it had Bush not been the "Decider".
Fox news does have elements of journalism involved but it's not unbias news that just tells you the story. It tells you stories alright, If you turned on Fox news during a time when theres two wars going on, and theres major battles with U.S causulties happening, chances are you won't see it on Fox news, especially if George W. Bush is president, that would make him look bad, no they'll just run some more crap about Bill Ayers or Acorn. And this is news? It's selective news.
Obamacare.. pff.. geez do just like copy and paste the republican phrases and talking points from fox news to your video titles? The White house is just behind in catching up to what most clear minded people who aren't driven by their darkest fears already know. Fox news and Msnbc's opinion shows are not news. NBC's news part of the news is more news like however. The Mao thing is the perfect example why Fox news is propoganda, lol, you really think Anita Dunn idolizes Mao? she said Mao.
What got us here? Democracy. It's literally the tragedy of the commons applied to the government. It's morally outrageous that citizens can essentially vote to put people in power who promise special interest groups bigger budgets, more money, and more power. What happened to 'life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?"
Also, please tell me the last time you heard Noam Chomsky, Ralph Nader, or Dennis Kucinich on any mainstream news organization? That is the liberal left, and they are almost never given the opportunity to speak on mainstream news shows. At least Ron Paul has the chance to be heard, which more then easily satisfies the voice of the conservative and libertarian viewer.
Go read up on the term concision, and how it applies to mainstream media news shows.
I love how you assume all left or liberal affiliated people don't think that all mainstream media is biased. Wild speculation will get you no where. All mainstream news organizations are for the most part crap, because none of them give us substantive news, and instead ramble on with comments and conclusions that reinforce status quo. This goes for Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and on and on.
The state run media "realizes" Fox isn't a venue for honest journalism? Ah and I guess that is why viewers are flocking to Fox in droves - for that non news and dishonest journalism.
You're despicable for even defending the fact that her favorite philosopher is Mao Tse Tung. This is ridiculous.
Flocking to Fox in droves? What proof do you have of this, other than Fox's mantra "We are the number one news network"? Fox is nothing but shoddy yellow journalism. And no, I don't think CNN and MSNBC are any better.
Oh, I'm despicable? I happen to disagree with practically every one of Mao's ideas.
It's pretty difficult for me to take you seriously when you have a name like realnarutoboy.
The fact that a lot of their shows beat both MSNBC and CNN combined. They trounce the competition nearly every day and night. Stop living in dream land. They don't have that motto for no reason.
I don't need to look at your name to know to not take you seriously. The stuff you say let's me know that.
Are you serious? The O'Reilly Factor has remained number one for years. It's the highest rated show in that timeslot for cable news, and it's always at the top of the list of all shows on TV period. The Glenn Beck show is dominating. Hannity's show dominates. Greta's show dominates. Regular Fox News, not commentary, dominates. You can go to any industry media site (tvbythenumbers, mediaite) and see the stats for yourself.
uhhhh, i would argue Mao is worse than Hitler. It takes a lunatic to kill a group of people, but it takes an even bigger lunatic to make that group his own people.
That's absolutely right. A left-winger seems to think that he/she is always correct. That's why they can't take criticism; they just cry and get all pissed off. Conservatives expect it.
So who's he quoting, the guy who actually quoted Mao, which would be Lee Atwater, a republican? By the way, the majority of doctors favor a public option. It's like 60%. The docs are sick of having to deal with insurance red tape. They spend something like 30-40% trying to get the insurance co's to pay. That's why single payer works in other countries and saves so much money. This guys an idiot.
What proof do you have that Lee Atwater quoted him? Secondly, what does quoting someone have to do with another person thinking of Mao as their favorite political philosopher, if that's what you were comparing it to.
Britain's deficit is the highest it's been since World War 2 due in large part to it's medical system. Single payer health care is the noblest cause undertaken in the past fifty years in the USA, but we simply can't afford it... at least not until we fix our own deficit.
Great video; went to my dentist today to get my annual exam; I have Delta Dental Ins; his waiting room was full of medicare/welfare patients; he told me that medicare payments just went down 4.5% which means either he's providing free dental care or at cost or no profit; you libs understand that profit is good; most dentists are small business operators that have to meet payroll. Keep Liberty and Freedom strong........
this isn't an increase of the budget. this is a stay on the budget in the amount of $250 over ten years. the budget will always increase as the need for it increases. how does it necessarily create a larger deficit in the budget, when something else can be cut to balance it out? or did you not bother see what he planned to cut in order to prevent that increase?
