  • cummins is the best - and dodge is the worst

  • FORDTOUGHDIESEL...... to bad ford hasn't made their own engine for years until 2011 and please, PLEASE show me a diesel tranny that is not "shit" they are NOT designed to hold power over stock abilities . So please smart guy teach me the way of the ford lover! And and lets not forget the all new cummins king 800ftlbs were's ford at now?

  • whats up with people writing books on the comment box fuck! my datsun can pull that

  • Why the fuck do dodge fans brag so much? The only good part about a dodge is the part they don't make. The engine! The trannys are shit, the cheap interior falls apart, and face it, they are ugly as fuck. Please, bring on the hate mail. There is a reason why Ford owns 52% of the truck market, it's because they make their stuff last. 35 years boys, 35 years.

  • @FordToughDiesel i have no promblem with ford. i had a few but the two ford diesel's i owned were made by international so sorry to burst your bubble.

  • wish everyone wasnt so caught up on cummins. the only reason people swap them out is because they like the ford truck but not the motor, they had problems out of the powerstroke or they bought a wrecked ford and wanted a cummins in it. the reason they swap them is beacuse its an easy swap, the cummins is cheaper to maintian and get power out of. im a ford guy myself and love the powerstokes but they are exspensive to build up and keep together. hints the cummins swap

  • Nothing beats that low end torque of a Cummins... or the sound for that matter, with the exception of the '11 powerstrokes with the full delete they sound like a Cummins on steroids!

  • It's a 12 valve school bus motor.

  • You can't compare to an Isuzu light-duty engine to a proven medium-heavy duty engine like a Cummins.

  • not bad for a show truck...

  • Not a common rail.

  • Nice truck.

  • suck it chevy

  • Wow, a 6-speed to, to bad he was a gear or two to high.

  • almost sounds like a 6.0 somehow definitely not no cummins though

  • @albesbiker1992 ur on crack

  • @RM250D8rzr all day every day

  • still sounds like a powerchoke

  • this is pretty cool, i'm a fan of the cummins and whatever anybody puts it in. i have one question, if anybody knows the song on the video let me know....thanks.

  • sure sounds like a V8 diesel........not a cummins.

  • @fountainpower nope its a common rail cummins

  • definitley a cummins.

  • you need your ears checked.

  • Very nice work. Congratulations.

  • dont u mean a dura snack

  • nope.

  • @Foxracing5552

    he meant duracrap

  • haha these tractor pulls were like 30 ft from my house lol

  • I saw the motor....its a common rail...

  • ah ...i think not! Its in my driveway its 12v from a '94 school bus. this was Shaun Dances old truck from Hillsboro OH

  • different truck

  • NOpe thats acommon rail..... diffrent exhaust tone.......

  • its not a common rail, its a 12v p pump, nv4500 and mitcheel clutch.

  • Nice hook! Cummins repowers rock!!!

  • that is sick!!! love it

  • EXCURSIONS RULES

  • That's the best combo ever! Stick a Cummins Diesel in a Ford Truck, And you've got the best vehicle on the planet! Somebody ought to start a business doing that...

  • thats a mean excursion. the wheels give you the city truck look but it can pull with the country boys. thats what i like to see

  • Could really do without those rims but bad ass none the less and great video! Btw, funny how no one ever swaps a Cummins OUT of their truck. Says something about GM & Ford diesel's.

  • its because cummins is a million, well maybe not a million but pretty close, times easier than a d-max to swap into another truck. thats why im doin a cummins in my 78 gmc.

  • I'm sorry but that isn't a good reason for me. I mean for these die hard guys too hard shouldn't be any kind of reason. Know what I mean?

  • idk wat kind of background u have in diesel but the wiring on the psd and duramax is crazy lol. if i wanted 2 take the 6 months to sort out the wires id do a d-max in it but a cummins looks so mean under the hood of older chevys.

  • Im not trying to get into a pissing match but,

"too hard" is not a excuse period.

  • It is literally a million times easier. Painless even makes a complete plug and play harness for a common rail swap. Plus they are a smaller package than a real engine, like say a Duramax. BTW daily driven work stock class Duramax's placed 1 and 3 in that pull, a trailered pro mod cummins managed second.

  • yeah, I agree!

  • ya i just saw that in last months iesel power i want a 12v tho. 24v takes a lil more mods to make the power and they have a hard time fueling them at high hp. p pumps the way to go 4 me lol

  • johnnyheyob, did you just insinuate that a Cummins 6-cylinder isn't a "real engine" like the V8 Duramax? So I guess that's why all the good semi-truck engines are inline-6's (many are made by Cummins and are just bigger versions of the same engine) and not V8's. The Cummins 6BT engine was taken from medium duty trucks and industrial applications and put into Dodge trucks. It's capable of 1,000,000 miles... A Duramax is capable of 200-300K if you're lucky. What a GREAT example of a "real" engine!

  • ya cummins is far superrior than other diesel engines ive never seen a duramax go past 400k ive seen many of cummins and 7.3 powerstroke exceed 700-800k tho =)!

