My favorite video of an awesomely decked out gunship in Swg, the memories.. Awesome video, who knows maybe a group of cyber hackers will invade Tor servers and switch the content to Swg and bring her back to life? .. probably not.. Can't deny I miss being able to boot up Swg on occassion and take the ol' Vigo up in Nova Orion space just for fun...

Hey, you could always do what I do on occasion... check out the recent tribute/whatnot Swg movies that have come up and post on em backing up Swg in comparison to Tor. One thing is for sure, I'm seeing hype building up for Swg in the wake of it being killed for Tor's introduction. Ironically, I think alot of Tor players are seeing all the amazing videos up on You-tube of the awesome stuff from Swg they can't touch in Tor... Who knows... maybe a Swg II might happen someday?

@ResiusOnline if you're referring to the ship class itself... depends. Gunships useful mostly only against other gunships, and larger ships (bombers etc) otherwise fighters go after fighters/etc.

but eve online is so much more in depth in game play and way more players and options. SWG was only 1/10th space 90% of the game was done on the ground not to mention this ships takes for ever and a fuck to get. space combat EVE Online>SWG

3 years in both games so thats my vote.

@obaniehia Yeah well here's the deal. Eve may have a bigger space environment, but its combat is more like SWG GROUND combat than space combat. In Jump to Lightspeed (SWG's space game) you actually fly all ships. The pilot is tasked with being able to both aim and evade. It isn't about specials, buffs, or dice rolls. It's all about pilot and crew ability. For that reason, to me, JTLS will ALWAYS be superior to Eve and any other space sim out there until we get a legitimate X-wing v TIE Fighter2.

@CptLoonee yes i was saying eve<swg in general i do miss flying in my freelance ships.

but the ground combat on swg is no where near the combat of eve online. SWG was all about buffs and stats/numbers.

eve online is more ship builds and classes not rush in and take out the target. though they do work in some cases in eve.but meh.

@obaniehia yeah i mean in eve your just controlling a huge ship alone and let every turret shoot the enemy while in swg you'll need crews i think crews just rock. although on eve the single pilot piloting huge ship with a pod is common(they are called capsuleers)

@MidnightLost01 I have the rebel gunship and it is sweet, but man you have to do a lot of killing and the lvl 5's take you forever to get. You can do it , just like I did, but it takes a LOT of time so you have to have patience.Good luck and if you are ever on Europe-farstar server just look up Danar, MTFBWY!!!!!

@ZoharSanctuary the main qeust and everything that leads to end game is kinda vague, and you might get lost often, though the comunity is excellent and wil give you plent of help if you need it, the only reason why i dont play anymore is becuase i screwed up on a few things and a enemy i used to grind on to get heaps of xp for little effort is gone from what ive heard.

@es107874 that ship is nothing more than an ITV (instant transport vehicle). You cannot fly it. Nor does it have an interior. It just lets you shuttle between shuttleports in game.

@seiya209 that is correct. The "other glove" is hidden in the wall or decoration. Had to rotate them so that only one glove was shown per pair and used two pairs per "Dark Trooper"

@BrandnewdayXY You have to complete the Force Shui collection that allows you to rotate items on all 3 axes with commands like /rotate yaw -180 through 180, or rotate roll 180 through -180.

The game is Star Wars Galaxies, of which, "Jump To Lightspeed" is the space simulation side of the game.

Phase 1 - 16.5 hours, all in one sitting. That got the basics of the reactor, the cockpit, the galley and lounge.

Phase 2 was probably about 10 hours over the span of a few weeks.

The schematic is a reward for completing the space slayer collection.
