Y not do a real test like a Netflix test ... not these rediculous speedtest that show nothing to let us see now the phone behaves when doing something real like watching netflix
Vzn purchased the, most spectrum when it first became available when analog tv was first going digital. Everyone else gets the leftover LTE; verizon's will only get faster and larger.
@wirefly. Someone told me the reason Verizon lte is faster is cause of the amount of 4g phones they have released Ave say once they start getting more phones out the speed will slow is this true? Plus sprint is supposed to be going towards lte right?
@tenser626 The more devices you have running on a network, the less bandwidth there is for each device. That's the theory and people said that was the reason why Verizon's LTE was faster than Sprint's WiMax. But the reality is that there are probably as many 4G Verizon phones (maybe more!) than Sprint WiMax phones. Verizon still has better speed.
Yes, Sprint is beginning to build an LTE network - it's a ways off at this point.
Did you stop using the Speedtest. net application? I find it to be more accurate. I get 10 mbps download on my Evo 4G but mostly between 5 & 8 on average in the Greensboro/W-S, NC area.
@MusicVideoJunkie33 I prefer to use CNET's bandwidth meter when possible, because it uses the phone's web browser. Most people use the Internet with the phone's web browser, so that feels like a more realistic test to me. I find that speed test apps give me measurements that are MUCH higher... I'm a little skeptical about them.
@wirefly Thanks Bob. I just used the speakeasy. net speed test and you're right it does work better. I'm still getting really good download speeds. I hit 10.12 mbps download last night. I'm still averaging between 5 & 8.
Bob - thank you for the prompt reply. Wanted to try it on my ReZound in my area. Thanks for the info.
Btw, I know due to your work you must remain impartial considering all phones, but we all know Androids rule ;) iPhone still reluctant to run Flash is lame.
@MrAjayS99 This isn't an app... it's the Bandwidth Meter on CNET (dot) com. Do a Google search on "bandwidth meter cnet" and you'll get the link to this download test. It requires Flash, so it won't run on iPhones.
I prefer this test because it is conservative and it's visual -- it looks good on camera. It also uses the browser, which is how most people use the Internet on a cell phone.
@nobereballday ok can you point out where i compared 2 different samsung phones? and by what standard is the galaxy s2 screen crap you think that extra 100pixels makes a big difference? and it uses super amoled which knock the evos screen out. the galaxy nexus suffers lag because of ics not that its slow look at the droid razr older processer same gpu but flys compared to the galaxy nexus.and it wont cost them more for 1080p since a 2.1mp camera has enough resolution
@jjredickisabeast I really like the E4GT but you have to see a nice HD video played on the Rezound. I can take or leave the Beats stuff, but the display is killer. The Rezound feels good in the hand, too. And I still like Sense.
@Kenanskatelol lol wtf? first the iphone has nothing advanced in it and neither does the evo 3d aside from the 3d itself...the evo was a very good phone when it came out but its procceser is old compared to the new phone and alot weaker and the iphones most adanced part is the processer which isnt really advanced itself
@Kenanskatelol COMMENT 1: its not every phone now has 1gb of ram and 3d isnt that big of a advancment for me. hear me out you obviuosly dont know much about its processer. or anything else lets start with the screen. its just a regular lcd display with qhd resolution compared to a galaxy nexus with super amoled and 720p reolution. move on 2 camera the camera cant even shoot 1080p because the processer is to slow. im gonna right the rest in another comment cuz no characters remaining
ok now the processer htc makes their phoes so that each procceser does not know the other one is there..so if you play games instead of combing to do one texture they wont combine. it also means if your doing a heavy task they wont combine together to do it becuase they dont talk to each other. so in reality the performance of the proceser is like a fast single core device compared to the exinos te tegra 2 and the tiomap 4430 and 4460 it is trash
Save your time:
Test starts at: 0:57
Results for both tests: 1:23

Verizon can't compare to Sprint on unlimited data and monthly charges!!!
Verizon is just simply over charging their Customers
very sad to see!!!
