I tell you what i seen the F-15 and F-16 in airshows is my favorite jet from the airforce along with the F-14 and F-18superhornet from the navy

no the yakelov 48 was not developed before the harrier the harrier was designed and developed in 1961 and it was named sea harrier this version only certain countries in europe has it like england and italy the harrier that we have was assembled by mcdonell douglas and the engine is made by rolls royce pegasus turbofan engine

Hawker Siddeley Harrier GR.1/GR.3 was the first developed by Hawker Siddeley a British Company then a joint development by British Aerospace (BAe)and Mcdonell Douglas including Boeing developed the Harrier II. The Sea Harrier was developed only by BAe.

to start with the aircraft the russian aircraft just copy americans and europeans the harrier was first developed in england and it was called sea harrier then the company that assembled harrier subcontracted mcdonell douglas to make the harrier here also so the harrier is operated by england u.s.a spain and italy etc