"Some of their commentary shows are extremely critical of obama?" Every damn story is an attack on the left! And the quote was taken out of context from a joke.
Well let's see. The quote was something along the lines of "fight your own war", used at a high school graduation. You think she meant that literally, as in a militant war?
Do you really believe Anita Dunn's political philosophy is to shoot her enemies in the head? Come on, get real.
I'm not talking about the quote. I'm talking about the fact that she called him her favorite political philosopher. That's the part you seem to be missing.
Let's have a Republican come out and say my FAVORITE political philosopher is Adolf Hitler and see what happens. I doubt you or anyone else would be making excuses for that person. Or how about, my favorite political philosopher is Osama? You can find statements that you agree from anybody. Doesn't mean you consider him your favorite.
So you would be fine with someone in government thinking of Osama bin Laden as their favorite political philosopher? Or Timothy McVeigh?
Yeah, right. The reaction to this would be totally different if the parties were reversed, and if the people were more notable for their atrocious acts.
I do agree with you on 1776 though. Very glad that got voted down. These politicians have to make the health care bill (especially how it gets funded) transparent, or it just isn't going to work.
UHHHHHHHHHHHH "conservatives recognize they are listening to slanted commentary but liberals don't"
nice sweeping generalization. Yeah, Fox news (the highest rated news network) covers things the "mainstream" media doesn't... like tea parties (but not gay rights marches with the same number of people)
And their defense of Anita Dunn's criticism of their bias is not to actually prove her wrong, but to make a nice ad hominem argument and go after her character. Fantastic.
Beck has given her ample opportunity to correct any mistakes he makes, live on his show. She should either do so or stop smearing Fox News. The fact that there are people in our administration who admire Mao should scare you. If this were a Republican and they said this about Hitler instead of Mao, he'd be run out of the country.
"she should either correct her mistakes live on Glenn Beck's show or stop smearing Fox News"
nice to see you buying right into that ad hominem.
And why should I be scared? Suspicious, maybe, but it's absurd to think that because the communications director quoted Mao, that the government will start employing his methods. They haven't so far. We just have to be vigilant and logical. We cannot support Glenn Beck in his everlasting witch hunt.
I heard her, but she also cracked a joke about it, and has since said she was attempting to be ironic. I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.
Regardless, what do you suggest we do? She has committed no crime. She has done nothing to suggest that she actually follows Mao's "teachings".
What joke? She recognized the absurdity of putting Mao and Mother Theresa together in the same sentence. How does that erase the fact that she said she considers those two to be her favorite political philosophers. I believe she said it about Mao and Mother Theresa. Was she joking about her adoration for her, too?
She is in the government. Her favorite political philosopher, according to her OWN words, is Mao. Calling someone your favorite political philosopher implies that you like their ideas, and since she cites him, his words have obviously rubbed off on her. Why would she not try and employ his ideas? She basically just admitted that her ideology is inspired by his.
I don't know, you tell me. The point is, she hasn't. As I said, simply be vigilant. If she actually DOES something to silence freedom of speech (which she hasn't by criticizing Fox News), THEN you will have a basis to want her out of government. As it stands now, she has done nothing wrong.
Unfortunately it's not illegal for a public servant to personally identify with an ideology that supports robbing every single citizen of a country as if they are an unintelligent object ;( So if someone says that to you, the next question is, "okay, regardless of whether or not a crime has taken place, why would anyone vote for this dumb b*tch?"
Yeah, freedom of speech really is unfortunate, isn't it? And isn't it a shame that you don't get to vote for white house communications director?
Just look at what she does. She's the communications director. So other than put out pro-government propaganda, she has very, very little power. It's not like she has control over anything significant. It's not like she's trying to silence dissent.
Judging by her actions thus far, I'm willing to believe that she was, in fact, being ironical.
Freedom of speech? I don't think it's unfortunate. Too bad some people do and wish to target any non-left media out there, maybe you've heard wind of this, but not if you watch any of the major-left media, a little thing called the fairness doctrine. And I see a lot of political American culture and youth culture in the US turning into these ideas of self-hate and constant reprieve among the rest of the world. And you're saying that if she wasn't being ironic, then there IS something wrong?
Yeah Fox News is all about the Fairness Doctrine, right? Don't confuse me for someone who doesn't recognize bias when they see it, and that includes what goes on CNN and NBC. And nobody is trying to take Fox News off the air, only to admit that they are, in fact, totally slanted to the right when the claim to be "fair and balanced."
I'm saying if she wasn't being ironic, her life's work would show it. It hasn't. For the most part, I try to judge politicians on what they do, not what they say.
