Destroy it, don't use it. Nalgene bottles have a carcinogenic chemical, bisphenol A (#7 on the bottom). Bisphenol A causes cancer. Patgonia has pulled these recently as has Coast Mountain Sports in Canada.
You can use them for first aid kits and stuff. Destroying it is bad for the environment as recycling plants will not identify the plastic if it is destroyed.
i think you really need that big hammer to break a nalgene as it is very hard. but as long as you got liquid nitrogen, you can also blow it up by closing it very tight and throw it into water.
Made of super-tough smoke-gray polycarbonate, with an attached loop-top cap that won't come loose. Dishwasher safe (top rack, but make sure it does not touch heating element). Withstands temperatures from -135ºC (-211ºF) to135ºC (275ºF).
this came from the nalgene website. obviously liquid nitrogen is colder than -135ºC.
nice fucking warhammer wtf lol

It is not hard when you are a physics major, the stuff is practically lying around.

I think most things would break even without the Liguid Nitrogen if you used a hammer that big. But good job.
