Peter green was by far the best blues man, Clapton, Hendrix, page, beck and so on... they were all great players but PG could play sing and write. I can understand why BB king said out of all the blues men PG was the one who worried him the most. what a voice, what a talent.
in my mind he's one of the greatest and also unfortunately the most unrewarded and under-rated players, if this song doesn't hit you like train then udk wt music is
It is 7:26am in the morning, im in sydney and drinking cheao wine out of a bottlle.
I needed to revisit this, has now inspired me to go busking all day! Fuck man, this dude is a completel god in my opinion.....i think the word inspiring gets thrown around to often....Peter was TRULY inspring!`
i have a alot of fleetwood mac CD's. none with this song on though! can someone please tell me if there is any CD's with this song on available anywhere?
I always feel with Peter that he spoils me with numbers like this, they are too good, and it leaves me longing for more when i have already had enough! That is peters gift, through his guitar he can make you elated and sad at the same time..
Peter knew his talent, he knew that through this particular number his was channeling and connecting with the audience and giving them what they wanted. It was a weight on his shoulders, some people cannot handle being truly great. I have so much respect for Peter and the friends who have helped him come out the other side. He truly is one of a kind.
shame the english and usa producers never had the insight to film him.... truly haunting and emotional..... my all time fav... and i have every guitarist from django to paul gilbert
I feel a small amount anger in this version, the other one elsware on youtube just makes you want to cry all the way through, this is blues like no other, anyware else.
What a great tone and voice may add! thanks Krahsnif for sharing - we are so lucky to have youtube and this space to share and appreciate the early, rare and live recordings of Greeny...i don't know what i would do without listening to tracks such as this, keeps me going through my hard times.
Did i mention the version in Stockholm 1970 is equally haunting and probably a touch more loud and experimental.
Also i hate to be one of those people that point out certain parts of a tune but as a guitarists i remember laughing in disbelief between 6:00 and 6:30 because its truely unique of Pg.
This is a fantastic version too that i thought needed to be heard, at first i thought it wasn't as fluid as NOLA one however one more listen and i was convinced! haha. Like Pg ever needed to convince me! lol. Thanks again. And shout out to all you reacurring lads i keep seeing on similar posts :D

That was great. It's a tragedy that we 'lost' Peter Green for the next few decades after this.