We should not have people that consider Mao their favorite political philosopher in government. Regular citizens can admire whoever they want. But having someone in government who admires someone with a political agenda that opposed to our own is dangerous.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
This is getting boring, you keep saying the same thing. Why can't the White House Communications Director like Mao (regardless of whether she actually does)? If anything, the diversity of opinions in the White House makes for a more robust debate, and therefore a stronger overall standing. It's obvious she doesn't support his more militaristic views. She is far from "dangerous." You're going right along with the McCarthy-esque witch hunt. If anything, your school of thinking is the real danger.
I like McCarthy, actually. He was proven to be right about a lot of the things he said. So I'll take that as a compliment. :-)
You can't have people that are directly opposed to America's foundational policies in American government. If their side wins, we won't be able to have that robust debate anymore.
Fox is being good now that Obama is in office, but lets not pretend they were "fair and balanced"during the Bush years. This game goes round and round. Continuing the right vs. left paradigm.
now watch what you commentators say you dont want lee censoring you for using your freedom of speech which i thought was an aerican birth right but obviously lee is unamerican and a douche gimp
Even knowing that they would have a reduction in Medicare, most doctors do not support Obama and the Dems. Also, the AMA does not represent anymore than 30% or less of doctors. After this business with Obamacare the AMA will be even less.
Lee one reason America isnt in an uproar over Anita Dunn is if you asked 1,000 who Mao is i bet 500 could tell you anything another 200 would be wrong and the most of the 300 would have limited correct knowledge.... So how can Americans be made if Mao and Confucius are the same in there eyes... sad but true
I think some doctors support Obamacare also because if someone comes into a hospital for treatment, they cannot turn them away, whether they can pay or not. So, doctors see people who can't pay at all. With Obamacare, they'll still get paid something, even if it doesn't cover their costs.
ACORN...liars just like Obama. They're all liars. That's all they know how to do other than steal out tax dollars and give them to losers... Obama can't separate himself from ACORN, George Soros, the Bilderbergs, the Sandlers, Chicago politics, lies, deception, the NWO, selling out this nation, apologizing for our nation, bowing to world leaders, giving into dictators...and the list goes on.
Obama is a disgrace to this nation. OBAMA...THE GREAT LIAR! LOSER!
Correction Lee, not ALL liberals view everything on MSNBC, CNN, and other stations as completely objective. There are plenty of us who realize that Keith Olberman is incredibly biased, just in the same way Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reailly, and Glenn Beck are as well.
You've just chosen to pay attention to a set of biased individuals who refuse to acknowledged what I've just mentioned. That in itself is slimey, and an attempt to get political points.
I like Fox News....the only reason I watch HLN in the morning is because of Robin Meade and Jennifer Westhoven.....If they made the move to Fox News, I'd be a full-time Fox watcher.....(heh, I made a funny)....
I am starting to think there are a little too many globalist pukes on here who just want America to have to pay more in taxes and cost of living for global competition..too many snake oil salesmen here who ignore facts yet claim to live in those places.
Hey, Lee... You are wrong man.- You cannot compare Hitler to Mao. Hitlers' call to fame was not taking the world to war or causing the death of about 30 million Europeans. It is he killed several million Jews and as we know some people are more special than others. Mao killing 70 Million Chinese or Stalin killing 40 plus million Eurasians are not on the same scale. Let us be objective about this. Also, the current Islamic government of Sudan killed about 6 millions blacks in 25 yrs.
My point is that Mao, Che, Stalin, Lenin, Castro, Chavez and even Omar Bashir are cool as long as they did not murder Jews or Muslims because they are more special than every one else because they will never let you forget it. Honestly, you cannot fault them for their permanently aggrieved stance and their exploitation of their people's tragedies. I fault the Western conscious which is highly selective on what it considers worthy of remembrance.
What.. I have slain the sacred cow by pointing out the White Elephant in the room which is that mass murders are not judged by the scale of their atrocities, but their choice of victims. Assuming error correction needs an ulterior motive, let's flip this around: What did it accomplish to insinuate that he had been fired when you either knew that he hadn't, or you didn't know at all? Whatever it was, my comment accomplished the opposite.
Wreddon already addressed your other points so why should I reiterate what he said? Besides Fox still hosts Colmes (his radio show, & possibly his own weekend show). and routinely invite him, Beckel, Williams, Powers, Liasson, etc, on.
what points? what are you talking about? we where discussing fox news dishonesty in using the "fair & balanced" moto, although most people in the country freely admit they're producing points from a conservative perspective.
"Assuming error correction needs an ulterior motive"

