interesting to note about this particular death: it was filmed (in grainy black and white without audio, but what could one expect for the time?), and there was some scientific information garnered from the whole thing (after his body was removed from the area, scientists present measured the hole he left in the ground).

This series is so great. It got me interested in History waaay back when I was a kid, I used to bring the books and magazines into my lessons to show my teacher (aww, bless). Now, I'm going on to do History at A Level. Sounds cheesy, but Horrible Histories really helped that happen.

what's the use of that. american history starts in the 1600s. before that it's the same english/european history that this show works with. yes they might include some victiorian stuff from america in its infancy, but that doesn't exactly give much more material. besides, it's even the same language. so I don't see the point really.
