Wow, if you get another one, will you post a video of just the sounds of the rain and thunder so we can enjoy without the music or talking....thanks for posting...it is beautiful!
The one thing I miss about living in Texas ... the thunder and lightning! Been in Seattle for 13 years. Love it, but only get one lightning strike and one clap of thunder a year. However, in early 2009 we experienced "thunder snow." It woke me from my sleep at 5 AM with a flash of light, a strong clap, and the beauty of snow showers blanketing downtown Seattle. Really strange for this Texas girl!
This was about 4 years ago now. I lived down near Corpus for 27 years and never saw such a storm. I am glad I got this footage. Glad you enjoyed it.... jf
@johnford= Beautiful work. I love following the Tex Mex tracks into Alic on my way to Corpus. Pretty town. Forgive me for asking, what is the name of the music playing?
That is some INTENSE lightning: wow. Added to favorites, hope I never see a storm like this (since I've been in four tornadoes, lost my roof in the third).
what is the music. who is it by. and good video by the way. I love tornados, but couldn't ever get close to one in real life.. i am terrified of them.
It was real. I did ad some sound effects but the tornado's or water spouts were real and that close together. Most of this storm was out over the Gulf of Mexico about 20 minutes south of my location.... jf
Yea its real. Waterspouts are easier to come by tho. It takes less wind to make them so all of those funnels were just an unorganized tornado. 1 Tornado.
Well when your actually there you can see more so its not so.... creepy i guess. Ive been through 3 tornados i know how to spot one!lol But when they are that far away and in the ocean where theres no sirens or people screamin its actually kinda neat lookin.
Thanks everyone for your comments.... even you leopold. Don't know what the music is, I just thought it fit with the storm. Sorry I haven't answered all your comments but I have been in Chicago at a Nationl Slot Car Race taking more video's. I may post something from there if I can find a short piece that would appeal to a large audience....jf

It's simply a street light about a quarter mile away. The power was coming and going all night so when it is out, there was no power....jf

The worst kind of storm.
At night and clearly pre-tornadic.
There was plenty of inflow judging buy the left side of the vid.
Several suspicious structures are visible.
Good ole Tornado Alley.
I lived in Ok & Tx most of my life.
I have seen 8 Tornados on the ground with accompanying debris and at least 5 more at the formation stage.

How scary I'm so glad I don't live anywhere near tornado ally. Great video though I liked it and the music made it even more real.

Were those real? I mean was the storm real? I mean that many tornadoes at once crowded like that? Is that possible?