Anita Dunn insulted Mother Theresa by just mention Mao in the same sentence, Dunn may have read the RED BOOK but she is too ignorant to acknowledge the atrocities that Mao commited against his own peoples.
The fascists get their foot in the door by first growing another Ponzi scheme-based entitlement program (Medicare), so now they can set/change doctor's pay rates (reimbursements) thereunder, if, as and whenever they want to coerce doctors into bending to the latest federal mandate for more fascist takeover of more medical industry. That in addition to the barbed hook effect of the entitlement program itself.
in response to the mao issue, well.... admittedly most philosophers partook in questionable practices despite their "brilliance." the greeks (including plato) were pederasts, heidegger was a nazi, medieval philosophers condoned the procedures for "castratis." their philosophies however, resonate even to modern times. not trying to defend mao, but perhaps certain "ideas" have been labeled as brilliant even if the philosopher themselves were questionable.
Mao said that political power grows through the barrel of a gun. Is that why conservatives and libertarians bring guns to political rallies? Seems they should re-evaluate their own philosophies...
That said - there are a lot of different angles to Mao's "philosophy". If you can't understand that then there's no point in even debating the matter.

MigDanskeren 2 years ago 2
Do you understand political systems? Do you understand that if ANYTHING Kia-Shek would've been for facism if they lended him power (aka. if the Japanese had befriended Mainland China)? Facism severes control of state communism, it pitches the elite above the weak.
Not only did Mao shape Maoism (there is more than one form of Communism?!?! :o), he wrote SEVERAL philosophical treatises, a highly talented calligrapher with an individualized style, and considered an influential literary figure.
CcGameDKR 2 years ago
"Do you understand political systems?"
MigDanskeren 2 years ago

