  • There is no info to help viewers watch the videos in order. I personally prefer the headlight restoration video by blkyukon. They tape first and work much cleaner. Sorry, but this guy is pretty sloppy. I can see people creating more work for themselves after watching these.

  • Keep in mind, Rubbing compound will not last.... It might look clear now but after a few days it will start to haze again without a good sealer. Check out "Xtreme Headlight Restoration Kit" by Xtreme Clarity. No power tools required or polish compounds used.

  • Can you tell me where you get all the chemicals that you use in this video on the headlights and their names?

  • shadowrao its a lens you idiot the globe is inside the headlight. and as for it looking better it will for a short time but will turn yellow again without a uv coating.

  • this guy is a knob

  • now you have taken the protective uv coating off the headlight how are you going to protect the lens from the sun.???

  • @polly018 Yeah Ok cool dont do anything to it and and keep your car looking like shiiit. That sounds like a much better option. Or just spend bout $300 for new headlights.

  • @polly018 what lens? its a lightbulb.... i doubt the sun can do any damage to a light bulb... =/

  • wow it looks brand new after that...i think this is an over exaggeration.

  • SAME VEHICLE SAME HEADLIGHT THIS IS BULL YOU HAD SHOWN ANOTHER VID BUT DIFFERENT TECHNIQUE

  • @checkthisout704 this a just one step in a series to show how to restore your headlights lol

  • it look really good man ..... which brand of rubbing compound are you using

  • something else to keep in mind, sanding and buffing out plastic lenses is a REALLY great way to make em look new and save a good chunk of change too... BUT after you buff off the hard outer UV coating on a lens, it's a good idea to use some kind of plastic protecting wax, as with some lenses you've ground into the softer plastic and it will pit/yellow even faster:)

  • Why make a video like this and leave out the type of polishing compound. I notice in the video that he always leaves the front label of the black bottle turned around, so we cannot read it. I thought the purpose of making the video is to help people with information, so why leave out one of the most important parts?

  • Its Miguars Plastic X bottle. You will find it at walmart or autozone.....cost around 5 bucks.

  • Its a small business tactic. We do this so our dealers do not know what wax/polish we use. Knowing our products and the ease of use could easily put us out of business..

  • Idk im trying to find a good way to restore tail lights for a 1988 jeep comanche I would replace them but they nolonger make aftermarket lights for my truck.

  • Put tooth paste on them, rub it in for like 30 seconds, clean it off... Simple as that, they will look 60% better... Its what I do

  • arnt they the same as the XJ ones?

  • I'm having the same issues with my truck 89 Bronco 4X4..The headlights are 179.00 a piece..I'm going to try this method since it seems to be the least abrasive and damaging to the headlight it self..I'll let you know how it works out for me..you do the same

  • you can also do what i do and after cleaning plastic headlights use zymol cleaner wax on them it will help keep them clean it is expensive wax but works damn good

  • use plastX

  • If you do a decent job on the light it should last you another year or more. But I see many people are lazy asses around here, just man up and do the work again.

What else do you want? oil that never needs to be changed...

  • YESSSSS!!!! i would love oil that never needs to be changes LMAO

  • the headlights are plastic... it will always turn yellow...park it in the shade... i think car people did that so you can keep spending your money

  • not all headlights are plastic... mine are glass

  • my question is why is the headlight in the driver side is always the one getting foggy ?

  • Could be 'couse, it gets more dust and things from the passing cars

  • Who is this guy. I want to watch more of his videos.

  • used this method and it worked for me. It did a good job. I assume this is not a permanent solution though. So how can it be made to last?

  • replace the headlights.

  • if you need to replace your headlight , you dont need to watch this video , purpose of this video is to save you money!!!!!

  • great vid. Shows how easy it can be to bring new life back to a headlight. Thanks for the vid

  • Great, now he can show us how he applies the U.V coating back on the lens!

It will just turn to shit again, in no time!

  • just spray some clear coat over it when your all done. or pay the 150 bucks and get a new headlight.

  • i'd put way more tape on than that, if i was too lazy to take the headlight out!

  • very nice tip THANKS man!!!!!

  • hi,may i order pork vandalo?

  • what kinda compund is that?

  • i wish i could of did it like that than removing the whole headlight. much much easier than expected.

  • remove the head light will be easier and u can do a better job

  • masking it should be enough, take the headlight off would be hella work. maybe for me.

  • Depending on the car, it's not always that easy. In fact, some are extremely difficult and even body shops have trouble. Apart from which, there would no longer be anything anchoring it as you work. A worthwhile suggestion nonetheless I think.

  • Could I use the same rubbing compound I use on my car paint surface for my headlights?

  • yes you can!

  • Nice job Daddio!

  • the condensation on the headlights are not caused from the lights staying on... it is caused by mother nature..lol... the sun burns in any dirt and grime from the road that is not cleaned off of the plastic and the salt and snow also play a big part in this also... here in florida we have no snow but we do have the sun which does not help... the sun burns in all that dirt which causes plastic oxidation...

  • It's not condensation; it's abrasion. And oxidation causes the yellowing.

  • hey so actually there IS a cure for those clouded headlights??? O_o what kind of compound it is? standard rubbing compound, or special for the headlights??? Good Job

  • Good job man !
