Ahmadinejad never said there are no gays in iran. He said that homosexuality isn't as frequent as it is in the West.

True I agree with that regarding pictures and executions which are not officially portrayed with actual homosexuality in Iran. However there some available in news reports, etc.

Many Iranian gays/lesbians keep it a secret, and are not out flaunting their lifestyle (fear of government & fear of being rejected by their families, etc.). So, it appears that it is more prevelant in the WEST only because people here are not afraid of showing who they are. Anyways, no government or person should ever harm anyone due to their lifestyle even if we don't agree with it. Love and compassion is #1.