Did you EVER talk about if we can afford funding a war?
representativepress 2 years ago
They didn't report on Bush lying about why he went to war because there isn'y any evidence that's true, just speculation from the left as usual. Just because you liberal freaks throw out insane accusations constantly over and over and over doesn't make it the truth. Ohh, and last I checked Obama is preident and can withdraw troops anytime he wants, instead we are probably going to increase troop levels in Afghanistan and land in Pakistan soon as well.
darkshadow728 2 years ago 3
First of all, why am I getting the down votes, what I wrote was true. Second, it is NOT "speculation" that Bush lied about why he went to war. He claimed that the reason he attacked was because Saddam didn't let the inspectors in! But the FACT is Saddam DID let the inspectors in! SOME doctors?
The majority of doctors support a public option.
"When people watch conservative commentary (Fox news) they acknowledge they are watching it"
Bullshit. Fox dosent even acknowledge it with their constant mantra of fair and balanced. And their viewers repeat their mantra..
Im on the left and i dont think any corporate owned news org is liberal or conservative...they are corporatists. GE is a defense contractor, idiots
You dont know shit about how the world works
EnhancementSmoker 2 years ago
Did you even read what you quoted? Conservative commentators on Fox do acknowledge that they're conservative - all the time. Beck makes that clear nearly every day on his show and so does Hannity. The others are either independents or liberals like Shep Smith. So what were you babbling about again?
If you can't recognize MSNBC as a liberal news operation, then you're delusional.
realnarutoboy 2 years ago 2
im saying that fox news, channel in general, does not acknowledge that they are a partisan organization.
Hannity does acknowledge hes a conservative, and yet at the same time he argues that his show and the channel, as a whole are fair and balanced.
MSNBC is a corporatist org whos parent company is a defense contractor. Where were they in the run up to the Iraq war?
If you wanna know what a liberal news show looks like, watch democracy now...
EnhancementSmoker 2 years ago
You quoted something that specifically mentioned conservative commentators, not Fox News in general. Next time read what you quote. And everyone has their biases, but Fox, the news side, provides regular reporting. Just because you have an opinion and you express that opinion, doesn't mean you're not fair and balanced. The fair and balanced part is giving guests on both sides ample opportunity to state their case, which Fox does do.
realnarutoboy 2 years ago 2
All corporate media has a bias...
EnhancementSmoker 2 years ago
Because Kucinich and Ron Paul are unelectable nuts, maybe? As for Kucinich, though, I see him on the left wing channels (and on Fox sometimes, too) all the time. Beck, I believe, has had Ron Paul on before. He's also had his son on. What more do you want?
realnarutoboy 2 years ago
Beck called him crazy during the election, and now he "loves" him...
why do you think they are unelectable nuts?
could it be that during the election, fox, when discussing Ron Paul, constantly marginalized him...
im not saying he is or isnt electable by the american public...
But i am saying that he was really the only true conservative republican candidate, and ur crazy if you couldnt see the way fox marginilized him...
its clear fox isnt conservative, they are corporatists
EnhancementSmoker 2 years ago
He doesn't love him now, either. He's stated on his show that he disagrees with Paul on certain matters and respects him on others. During the interview with his son, Rand, I think, he said something to the effect of, "You're less extreme than your father...." This is after the election.
Ron Paul is unelectable for many reasons. Let's start with the most obvious. Those newsletters. Remember the newsletters? You're going to run a guy with that in his past against the first black president?
realnarutoboy 2 years ago
The media would destroy Paul on that note alone. It doesn't matter if he was responsible for them or not, or if they're even worth bringing attention to. The media will spin it however they want to, and it's not going to be in Paul's favor if, god forbid, he got nominated.
And no, Fox News did not shape my opinion of Ron Paul. Ron Paul shaped my opinion of Ron Paul. I don't like his foreign policy and I hate how he panders to the conspiracy kooks in his base.
realnarutoboy 2 years ago
His popularity increased after that note...cuz unlike other politicians...people believe him
Ok, then just admit that you arent a constitutional conservative...
cuz agree or disagree, his positions are consistent with the constitution...
and if fox news was at all interested in conservatism or the constitution...they wouldnt be calling positions consistent with the constitution "radical"
fox, like all corporate media, are bias towards corporations, not the public interest
EnhancementSmoker 2 years ago
LOL, and what proof do you have that his popularity improved after those racial newsletters were uncovered? That doesn't seem to likely to me. Paul isn't a very honest guy, either. A woman came up to him and asked why he hadn't done anything to expose teh TROOTH about 9/11, and you know what he said? His answer was basically that the politics in Washington are preventing him from speaking out and exposing the truth. If he really does believe in that nonsense, that response is cowardly.
realnarutoboy 2 years ago
also, would the liberal media (msnbc) use psy-ops and put on the "pentagon pundits" (look it up) to cheerlead for a war if they werent controlled by a defense contractor that had a massive stake in sending us to war?
EnhancementSmoker 2 years ago
MSNBC's Keith Olbermann got on TV and denigrated George Bush, the war, and everything else associated with him every night for as long as he's been on. To top it all off, he's in primetime. If what you say is correct, the higher ups at MSNBC/GE would've had him booted along time ago.
realnarutoboy 2 years ago
Denigrate? Nice Oreilly word. The war policy (not our troops) should be denigrated...its a disaster...
While Olbermann did go after Bush, he really provided a rather superficial analysis of the Iraq war...
You have to read books, and actual journalism to find out what went on there...and its more shocking than any report Olberman did..
Donohue was the only true anti-war voice on the air on MSNBC and he was fired...