  • i am acummins person, mostly because my brothers powerstroke threw a rod at 109,000 miles, ind i dislike them more now, but then he repowered it with a 12 valve cummins, i have videos of it you should take a look.

  • ya im a cummins guy too but not a huge dodge fan allthough my dad n other family has had nothin but luck with the 7.3's he got bout 600k outof a 1990 7.3 non turbo he sold it had some t-case n rearend problems but ran strong he got a 02 f-350 7.3 6spd weldin bed weighs about 13.5k only got 260k on it but hes replaced a injector or 2 if i had a manual trans in my 97 ford idep lace a 12valve in it but im not a fan of my E4OD its got the 351v8 tho wich has 200k goin strong only 15mpg tho ='(!!!!

  • I dont like dodge, at my house we call them cummins shipping krates, hehe. Havnt you sent me a message before about what transmisssion to use in your truck for a cummins swap? because my brother had done a cummins swap in his ford

  • probably im always tryin to get info on a swap ide prolly be better off buyin a dodge n just tryin to live with it >.>.. ide prolly be Disowned if i drove a dodge home tho.... just tryin to figure out what all i need for my swap before i go buyin shit from what i read i need a stand alone computer for my trans swaps get kinda costly..... anyways ya ive seen ur vids ur bro got a nice truck there =)!!!

  • Ya it is a pretty spendy swap but it is fun to have the thing around.

  • "Cummins shipping crates"!?! That's pretty damn funny! I'm more of a Dodge person, but I still gotta sense o' humor.

Duramaxes crack me up.. the name would insinuate "durability" but it's only good if you want to trade in your truck after 150K miles. They should call it the Disposamax!

  • Ya iv never been a big fan of dodges, but they were sure smart when the picked the 5.9 cummins.

  • good call crusso,, but you forgot to mention that tons of people Swap Cummins motors in to their fords and GMs,,, how many people would take their dodge and yank the cummins for a SUPER SWEET Duramax,, lol,, i doubt a single person would do such a stupid thing, lol

  • haha! no kidding.

But I gotta say that blind brand loyalty is weak. Unless yer dad WORKS for Ford, having family disown you 4 drivin a Dodge home is so redickless. And besides, 4 all Dodge dissers (engines aside) there are plenty of problems with Ford & GM trucks. Name be a Dodge truck issue, I'll name you 3 Ford & GM ones.

Appearance is relative. I happen to think 2nd gen Dodge's look bad-ass. I like all the Ford bodies, but interior/dash = UGLY!! To me the new GMs look like Capt Spock! :)

  • You missed the most valuable part of this little equation... People would rather swap a cummins into a Ford, vs leaving it in a Dodge disaster.

  • NOPE why waste the money by the time you finish the swap the body will fall apart, lol and yes i own an 06 cummins and love it , but not the pos dodge wraped around it.

  • easy there don't take it to heart tiger. Most "good" heavy duty diesels are I6 because that platform is the best at preventing vibration in an internal combustion engine. There are way more engines out there than just "semi-truck engines" and most of them are in V configuration...you get a smaller piston/con rod (less mass) out of a V config with more cylinders so they can rev higher. Plus a V package takes up a lot less space than an inline motor. The 6B was an ag engine also....

  • @johnnyheyob ugh no more clyinders = less vibration

  • @RM250D8rzr no. it's about the angles the reciprocating assembly makes.

  • The duramax is capable of 1,000,000 miles also...all engines are "capable", it just depends what kind of work you are willing to put into them, and yes, any small cummins is going to take work and new parts to reach anywhere near a million miles....don't deny that. I'm sure if the duramax was out as long as the 6B has been, and came with the low power ratings the high mileage 6B and BT's have, there would be a lot more of them out there with over a million miles...

  • @johnnyheyob dude heres my 3 diesel definitions powerstroke- diesel engine that you have to repair every other week. duramax- no definition other then its a pussy diesel. and cummins- worlds best diesel, good prices to fix up, easy to fix up, and never have to worry about it fallin apart like most other diesels.

there ya go now study these definitions and get back to me!!!

  • @JlAudio12W7Man get back to you? about what? you already have proved what an idiot you are lol...

  • @JlAudio12W7Man You're an idiot! Yes, the Cummins I feel is the best out there, but to say the Duramax is a pussy engine has to be the as bad a comment as saying the Cummins is a pussy engine. God damn, what is wrong with some of you Cummins fans? You make me ashamed to be one.

  • @johnnyheyob I want to agree with you technically but an industrial engine is an industrial engine. There is a big difference in what the bearings, rods, oiling and cooling systems are designed to take. Fatigue failure is much less of a possibility because the rotating components are designed to handle it. Duramax and Power strokes loose rods to simple fatigue with medium miles with perfect maintenance and driving patterns.

  • @04Forester They crack pistons, don't throw rods if stock.

  • @johnnyheyob lets just say a cummins will do a million with out the heads ever been takeing of. unless ur runing high psi turbo and lots of hp on stock gasket then ya thats differnt. a power stroke haha.. um ever 100 k the heads will need to be taken of

  • @RM250D8rzr maybe a VE or p pump motor, but there is a lot of parts to replace without taking the head off.....think vp pump, cp3 pump, egr...
