Nice movie, but the end is ''very good" . I was expecting something else and more "appropriate" finish. Stop taking these pills and had again his old life, or a more savage closing (he dies and maybe leave some money to his girlfriend) .

So many flaws in this movie. If he was so smart, why didn't he pay off his $100K debt to the Russian loan shark in the first place? For people who already watched this awesome movie, I didn't like the ending....he got away with EVERYTHING. I mean I know that the title is Limitless, but even so it really unrealistic for him to get away with everything though! Though despite the ending I really do love the movie. And what about the blonde - did he or didn't he? 3.5 out of 5 stars. Wish they had added some more scenes and explained a bit more. Still awesome though, I watched it twice.

@redstarburst45 Apparently he didn't have the side effects because he figured out how to keep the access to all his brain when he was in NZT causing him to able to make use of his brain with out side effects. There was an alternative ending though, the alternative ended with him still refusing to have unlimited NZT but he was still on the NZTs. I'm so sure who the blonde is >__>; unless you are talking about his girlfriend. She only took the NZT once, so she didn't get much of a side effect.

I thought that only helped temporarily while he was on the drug...but that he would end up like his ex-wife, messed up & w/a short attention span. His ex-girlfriend became all messed up because she did not figure out how to keep all the brain access which cause her to gain the side effects. Well again with blonde I believe her got away with everything. He became super smart, got the girl, and is not running for senate. It just basically him saying "I win always"

@takyume Nah, he was still taking NZT at the end. He was bluffing. The speaking Chinese part at the end was the give away. But none of that matters. The ending twist was just to get the audience buzzed and to talk/argue about the film after it's over, just like Inception's ending twist. What matters is the story as a whole. Take out the last scene's twist (just like horror movie's last scene twist where the villain survives or those that allude to a sequel..... those twist scenes don't matter).

Here's where this movie lost me: Why doesn't the main character take the pills, become a master chemist, and figure out how to make NZT pills that not only last longer, but have no side effects? If I had access to such a drug, that is the FIRST thing I would do!