the evidence...that the majority of journalists are dems...
its like saying that the workers on the factory floor determine what the design of the car is going to be...

EnhancementSmoker 2 years ago

Wolffanator 2 years ago
Ok let me explain for the profoundly stupid. I thought the war in Iraq was a bad idea, I don't believe in the idea of pre-emptive war and exporting democracy. I'm aligned with Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich on that. However, now that were in the war, I don't want the U.S.A to lose a war and have our soldiers get killed simply so I can save face and make George Bush look bad. No, that would be very republican of me. I hoped George Bush was right about exporting democracy with little cost.
Wolffanator 2 years ago
How come Fox news doesn't talk about the fact that When Obama got into office there was a catastrophy he inherited from G.W.B. and when G.W.B. was elected, during this same time period he came into a presidency with a balanced budget and a surplus of money in the treasury. I think he was already taking his first vacation by this point. The organization is clearly against this president no matter what he does, he's a democrat. Fox news if nothing else is a partisan organization.

The stuff you say let's me know that.
realnarutoboy 2 years ago
What shows? I've seen one show of theirs after another get canceled due to low viewership.
loqutor 2 years ago

SolidSnakeEater123 2 years ago
That's absolutely right. A left-winger seems to think that he/she is always correct. That's why they can't take criticism; they just cry and get all pissed off. Conservatives expect it.

So who's he quoting, the guy who actually quoted Mao, which would be Lee Atwater, a republican? By the way, the majority of doctors favor a public option. It's like 60%. The docs are sick of having to deal with insurance red tape. They spend something like 30-40% trying to get the insurance co's to pay. That's why single payer works in other countries and saves so much money. This guys an idiot.

pschesi - Did you know that 68% of all stats are made up?
HarrisonCountyStudio 2 years ago
What proof do you have that Lee Atwater quoted him? Secondly, what does quoting someone have to do with another person thinking of Mao as their favorite political philosopher, if that's what you were comparing it to.
realnarutoboy 2 years ago

