in order to get at least a 1 star ranking in a cup you need to have a fairly good time and u have to have finished in at least 1-3rd and have won the cup with the most pts

to get stars u have to hav atleast 1 star on EVERY cup in the entire game so on 50cc 100cc 150cc and 150cc mirror. and if have like 2 stars on everything except one and on that one u have 1 star, ur rank would be 1 star until u raise it