Kiefosaur 2 years ago
How was it taken out of context?
realnarutoboy 2 years ago
Well let's see. The quote was something along the lines of "fight your own war", used at a high school graduation. You think she meant that literally, as in a militant war?
Do you really believe Anita Dunn's political philosophy is to shoot her enemies in the head? Come on, get real.
KornWasCool 2 years ago
I'm not talking about the quote. I'm talking about the fact that she called him her favorite political philosopher. That's the part you seem to be missing.
Let's have a Republican come out and say my FAVORITE political philosopher is Adolf Hitler and see what happens. I doubt you or anyone else would be making excuses for that person. Or how about, my favorite political philosopher is Osama? You can find statements that you agree from anybody. Doesn't mean you consider him your favorite.
realnarutoboy 2 years ago
Perhaps he is a "favorite" because he best helps illustrate a point? A point that a lot of people could learn from.
Mao seemed to be one of Andy Warhol's favorite subjects. Did this mean Andy Warhol went around shooting people in the head?
ZippyTiDooDa 2 years ago
So you would be fine with someone in government thinking of Osama bin Laden as their favorite political philosopher? Or Timothy McVeigh?
Yeah, right. The reaction to this would be totally different if the parties were reversed, and if the people were more notable for their atrocious acts.
realnarutoboy 2 years ago
I do agree with you on 1776 though. Very glad that got voted down. These politicians have to make the health care bill (especially how it gets funded) transparent, or it just isn't going to work.
KornWasCool 2 years ago
UHHHHHHHHHHHH "conservatives recognize they are listening to slanted commentary but liberals don't"
nice sweeping generalization. Yeah, Fox news (the highest rated news network) covers things the "mainstream" media doesn't... like tea parties (but not gay rights marches with the same number of people)
And their defense of Anita Dunn's criticism of their bias is not to actually prove her wrong, but to make a nice ad hominem argument and go after her character. Fantastic.
KornWasCool 2 years ago
Ha, Whether its Fox covering Tea parties of CNN covering gay rights marches...they're both covering tea baggers.

Beck has given her ample opportunity to correct any mistakes he makes, live on his show. She should either do so or stop smearing Fox News. The fact that there are people in our administration who admire Mao should scare you. If this were a Republican and they said this about Hitler instead of Mao, he'd be run out of the country.
realnarutoboy 2 years ago
"she should either correct her mistakes live on Glenn Beck's show or stop smearing Fox News"
nice to see you buying right into that ad hominem.
And why should I be scared? Suspicious, maybe, but it's absurd to think that because the communications director quoted Mao, that the government will start employing his methods. They haven't so far. We just have to be vigilant and logical. We cannot support Glenn Beck in his everlasting witch hunt.
KornWasCool 2 years ago
Stop saying she just quoted him. She called him her favorite political philosopher. Did you miss that, or are you just purposely ignoring facts?
realnarutoboy 2 years ago
I heard her, but she also cracked a joke about it, and has since said she was attempting to be ironic. I'm willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.
Regardless, what do you suggest we do? She has committed no crime. She has done nothing to suggest that she actually follows Mao's "teachings".
KornWasCool 2 years ago
What joke? She recognized the absurdity of putting Mao and Mother Theresa together in the same sentence. How does that erase the fact that she said she considers those two to be her favorite political philosophers. I believe she said it about Mao and Mother Theresa. Was she joking about her adoration for her, too?
realnarutoboy 2 years ago
She is in the government. Her favorite political philosopher, according to her OWN words, is Mao. Calling someone your favorite political philosopher implies that you like their ideas, and since she cites him, his words have obviously rubbed off on her. Why would she not try and employ his ideas? She basically just admitted that her ideology is inspired by his.
realnarutoboy 2 years ago
"Why would she not try to employ his ideas?"
I don't know, you tell me. The point is, she hasn't. As I said, simply be vigilant. If she actually DOES something to silence freedom of speech (which she hasn't by criticizing Fox News), THEN you will have a basis to want her out of government. As it stands now, she has done nothing wrong.
KornWasCool 2 years ago
Unfortunately it's not illegal for a public servant to personally identify with an ideology that supports robbing every single citizen of a country as if they are an unintelligent object ;( So if someone says that to you, the next question is, "okay, regardless of whether or not a crime has taken place, why would anyone vote for this dumb b*tch?"
Tripo1iSamson 2 years ago
Yeah, freedom of speech really is unfortunate, isn't it? And isn't it a shame that you don't get to vote for white house communications director?
Just look at what she does. She's the communications director. So other than put out pro-government propaganda, she has very, very little power. It's not like she has control over anything significant. It's not like she's trying to silence dissent.
Judging by her actions thus far, I'm willing to believe that she was, in fact, being ironical.
KornWasCool 2 years ago
Freedom of speech? I don't think it's unfortunate. Too bad some people do and wish to target any non-left media out there, maybe you've heard wind of this, but not if you watch any of the major-left media, a little thing called the fairness doctrine. And I see a lot of political American culture and youth culture in the US turning into these ideas of self-hate and constant reprieve among the rest of the world. And you're saying that if she wasn't being ironic, then there IS something wrong?
Tripo1iSamson 2 years ago
Yeah Fox News is all about the Fairness Doctrine, right? Don't confuse me for someone who doesn't recognize bias when they see it, and that includes what goes on CNN and NBC. And nobody is trying to take Fox News off the air, only to admit that they are, in fact, totally slanted to the right when the claim to be "fair and balanced."
I'm saying if she wasn't being ironic, her life's work would show it. It hasn't. For the most part, I try to judge politicians on what they do, not what they say.
KornWasCool 2 years ago
We should not have people that consider Mao their favorite political philosopher in government. Regular citizens can admire whoever they want. But having someone in government who admires someone with a political agenda that opposed to our own is dangerous.
realnarutoboy 2 years ago
Well said.

KornWasCool 2 years ago
I like McCarthy, actually. He was proven to be right about a lot of the things he said. So I'll take that as a compliment. :-)
You can't have people that are directly opposed to America's foundational policies in American government. If their side wins, we won't be able to have that robust debate anymore.

So how can Americans be made if Mao and Confucius are the same in there eyes... sad but true
buffalobadass 2 years ago 3
I think some doctors support Obamacare also because if someone comes into a hospital for treatment, they cannot turn them away, whether they can pay or not. So, doctors see people who can't pay at all. With Obamacare, they'll still get paid something, even if it doesn't cover their costs.

Also, the current Islamic government of Sudan killed about 6 millions blacks in 25 yrs.
ibmsony101 2 years ago
My point is that Mao, Che, Stalin, Lenin, Castro, Chavez and even Omar Bashir are cool as long as they did not murder Jews or Muslims because they are more special than every one else because they will never let you forget it. Honestly, you cannot fault them for their permanently aggrieved stance and their exploitation of their people's tragedies. I fault the Western conscious which is highly selective on what it considers worthy of remembrance.

so what? colmes left hannity&colmes and there is no liberal perspective on fox now. how does your comment in any way contribute to the discussion?
franzpolak 2 years ago
Assuming error correction needs an ulterior motive, let's flip this around: What did it accomplish to insinuate that he had been fired when you either knew that he hadn't, or you didn't know at all? Whatever it was, my comment accomplished the opposite.
Wreddon already addressed your other points so why should I reiterate what he said? Besides Fox still hosts Colmes (his radio show, & possibly his own weekend show). and routinely invite him, Beckel, Williams, Powers, Liasson, etc, on.
NobodyImportant2008 2 years ago
what points? what are you talking about? we where discussing fox news dishonesty in using the "fair & balanced" moto, although most people in the country freely admit they're producing points from a conservative perspective.

MERCILESS political hustlers.
That in addition to the barbed hook effect of the entitlement program itself.

in response to the mao issue, well.... admittedly most philosophers partook in questionable practices despite their "brilliance." the greeks (including plato) were pederasts, heidegger was a nazi, medieval philosophers condoned the procedures for "castratis." their philosophies however, resonate even to modern times. not trying to defend mao, but perhaps certain "ideas" have been labeled as brilliant even if the philosopher themselves were questionable.
xblindx 2 years ago
Mao said that political power grows through the barrel of a gun. Is that why conservatives and libertarians bring guns to political rallies? Seems they should re-evaluate their own philosophies...
That said - there are a lot of different angles to Mao's "philosophy". If you can't understand that then there's no point in even debating the matter.
